Porsche's 76th Anniversary Celebration: Porsche Girls Gather on Asakusa Hoppy Street

Bring Pink Pig to a Porsche girls' party

A little while ago, June 8, 2024, was the 76th anniversary of the birth of Porsche.

Ferry Porsche built the Porsche 356 “No.1” Roadster in 1948 and it was the first car to be registered as a PORSCHE. June 8, 1948, is considered the birth date of the Porsche brand, and 2024 marks 76 years since then.

On June 8th, I took Pink Pig to a certain place. It seemed suspicious (lol).

This is where we arrived, Sensoji Temple in Asakusa.

On this day, six Porsche girls gathered together to celebrate Porsche's birthday.

*The members for this event were decided by chance through various other conversations, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to talk to all the Porsche girls I already know. However, I don't mind if Porsche girls' meetings are held in the future without me being asked, and I hope that everyone can gather as they like. Of course, when there is a big meeting, I hope to talk to as many people as possible!

First, we all walked down Nakamise Shopping Street and then had time to draw fortunes at Sensoji Temple.

Sensoji Temple is famous for having a high rate of bad luck, and the Porsche ladies on this day also had a high rate of bad luck, hehehe.

But, that means your luck will only get better from now on, so in a way it's okay.

By the way, I had drawn a miraculous lucky fortune at Sensoji Temple at the beginning of the year, so I didn't draw it again this time as I didn't want to repaint it (lol) ← Is that cheating?

The idea for this get-together came from a conversation that occurred when several Porsche girls got together previously and decided that next time they wanted to go to a casual bar like Akachochin and have a drink.

Therefore, the location of this Porsche celebration will be Hoppy Street in Asakusa.

Actually, this was my first time on Hoppy Street.

However, I'd always wanted to visit this shop in Asakusa where you sit on round stools, so it was a dream come true and it was great.

Six Porsche girls just walked into an empty restaurant without making a reservation.

On this day, before I left, my husband said to me, "Why don't you buy some Hepalize for everyone?" But when I went to the nearby supermarket, they didn't have it, so I gave up...

What!

A certain Porsche girl gifted everyone with "Turmeric Power" (lol). That's amazing!!

What's more, turmeric power comes with a Porsche crest - that's some real girl power.

So, first of all, we all toasted to the power of turmeric. This was the moment when we saw how much we were going to drink after that (laughs). It was just too good. I love it.

After the power of turmeric, the alcohol starts. The Porsche girls toast with red lanterns. Ahh, it's just so awesome.

However, since we're not drunk yet, we start off with a fairly rational conversation.

Since there were some people meeting each other for the first time, the event began with a self-introduction session, asking questions such as "What do you ride?"

Still, what's incomprehensible is the girl running off to buy shoes, and the whole thing just doesn't make sense, which makes it really funny. You don't know what they're saying, do you? (laughs)

Since this day was a special day for girls with a Porsche connection, we decided to bring some Porsche goods with us, so there were Porsche ducks mixed in with the red lanterns on Hoppy Street in Asakusa.

Wow, I can't remember how many times we toasted.

We just kept saying, "Bring me some alcohol!" and drank, drank and drank.

It's starting to look a lot better ^^

Once everyone was ready, there was a ton of laughter, and even tears (?), and it was just such a fun situation.

so.

I realized after I got home that on that day, the story was "Let's bring Porsche goods and drink to celebrate Porsche's birthday!"

When I think about it, everyone was so excited that not a single person said, "Congratulations on the Porsche!" and we just toasted to the Porsche girls (laughs).

Even though we were all gathered together with people who love Porsche, I was so enjoying the drinks in front of me and the conversations with everyone that I completely forgot about the intention of celebrating Porsche. I'm sorry (lol).

It was a really fun time.

We talked about a lot of different things and topics (I think it was around 60% (lol)), but the underlying connection was still Porsche, and that was the best thing.

After all, these are people who might never have met each other if it weren't for their connection to Porsche.

But now I have had the opportunity to meet people like this through Porsche, and even though we are all different ages and from different backgrounds, it has been a wonderful encounter.

I am grateful for the many connections that Porsche has made to me, not just with women, and I am still grateful to them to this day. However, this time I was especially grateful for the wonderful encounters I had with women of the same sex.

After all, Porsche is not only a car, but it also reminded me that the brand's "lifestyle of driving a Porsche" is the best, not just in terms of its performance as a car.

I really think it's a miracle that at my age I've been able to meet people like this on Hoppy Street ↓ who I can enjoy drinking with and have fun with.

I've already had quite a bit to drink, but now I'm going to move on to the second one.

With the Porsche flag at the front, it was like a "Porsche bus tour". A drunk group ^^

The second place was a rather stylish Italian restaurant (I think? I remember it being 50% (lol)).

First of all, we decided to have a toast with some German wine. I finally remembered a little bit of respect for Porsche.

After that, I finished a bottle of red wine, and before I knew it, six hours had passed since I first started drinking.

It was such a fun time that I didn't even feel like six hours had passed.

It was a little over six and a half hours until the party closed, so I guess we spent six hours just drinking. Great.

The shop staff were all very nice, and they even took a group photo for us and let us display the Porsche goods we all brought. Thank you very much.

Sorry, writing this makes it seem like nothing more than a drunken party report (lol), but anyway, it was so much fun that just thinking about this day makes me feel grateful for meeting all the Porsche girls I met through Porsche.

This time, everyone left their Porsches at home for the gathering, but it was great to have the opportunity to have fun at such gatherings in addition to driving Porsches.

Thank you for a most enjoyable time.

Although this is an anniversary where I wasn't able to congratulate Porsche at all (sorry (lol)), I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the 76th anniversary of Porsche's birth.

Congratulations and...thank you ^^!

I'm really happy to have met Porsche.
