Mini Porsche Girls' Gathering: Teppanyaki and Strawberries in Utsunomiya

I attended a Porsche girls' get-together in my Porsche 911 Cabriolet.

There have been so many Porsche-related events in March and April that I haven't been able to keep up with writing about all the things I want to on my blog.

The timeline is a bit jumbled and out of order, but this time I'd like to write about the Porsche Girls' Gathering I attended in March 2026, which I haven't gotten around to writing about yet.

On this day, I participated in the event with my 992.1 model Porsche 911 Cabriolet (Crayon). Our destination was Utsunomiya City!

When I think about it, I hardly ever take my convertible on tours or anything like that. In fact, just before this girls' get-together, someone I met at PEC Tokyo asked me, "Don't you use your convertible at all?" That made me realize that, while I do drive it around normally, I don't take it out for events like the ones I write about on my blog.

Having learned my lesson (?), this time I went for a convertible. The weather was absolutely perfect, so it was truly a great day for a convertible.

The meeting time for that day was 10:30 in the morning.

Despite that, everyone had different reasons for arriving, such as "I can't predict the traffic situation," "I can't be late," and "I'm just too excited," and before we knew it, almost everyone had gathered by 9:30 (lol).

As expected, the Porsche ladies were incredibly punctual (almost too early!), and they were able to act perfectly according to plan with plenty of time to spare from the morning.

Once everyone had gathered, we drove to our destination for the day, led by a cool bright red Porsche 911 GT3.

...That was the plan, but since the start time of the touring trip was moved up, we had too much time to spare before our next appointment, so we decided to stop by the Mibu Parking Area.

Since this rest area had a farm produce sales area, the moment the Porsche girls stepped in, they all instantly switched into "a bunch of neighborhood aunties gathered to snag the supermarket's special sale" mode (lol).

Because it's so cheap!! Fresh and delicious-looking vegetables and other things are so cheap, it's the best. Everyone went on a shopping spree like a normal housewife ^^

"Wow, potatoes were so expensive in Tokyo yesterday I couldn't buy any, so it's great that I can buy them here today," I said as I returned to the parking lot, and then I came back to my senses after seeing the bright red GT3.

Oh, today was supposed to be a Porsche girls' get-together. (But everyone's already carrying leeks and stuff...)

Oh yes, not in the GT3, but in the other red 911, there was a Porsche 930-shaped in-car aroma dispenser that has been sold by Porsche Lifestyle for a while now.

I think there were five colors in total: red, blue, green, white, and pink. Looking around, it seemed like people were choosing based on the color of their car rather than the scent.

Now, after getting excited about the agricultural products and doing some shopping, we'll finally head to our destination for the day.

We've arrived here!

Lunch at Teppanyaki Iwasaki-tei

So, where exactly is this place? Well, this is...Iwasaki-tei is a teppanyaki restaurant in Utsunomiya.is.

It's a very popular restaurant, so the person who organized this Porsche ladies' get-together made a reservation several months in advance.

Moreover, the venue is reserved exclusively for lunchtime.

So, we squeezed our cars into the parking lot and managed to park all eight Porsches that had gathered that day perfectly.

The girls were already starving.

First, we each choose either non-alcoholic sparkling wine or beer and raise a toast.

I happened to glance down and saw the hand towel that had been prepared for me, and thought, "Oh, is this a Porsche Center?" (lol) → Because the same hand towels are often used at Porsche Centers.

We had a set course for lunch that day.

Both the sweet potato soup and the sea bream were absolutely delicious.

The chef is from Ginza Ukai-tei, and has now opened his own restaurant here in Utsunomiya City, which seems to be incredibly popular every day. If you're interested, why not make a reservation early and give it a try?

For now, I'll just post a picture of the main course, the rump steak (beef), which was absolutely delicious.

Let's cook this slowly.

We were full, with only dessert left... when one person had to leave due to an errand.

However, since we hadn't anticipated anyone leaving midway through (we had a longer meal than planned, so we ran out of time and had to leave), we hadn't considered letting one person's car move, and as a result, the car of the person who left was parked at the very back.

So, despite being a group of women who are clearly not good at this kind of thing, they moved the cars around the premises like a puzzle and rescued one of them (?).

We also did a Porsche puzzle along the way, and then we enjoyed a leisurely dessert before leaving Iwasaki-tei.

It was truly delicious, and I had a wonderful time. A huge thank you to Iwasaki-tei and to the person who made the reservation. Thank you so much!

Lunch is over, and you might think it's time to wrap things up... but that's not how it goes at a Porsche girls' get-together.

We're now moving on to the next location.

Looking at it this way, the fact that there are so many red Porsches makes it seem like a gathering of women ^^

Take home some of the sweetest and most delicious strawberries from the strawberry farm as a souvenir.

We arrived at a strawberry farm!

Since I'm in Tochigi Prefecture right in March, which is strawberry season, it would be a shame not to buy (and eat) some strawberries!

Some of you with a keen eye might have noticed something odd about the shopping at the first rest stop in Mibu: "Why aren't there any strawberries? In March in Tochigi!" Or maybe not (lol).

But this is the reason why I deliberately resisted the urge to buy strawberries at the rest stop.

The organizers also took requests in advance and made reservations, and here are the strawberries that the Porsche ladies purchased on the day ↓

These strawberries were sooooo delicious!

When I got home and served it to my kids, they exclaimed, "What is this? It's so delicious!" and it was gone in no time.

You don't need condensed milk at all. It was so delicious that I was surprised by its sweetness even without adding anything.

After enjoying some delicious strawberries and purchasing some souvenirs, our mini-Porsche girls' get-together finally came to an end.

They each run in the direction they want to go home.

As I watched the Porsches in front and behind me until they were finally torn apart, I thought to myself, "This is so wonderful!"

Before we disbanded, one of the women with a Porsche handed out Chupa Chups lollipops to everyone, and I was really touched by this kind of thoughtfulness, which is typical of women.

After this, the highway became incredibly congested, but this Chupa Chups helped distract me and saved me from the traffic jam.

Spending time with all the Porsche ladies like this, I'm always impressed and touched by the thoughtful details and considerations that only women can show in various situations.

I'm always so lazy, sorry about that (lol).

I'm sure the convertible was in a good mood that day, as it was the first time in a while that everyone got to see it and drive it around with us.
