Tokyo Virtual Circuit: First Racing Simulation Training Experience

Posted: February 2, 2021 Updated:

TVC: Driving lessons with a racing simulator that can be done in Tokyo

Well, it's the beginning of a day that was exciting from the morning. As always, I said "I'm going ~ ^^" to my beloved Black Carrera and went out.

I was excited to head to Shibuya Ward in Tokyo. If you walk, the nearest station is Ebisu station.

Here is it.

Yes, this is a place called "Tokyo Virtual Circuit" where you can run on a racing simulator in Tokyo and not only that, but you can also receive training directly from Tomohiko Sunako.

It used to be in Akasaka, but now it has been relocated and the simulator has changed.

I have been to this Tokyo Virtual Circuit (TVC) several times in the past. When my husband takes a lesson in the simulator, he goes on a tour.

Ever since I was touring in the past, my husband kept telling me that I should try Rika-chan as well.

But until now, I have never driven or trained myself in this simulator.

Why is that?

Why didn't you come even though you had the opportunity to teach us various things using such a wonderful simulator in front of you?

that is.

That's a really silly reason, but to be honest, it was "embarrassing."

Because, if it is a real car, I do not think anything, but in this way everything is properly converted into data, recorded and visualized in the simulator, and all the running movements can be seen by people around me ... The situation was just embarrassing because I was too unconfident in my driving.

But this time I took the plunge and tried it for the first time.

If there are people who are hesitant like me, "I haven't done it, so I may be too bad at running," I can say that I tried this time. It means that you can do anything if you open it up again, saying, "No, I'm not good at it!" (Laughs).

Because I'm an amateur in the first place and I don't usually drive on the circuit, so if I can run perfectly from the beginning, it's a miracle or a natural genius.

But that's not really the case, and everyone is a beginner at first, and no matter how strange they run, they reopen and say, "It's the first time, right?", One by one. I wondered if I should be told what I didn't understand and what I couldn't do and correct it.

No matter how bad you are, Mr. Sunako, who teaches you, will of course not laugh, and he will give you advice for each level. I thought it would be better for me to think, "Oh, I don't know anything about this guy."

It doesn't make sense to pretend that you know it badly.

I don't know what I don't understand, I should ask what to do, and if I don't understand, I ask again and again. First of all, I learned that I can't learn anything while thinking "embarrassing" or "I have to look good" ^^

I want to run FSW with Porsche 911

By the way, this time I chose and ran the Fuji Speedway.

Because I don't usually want to drive on the circuit or aim to race.

But the only thing I want to do is Porsche's driving school.Porsche Truck ExperienceAt the end, "Fuji Speedway free practice".

Therefore, I want to drive with my own black carrera, which I love, with as little regret as possible.

That's all for that.

It's a level that can't be helped if compared to other people, but at least I want to do FSW driving that I can convince myself that I can enjoy it to the fullest with Carrera. It is. That is the goal.

That's why I trained with the FSW simulation, but when I tried it, I thought, "I don't have enough nerves in my brain !!" (laughs).

I used to think that I could do multitasking to some extent, but when I asked Tomohiko Sunako to give me a running lesson, I thought, "My brain, maybe synapse. Maybe only a few are working at a time. "

"Turn more steering!" "Do not turn while stepping on the brake (do not enter the corner)!" "Determine the strength to step on the brake, do not step again!" "Maximum steering angle" "Clipping point" "Look far away" ... And, while there are various inputs, even if the number of revolutions has already reached the limit, even if it is warm, it will forget to shift up.

Repeating such a thing.

Furthermore, although I knew that it was important to "remember my own run, reproduce it so that I could do better next time than the memorized run, and improve it", in the first place, "I can't remember my run." The fatal situation.

I realized that I was running more like a tech toe than I had expected. Even if you are a professional, no matter how natural your talent is, you can't run into a techto just by feeling, but as an amateur, I'm running with such a sensation, and I was able to drive a car properly. I felt painfully that I couldn't be there.

Know your lack of memory with data logger analysis

Perhaps the more amateurs you are, the more you may think that you have to run faster in this kind of simulator training.

Even though I was "bad and natural", I was thinking somewhere that "but it must be possible to run as fast as possible".

However, this act of forcibly running fast leads to "I can't remember my running" after all. I only know what I ran and how I ran, I don't remember, I can't reproduce it.

Looking at the data later, the way of running is terribly different every time, sometimes the brakes are strongly applied, sometimes it is weak, and I can not remember or reproduce my past running at all. It is.

This cannot move forward.

So, let's get back to the first story, but it's already reopening to the point of "I'm not good at it, but what?" I realized that was important.

* I'm not saying that running fast is bad (of course, that shouldn't happen ~ ^^), but it's a story when you're a beginner level like me and you don't know the basics yet.

It's embarrassing, but here is the data of the training with the simulator for the first time this time. The colored line is the model line of Tomohiko Sunako, and the white line is my run.

If you look at it, you will know how bad it is (laughs), but it was very easy to understand by converting your running style into data and visually understanding it. is.

After training in the simulator, I had a little tea, but at that time I was told to do this, and even if I understood it in my head, I couldn't actually do it as an action. When I said, "I just don't understand it. I don't understand it even in my head."

At the moment I was told, I thought, "No, even if I thought I had to do this, I would just do something different" (rebellious period (laughs)), but then the head of the school said, "I'm running. People think that what they are doing is the best, that is, they don't know, "he said, and he was very convinced.

Certainly, if I stepped on the brakes strangely, I thought it would be best to brake there, so I thought, "Oh, don't brake here, but step on." I'm not stepping on it.

In other words, I'm doing what I think is the best on the spot. But if the behavior that I thought was the best was not correct, I couldn't understand whether it was a desk or something.

Ahh, I'm really convinced. It was a convincing day.

Finally, Mr. Kochiya, who is very much indebted as an instructor at Sunako Juku, also started a simulator ↑, I was watching it, but in fact this simulator is amazing (physically) ) I noticed that it was working.

When I was sitting and driving, I didn't realize it was moving so much. However, I wondered if I was able to feel like I was driving a car because I was driving so much.

I wrote it ramblingly, but it was a huge step forward for me, as I was aware of many things.

Last time, I was really looking forward to driving FSW at Porsche Truck Experience.Carrera broke and I couldn't run..

Now I can think that I wasn't satisfied with anything even if I ran without knowing anything so much, and that's why Black Carrera hasn't let me run FSW yet. I was wondering if it was ^^

If anyone is hesitant to say, "Suddenly it's a simulator in public," I think it's best to open it up again by saying, "No, I'm not good at it!"

If you try it and you are really bad, you can tell from the bottom, and if you can do more than you think, of course you can tell according to the level.

It will be a very fruitful session for all levels, from beginners to advanced players, as you will be able to see it directly from President Sunako on a one-on-one basis.

There is also a trial price of 15 minutes, so if you are interested, please come →TVC price list

This time, it was very fruitful for me as well ... or rather, it was an experience that I noticed a lot. Hope you can run with Porsche 911 that you can be satisfied with with FSW someday!

It's fun to run. If you can understand and run more properly, it will be many times more fun. Good luck ~ ^^

Thank you to Tokyo Virtual Circuit, Tomohiko Sunako, and Mr. Tofuya for the opportunity to have a lot of fun and notice! !!
