Cornes Shinonome Service Center: Lamborghini & Bentley
This happened a little while ago, but I participated in an event called "Shinonome Festa" held at the Cornes Shinonome Service Center.
This event involves visiting Cornes' service center in Shinonome, and there are various fun activities planned.
The theme for this year was "A slightly early summer festival."
The Shinonome Service Center had an open and welcoming atmosphere, and there were many families with children there.

This Shinonome Service Center is the only location within Cornes that handles Lamborghini and Bentley vehicles, so the certified pre-owned cars displayed on the premises were also Bentleys...

Lamborghinis.

Urus SE test drive
Walking past the certified pre-owned cars on display, I first went to the reception area and checked in, where a screen displayed the "number of people waiting for a test drive."
Hmm? Is it possible to test drive it today?
"You can take a test drive!" they said, and since the Urus SE was available with no waiting time, I decided to go straight into driving the Urus SE.

I never expected to be able to test drive a car that day, so it was an unexpected bonus.
That said, my husband was driving and I was in the back seat (I didn't have a driver's license back then, haha). The instructor was in the passenger seat, and guess what happened.

The instructor who taught us that day was someone I had met before.Mr. Ebisuda, who was an instructor at Porsche's driving lesson program, PTX.That's the kind of person he was.
Actually, even before I took a test drive, the moment I arrived at the Shinonome Service Center that day, I spotted Mr. Koda and exclaimed, "Ahhh! Why are you here?!" (←Thinking about it now, that was really rude lol)

It was a sudden and wonderful reunion, as I never expected to see you again.
Ms. Koda is always smiling and very kind.

I sat in the back seat, but I deliberately chose the middle seat because I wanted to see what was happening in front (suspicious, I know).

Lamborghini is known for its unique turn signals, which aren't operated by a lever like in most cars. Instead, you turn them on and off by moving a button-like control on the steering wheel from side to side. I assumed the Urus would be the same, but I learned for the first time that day that the Urus uses a lever to turn the signals up and down, just like a normal car.

Also, what's really refreshing about this car is that this part (what do you call it? It's the part below the navigation screen that extends from the steering wheel to the dashboard, and in Porsches, it's an option to change it to aluminum or carbon fiber) is made of leather in the Urus.
The cross-stitch design makes it even cuter.

During the test drive, I even had a chance encounter with a Porsche!
Despite being a large SUV, the Urus SE gave me the feeling that it could easily handle corners at high speeds.
I had a very enjoyable test drive, experiencing the high performance of the Urus SE, receiving explanations about various modes and other things, and even getting into conversations about completely unrelated topics.

Bentley Continental GT Speed Test Drive
After finishing my test drive of the Urus SE and returning, I spent some time exploring the building, and during that time I was able to wait in line for another test drive, so I also got to test drive the other car.
This is the Bentley Continental GT Speed.

You should see three clock-like displays where the regular navigation system would normally be. This panel rotates, and the display changes.
It features a rotating display, allowing you to switch between the three analog gauges shown, the navigation screen, or the wood panel.
In my case, I'd probably leave the navigation screen on most of the time... but I guess Bentley caters to those who seek elegance even in these small details.

From the perspective of being inside the car, it doesn't feel particularly spacious, but I was surprised by how large the car actually is.
The test drive of this car was also a fun experience, with a different instructor riding along and explaining various things. Thank you!

Incidentally, on this day, it was also possible to test drive the Lamborghini Temerario and the Bentley Bentayga Speed.

Quick check of your car's condition
One of the things we're grateful for at this Shinonome Festa is the "quick car check" service.
They lifted up the car we brought in that day and gave it a quick check.
Normally, unless it's during the annual inspection or vehicle inspection, I don't ask "Could you lift it up and take a look?" unless I feel there's a problem. So, it's reassuring and I'm really grateful that they can quickly check everything just in case, even when I don't feel any particular issues.

And so, here is our Huracán EVO, lifted up on the hoist.

The mechanic explained things to us from below, saying, "This is how it is, and this is how it is," and he also answered any questions we had.

At that time, three Lamborghinis were lifted up, including our own Huracán, and somehow the sight was really cool ^^
Oh yes, and after they did this quick check, they even washed my car for me. I'm so grateful. Thank you so much.

Now, let me introduce the events that were held inside the service center.

You can enjoy a variety of drinks, including non-alcoholic cocktail-like beverages and ramune (a Japanese soda) that evokes a summer festival atmosphere.

On this day too, several children were wearing Cornes' children's jumpsuits, which looked incredibly cute, and there was also a kids' mechanic experience where the children could pretend to be mechanics.

It seems that real car parts were prepared, and the kids were given the opportunity to experience being a mechanic, with the help of some mechanics.

There were also exhibits geared towards adults.
When I first saw this, I thought, "So they put VW and Audi logos on Lamborghini engines too?" because it had both the Volkswagen (VW) and Audi logos on it. But it turned out to be a Bentley engine, not a Lamborghini one.

It's a Bentley W12 engine.
I was told that it's a W-shape (a combination of two 3-cylinder engines) because they're arranged in a V-shape with three 3-cylinder engines placed diagonally... but is my understanding correct?

And apparently this is a Lamborghini transmission.

Festival games
Since the theme for the day was a summer festival, various events reminiscent of a traditional Japanese summer festival were also prepared.
When I checked in, I received this ticket, which contained four "festival tickets," one food ticket, and one "fortune-telling ticket."

Using this "fortune-telling ticket," I was able to have my fortune told about anything I wanted by one of the fortune tellers present at the venue.
Since we were there anyway, we decided to have our fortunes told as well. We only told the fortune teller the birth dates and names of our children, but she was able to describe each of their personalities quite accurately, which really surprised us.
"Wow! How did she know??" I was so excited, and then the fortune teller said, "If you sign the contract to buy Temerario right here and now, your luck will skyrocket from now on," so I immediately decided to buy it (just kidding lol).
And now, surprisingly, there was even a "magic trick" performance.
No tickets were required; you could just watch the magic show when it was time. The children were captivated by the magic, and so were the adults behind them.
This was truly amazing.

The things used were simply cards (playing cards) and the spectators' watches, but even after staring at them intently many times right in front of me, I was still left thinking, "Huh?!"
I mean, this person presents this as a magic trick, but I can't help but wonder if it's actually real hand power, and they're just deliberately hiding that fact and calling it a magic trick? I'm almost falling for all sorts of tricks myself (lol).
Wow, that was amazing! If that was truly a magic trick with a trick and gimmick involved, it was incredible!
Next, we headed to the shooting gallery, a typical event at a Japanese festival. There were also other attractions such as candy molding and popcorn available.
We enjoyed the shooting gallery, and at first we were a little hesitant, thinking, "This is probably an event for kids, is it really okay for us to participate?" But it was so much fun (lol), we ended up getting really serious about grabbing candy.
Now I understand why each household is limited to four festival tickets. If there were no limit, I'd keep playing forever!

Finally, the meal served that day was, as the theme was a summer festival, a menu plate that looked like something you'd find at a festival food stall.
I expected yakisoba and frankfurters, but I was surprised that grilled squid was included too!
By the way, they grill and serve the food right there in the Shinonome Service Center area! I enjoyed the delicious food while having fun with the food stall theme.

The Shinonome Festa was held at the Cornes Shinonome Service Center. Thank you, Cornes, for always providing such wonderful times and experiences.
I was able to relax and enjoy myself more than I expected, and I had a great time experiencing various things.
For those who have purchased a car from Cornes, especially families with young children, why not give it a try next time?
