Did I actually go to Ferrari Racing Days 2024?

First, Nagoya

This happened a while ago, but "Ferrari Racing Days" was held at Suzuka Circuit for two days on Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th, 2024.

Held at Fuji Speedway in 2023I also participated in Ferrari Racing Days (hereinafter referred to as FRD).I started this year with full intention to go again.

My plan this time is to stay in Nagoya the night before on Saturday and then go to FRD only on Sunday.

Furthermore, due to the time constraints on when we could leave Tokyo, I decided to drive to Nagoya by myself first, and my husband would arrive in Nagoya by Shinkansen in the evening.

So, I started off with a fun drive by myself. As I was getting closer to Nagoya, I stopped off at NEOPASA Okazaki for a short break.

But it was so hot that I think I might have been more tired if I had taken a break.

It was comfortable in the car all the way from Tokyo to here, but the moment I got off the car in Okazaki, I was like, "What on earth is this?" I forgot to check the temperature, but it was so hot that I felt like I was melting in an instant.

Still, the Carrera T is really comfortable, fun and awesome, and it looks great when parked, and a pervert appeared in Okazaki, grinning in the heat in appreciation of having had such fun with the Carrera T.

After a short break in Okazaki, we continued on towards Nagoya.

I've been to Aichi Prefecture many times by car, but I always just drove around the highway in a camper van.Stamp RallyI was just driving to some point in the dark without knowing where I was (lol), and it felt like it had been years since I had properly entered Nagoya city in daylight.

Cars stand out in the hotel's driveway

The hotel where I am staying has a valet parking system, so I park in front of the front desk.

For some reason, don't cars look even cooler than usual at the hotel driveway?

As I looked at my own car, I couldn't help but get excited and self-satisfied, thinking, "It's so cool," so I asked, "Excuse me, can I take a picture?" and took a photo, while the young man and woman from the hotel looked on.

The hotel staff was also kind and said, "Do you want to take a photo from the other side? We'll move the car behind you if you want to take a photo!" They were so kind.

I can't be that bold, so I'm very happy with this one. Thank you very much.

When I looked at the valet parking ticket I was given after leaving my car, the number was "01199".

It's kind of like a 911, but not exactly (lol).

The alarm on my Porsche 911 went off and I got a notification.

And here's one thing that impressed me more than anything else.

Yes, it seems the Carrera T's alarm went off.

After leaving my car in the valet parking at this hotel, I was supposed to be able to park my car in the mechanical parking lot, but when I did, an alarm went off and I got the following message on my smartphone's My Porsche app:

I have parked in mechanical parking lots many times before, but the alarm has never gone off, so this was the first time I learned that when the alarm goes off, you receive a message like this.

This may seem strange, but I'm grateful that the alarm went off this time. I didn't know that I would receive a notification, so I was a little touched.

So, I checked into the hotel without any problems.

Enjoyable dinner time in Nagoya

After that, I met up with my husband who had arrived by Shinkansen and it was dinner time in Nagoya.

This time in Nagoya, I had dinner with a couple who I met through Porsche.

I had no idea about restaurants in Nagoya, so I left it to them...Kitchen ToshikiI was taken there. Thank you very much.

The chef and everyone at the restaurant were wonderful, and it was the first time in a long time that I had had a meal with the couple, so we had a very enjoyable and delicious time.

We were also given some very valuable Japanese sake, and it was a truly delicious meal.

...I had a lot of fun drinking and eating, and since I had FRD the next day, I should have gone home now, but I was having too much fun...

Yes, cheers!

This time, the couple will visit their usual place again.LA VAGABONDEI was introduced to it and decided to drink it.

Here too, we had a wonderful time with very nice people, including the sommelier.

I can't express my gratitude to the couple who joined us. Thank you so much. It was a delicious meal.

Although the couple's relationship now is more deeply rooted in other manufacturers than in Porsche, their original meeting was through Porsche.

This is also a wonderful couple that I would never have met if I had never met Porsche. I am truly grateful to Porsche for bringing me this happy encounter.

Heading to Ferrari Racing Days?

We had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food and returned to the hotel just as the day changed.

I went to bed with a full stomach, thinking back on the fun time I had had.

And the next morning.

Breakfast at the hotel.

I was thinking about going to FRD after breakfast, but the hotel said, "It's the weekend, so we can't stay too late, but we can still check out at 1pm." So after breakfast, I went to the gym, ate some snacks there, and lazed around until 1pm.

At 1pm we finally checked out of the hotel and headed to Suzuka.

Of course, when I was leaving, I took a photo with a big grin on my face in front of the car park. Wow, it was so cool (sorry, I was just being self-satisfied).

Off to Suzuka Circuit

From here we drove to Suzuka.

So.

Actually, I was expecting to be drinking until late into the night on Saturday, so I didn't purchase an owner's ticket to FRD because I didn't think I would be able to arrive at Suzuka too early.

To begin with, we don't have a Ferrari at home right now (lol), so even if I enter with an owner's pass, I won't be able to participate in the parade...

Moreover, an owner's pass costs 50,000 yen per person, so since we arrived late and probably wouldn't even have lunch, I wasn't sure if it was worth paying 100,000 yen for two people. Furthermore, my favorite sales people from Ferrari (and another person from Cornes) had retired and I would no longer be able to meet them, so this time I thought I'd just try to enjoy myself and get in with a general ticket.

Arrived at Suzuka Circuit.

The Ferrari Racing Days were in full swing... but we arrived at 14:30, and even if we entered we couldn't park in the Ferrari parking lot, so we had to travel from far away... so there was almost nothing left to see!

Yes, um, let's go to the entrance of Suzuka Circuit...

I just left without going in (lol)!

Hahaha, what did you go from Tokyo to Suzuka Circuit for (lol)?!

But you have to admit that I did go to Suzuka to participate in FRD (who am I telling that to (lol)).

Personally, I wanted to see the 12 Chirindori exhibit at this year's FRD, but I received a photo of it from an acquaintance who also attended FRD, so I was satisfied with that.

Well, I guess driving from Tokyo to Suzuka Circuit just to get to the entrance of FRD would be a good idea in my life!

The original plan for going to Suzuka was to participate in FRD, but this time we stayed overnight in Nagoya, where we had so much fun that the main focus of the drive was on that.

Next year I would like to participate in Ferrari Racing Days properly.
