- 1 Participated in driving lesson at Fuji Speedway P7, Sunako Juku
On this day, I was driving a Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera from the morning toward Fuji Speedway.
Gasoline is full when you leave Tokyo. Black carrera is shiny.
From the morning, I arrived at Fuji Speedway on a fun drive with my favorite black carrera.
After checking the temperature at the entrance, I headed to P7 (parking lot).
There is only one reason why I ran to FSW P7 from the morning. Driving lesson"Sako Juku"To participate in.
At first, Sunako Juku started by just observing where my husband was participating, and thenI forcibly applied for participation from my husband and tried to participate while saying "Yes"It was fun, and after all, this was my fourth participation.
I said "I won't participate", but when I noticed it was the 4th time, and even though I had always participated with my husband until now, this time (the schedule does not match) Even though I didn't have a husband, I finally joined by myself.
I knew that I would be participating alone this time, but even so, I was more motivated to go.
One of the reasons is that the venue this time was P7 of FSW.
Last time,When I practiced steady circular turning at Tsukuba Circuit Gym KanaThe circle was small due to the size of the place.
However, it was said that it is better to have a slightly larger circle to run with Porsche 911, so with FSW you can get a larger circle, so I want to try it there.
And another reason, as you can see from these participating vehicles (though the purpose of other people may be different ^ ^), anyway, to the instructor of the day when Porsche participated a lot Because Seiji Ara was there.
Mr. Ara is riding a BMW in the race currently being held, but for mePorsche truck experienceBecause he is an instructor of "Porsche 911, I will do this", "Because it is a black carrera, I will move it like this, I will do this kind of movement".
Also, even if I don't understand anything about this car term, he kindly and politely teaches me so that I can understand it, so it's very easy to understand.
Sunako Juku always starts from classroom lectures
At 8:30 in the morning, we started with a lecture.
Mr. Kochiya, the secretary general of Sunako Juku and an instructor, gave a greeting and explained the running practice to be held in the morning of this day.
It is important to understand why you practice steady circular turning
Next, from Mr. Ara, what you will learn in the practice of steady circular turning, what you need to know, what you should be able to do, etc. I will tell you.
Until now, even if I did a steady circular turn, it was just "running around the circle", and it seemed that I knew why I was practicing this, and I think I didn't really understand it well. I think.
However, because I was able to understand "why do you practice steady circular turning" by continuing to teach me the previous Sunako Juku and this time, and because I understand that, I can better understand the movement of the car. I think it has come to be.
Oh, I forgot to write it, but before the explanation, there was a self-introduction of the participants. There are some who participated in Sunako Juku for the first time, some regulars, some who are still beginners in driving, and some who are already quite good at driving.
After self-introduction and explanation, the morning driving lesson started immediately.
This time, four driving lesson areas will be created, and instructors will be attached to two of them, "steady circular turning" and "oval".
When I was told, "Let's get started," the participants started running from the person who could prepare and start, but I was preparing myself and the other participants started. I was watching and thought that this day would be an "absolutely good day".
Because ... This is the moment when the first one of the day started ... ↓
The start time was just 9:11 in the morning! !! !! For me who loves Porsche 911, the number "9:11" is a number that makes me happy.
I should start running early, but I just got in the car and said, "Wow, the first car started at 9:11! Somehow, that's the best start !!" at 9:11. I'm taking screenshots of this (laughs).
After being pleased that the run at Sunako Juku on that day started at 9:11, I started the black carrera so that I could continue to participate.
In the morning of this day, PSM (Porsche Stability Management System) is running off without switching to manual mode (fixed 1st speed for steady circle, 2nd speed for oval) and sports mode.
Difference in gripping force in tire condition
At the last Sunako Juku, I learned to "know the behavior of the front tires of my Porsche 911", so this time as well, first of all, I will check the behavior of the front of the black Carrera.
At this time, first of all, I checked how long my black Carrera front tires couldn't bear and started to rattle in the case of a stationary circle of this size.
- Clockwise: 38-40 km / h
- Counterclockwise: 33-35 km / h
It was from about. There is a big difference between clockwise and counterclockwise.
So to Mr. Ara
"The speed at which the front tires can't stand is so different between clockwise and counterclockwise, but since the tires are still slippery, is that because the degree of slipperiness is worse on the right?"
I was listening.
In fact, my black Carrera tires were already slippery and I was told to change them quickly.
I had already bought a new tire and had a reservation for a tire change 5 days after I joined this Sunako Juku, so I will change the tire soon, but this time it is the last tire before the change. Feeling that I went to abuse ^ ^
After talking about "the grip is worse in the counterclockwise direction", I asked Mr. Ara to drive my black carrera to run as a model.
While being taught, start from clockwise.
