New structure from October 2026: Porsche will reduce its global sales regions from 5 to 4.

Porsche reorganizes its global market into four regions.

Porsche has announced that it will be reviewing its international sales organization as part of a restructuring of its sales and marketing divisions.

The stated objectives are to expand responsibility in each market, strengthen global execution capabilities, and further improve collaboration between regions and headquarters.

As a result of this review, Porsche's sales regions will be reduced from the current "five regions" to "four regions."

The four regions are as follows:

1. Europe
2. The Americas
3. China
4. Overseas and Emerging Markets

Germany, where Porsche is headquartered, is now part of the European region, and Robert Ader will assume the role of Head of European Operations in addition to his current position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Porsche Deutschland GmbH, taking on the responsibility of managing and coordinating the entire European market.

The responsibilities for North America, Central America, and South America will also be consolidated, and the newly created region will be called "Americas," led by Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America.

There will be no significant changes to the sales region in China, which will remain under the leadership of Alexander Pollich.

Finally, the "Overseas & Emerging Markets" region has also been reorganized, with Mathias Busse, CEO of Porsche Korea Ltd., continuing in his current role while also assuming the new role of Regional Lead Overseas.

Mathias's responsibilities will focus on key growth markets across the Middle East and Asia.

As part of this organizational restructuring, the existing central departments for Europe, overseas regions, and emerging markets will be abolished, and this rationalization is said to bring the scope of responsibility closer to each market.

The new system announced today is scheduled to take effect from October 1, 2026.

The new organizational structure is expected to strengthen the autonomy of each region and expedite decision-making.

The Japanese market has always been included in the "Overseas & Emerging Markets" category, and that remains unchanged this time around. However, I wonder if there will be any impact (for better or for worse) in the future?

Personnel changes accompanying organizational restructuring

Along with this organizational restructuring, several personnel changes have also been announced. These are as follows:

• Christiane Zorn, currently Vice President of International and Emerging Markets, will assume a new position within the Volkswagen Group effective October 1, 2026 (Chairman and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Africa).
• Effective January 1, 2027, Iryna Kauk, currently Vice President of European Region at Porsche AG, will succeed Holger Gerrmann as CEO of Porsche Swiss AG.
• Holger Gerrmann, currently CEO of Porsche Swiss AG, has succeeded Michael Kirsch as CEO of Porsche Central & Eastern Europe SRO.
• Michael Kirsch, currently CEO of Porsche Central and Eastern Europe, will assume the position of CEO of Porsche Cars Australia Pty. Ltd. effective January 1, 2027.
• Daniel Schmollinger will assume the position of CEO of Porsche France SAS effective January 1, 2027.
• Jens Puttfarcken, the current CEO of Porsche France SAS, will step down on January 1, 2027.