Then, he was told, "Then, I'm going counterclockwise this time," and Mr. Ara tried to show me a counterclockwise drift ... But, "Oh, that's true. I was told, "I can't get the right front at all," and said, "No, the right front doesn't grip at all, so let's go all clockwise today."
That's why I was ONLY clockwise on this day (laughs).
By the way, this is the front tire of the day, this is the left front ↓
This is the right front tire ↓
From this photo, it seems that the right side is still better (isn't it?), But anyway, when I actually ran, the right front did not grip at all.
Drift practice with Porsche 911 Carrera
so! !! !!
After deciding to "go only clockwise", I continued to do things one by one on this day.
Last time, when I turned off the accelerator when the front tires became unbearable, I experienced that the rear would slip if I did nothing for a few seconds while waiting for the time lag because it is a turbo-equipped car, so this time as well Experience.

Next, by creating an opportunity to start drifting the moment the rear slips, I aimed to "drift with Porsche 911" by hitting the counter at once and turning on the accelerator.
You can endure the front and wait for a few seconds after the accelerator is off ... the moment the rear slips, you can turn on the accelerator while hitting the counter ... as many times as you like.
However, after that, it spins by all means, or the drift does not start and ends immediately ... Repeatedly.
This is caused every time the rear slips:
- It's slow to hit the counter
- Not enough counters
- Insufficient depression of the accelerator
It wasn't done for any of the reasons (in my case).
From there, I just kept spinning, thinking only about improving what I was told.
My car's dashcam misunderstood that my car had a big accident and stopped recording from there (laughs).
and! !! !!
Finally, that time has come, finally, finally! !! !!
The moment the rear slipped, I stepped on the accelerator while hitting the counter all at once, and as it was ... Wow! !! !! I'm drifting! !! !! !! !!
The feeling was completely different.
Drift driving with your own driving that you experience for the first time. Porsche 911, Black Carrera ran with a movement that I had never felt before.
"This is a drift !!!!"
I'm so excited. It was just a momentary event, but I was so impressed that I went to Ara-san and was overjoyed, saying, "Now! Last! It's a little done, right ?!"
I thought, "I think I was able to drift about 3 meters," but Mr. Ara, who was objectively looking at me from the outside, said, "I was drifting about two cars, so the record is about 10 meters. I think it is ^^ ", so I would like to set my first drift record in my life to 10 meters (official) (laughs).
Even a drift of only 10 meters is a big step for me
Only 10 meters, but 10 meters.
Even though I have only slid and spun the car until now, for "I have never been able to drift", it means that I was able to drift properly even at 10 meters. It was a really, really big event, and I felt like I knew it for the first time.
"A small step for humanity, but a big step for me"
That's how it was! !!
picture? Is there something different? Was that so? Well, yeah, because the experience of the day was really a big step for me ^^! !! !!
Mr. Ara was pleased with the success of the first drift, saying "I was able to do it!", And I was in a state of great excitement with praise. I wanted to go there, but unfortunately it was lunch time here.
Ah, if I could practice for another two hours in a row, I felt like I was doing something more, so I was disappointed.
Lunch boxes are available for lunch, so please have them. Some people eat in a tent where they have a lecture, while others eat in a car.
Even during the lunch break, if I had a meal or talked with other people, it would pass in a blink of an eye, and then the afternoon session would start again from the classroom.
Practice in the course running setting in the afternoon
In the afternoon, we changed all the stationary circles that had been installed so far and changed to a large running course that used all of the P7 square.
We started running after telling us the course explanation and where and what to be careful about when running.
Even if we used such a large space, we had a capacity of 13 cars, so even if we all practiced the same course, there would be almost no waiting time.
Anyway, I can run more and more in front of me.
In this afternoon run, I ran in Sport Mode & PDK with PSM off.
A thankful environment where a lot of professional drivers can ride together
Mr. Tofuya and Mr. Ara also drove with me, and on the contrary, I also drove with them in the passenger seats.
When I was asked to drive, I was asked to explain "I will do this here", but when I was asked to put it into practice and get in the passenger seat, I confirmed what I was not able to do and said "Here It was very good because I was able to get advice one by one, such as "From more out".
Even if I think I'm doing what I was told, even if there is a corner that is always under, I asked him to ride and asked, "I'm sure I'll be under here." I was able to fix it because I was able to point out bad things from time to time, such as "I couldn't slow down too much."
When I look at the corn, it seems that there is a habit of unconsciously approaching the corn (laughs), so even though I can understand that while driving myself, "Oh, I'm being sucked into the corn again" When I was driving alone, I just repeated "I regret after being sucked by the cone".
However, if you ride with me, you will be told "From more out!" To the cone, so you can fix it by being aware of "Oh, that's right, more out, out ..." I mean.
That way, there are many things that I can't fix even if I know it ... I want to say, but if I say this, I'll get angry with Sunako ^^
Because this isAccording to Mr. Sunako, "I don't know that."And that's exactly what it is.
While I was waiting, I was able to see the other person's running, so it was very helpful to see the other person's running.
This day was a one-day lesson that started at 8:30 in the morning and ended at 16:00 in the evening, but the feeling was that it ended in a blink of an eye.
At 16:00, when I was told, "This is the last one," I thought, "Yes, it's over."
When the run was over and everyone gathered in the tent, Mr. Tofuya asked, "Are you still running short?" I couldn't say it on the spot, but in reality it was still running at all. There wasn't ^^
There were so many things I noticed on this day that I wanted to run more to digest them.
And anyway, it was fun to be able to run as hard as I could with the black carrera.
Black Carrera, who had arrived at this FSW shiny, was on this street when the lesson was over.
Except for this overtly visible muddy place, the side of the car is almost black instead of "black", it's black ... no, is it white? It was ^^
Furthermore, the inside of the car became quite hot on this day, so I wonder if the windows on both sides should be about 15 cm in a steady circle. It was open, but when Ara-san drove me and said, "Then, I'll do it for a while", when I got a drift of spirit, I was scared at the start! Water came in through the gap of about 15 cm (laughs).
I don't think there was any momentum in my driving that caused water to fly inside the car, but as expected ... ^^
Finally, I used water to wash away only the dirt that was too bad.
What is it? This is fun ^^
If possible, I wanted to bring a lot of microfiber cloth and wash the car here.
Finally, there was a wrap-up for the day, and all the participants gave their impressions of the day one word at a time.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves as they were fruitful.
What I learned from my fourth experience at Sunako Juku is that Sunako Juku is like Jiro ramen. What an analogy (laughs).
In other words, "If you eat (participate) three times, you will understand its deliciousness."
I was the same, and other people who participated on this day said, "I didn't really understand what was going on at the first participation," I think.
This does not mean that the teaching method at Sunako Juku is bad. On the contrary, the participants probably do not have enough understanding at first, so I think that even if they do what they are told, they may not fully understand it (* Driving). This is for beginners in the lesson).
So if it ends with "I don't understand well, I don't mind", that's it.
But when I said "I didn't understand well, I should go again", the second time I was asked "Oh, did you understand a little?" (But I probably don't know much here either), and the third time. So I grabbed something, and the fourth time I said, "It's super fun! I understand something!"
Ah, maybe this is just because I'm slow to understand (laughs).
However, I thought that it would make a difference if I participated at least three times. Also, I think it's important to get the information you want, as you listen to it from yourself, so I wonder if that kind of thing will become more and more memorable as the number of times increases. ..
… Ah, this is just me (laughs)?
Run about 80km in the parking lot of Fuji Speedway
By the way, at the beginning of this day, I was wondering how long I would run on this FSW P7 today, so I reset the black carrera rangefinder to 0 when the morning run started, and in this day's lesson I was measuring the mileage of.
From the start of the run at 9:11 (I am 9:15) to the end at 16:00, I was running a surprising "79.5km" distance with only the FSW P7. rice field.
I was running about 80km in the parking lot of Fuji Speedway (laughs).
Isn't that amazing? How long did you run? Probably the first experience of running about 80km only in the parking lot ^ ^
I just kept running for about 5 hours and 20 minutes. Even so, it was an instant time.
It was a really fun and fun day.
It was the most noticeable day in my life, and I feel that I have come to understand more about Black Carrera.
And what I can say is that I love this black carrera.
I think this is really strange, but I like it so much that it makes me painful.
Why do you practice drifting
I'm not aiming to "draw a circle and drift".
Still, I think that the reason I was practicing with the goal of drifting now is that I want to understand more about Porsche 911 and run more safely and enjoyably.
I think that drifting Porsche 911 can not be done unless you know the movement of Carrera as it is, so I thought that I could understand more about Black Carrera by being able to do it. I wonder if there is. perhaps.
So I was really happy to be able to drift myself even a little this time, and I was too happy to be able to have such a first experience with Black Carrera again.
He said, "Let's do our best so that we can do about half a lap (drift running) next time", so we can understand and control the movement of the black carrera properly during that time so that we can do our best for about half a lap next time. I will do my best.
By actually running with black carrera through what Mr. Sunako, Mr. Tofuya, and Mr. Ara are teaching at this Sunako Juku, I will become more and more fond of Porsche 911.
The more you drive and the more you know, the better the car.
Thank you to Mr. Tofuya, Mr. Ara, the staff of Sunako Juku, and all the participants who ran with us ^^
