Porsche playing in the snow and ice made with 911 ice cube trays

The day when snow piled up in the city

On February 15th, 2026, the temperature in Tokyo rose to around 19 degrees, making it a very warm and pleasant day. However, about a week prior, on February 8th, a surprising snowfall occurred, and for the first time in a long time, Tokyo was completely covered in white.

Even just getting a little way from the city center in the early morning was already completely white.

Since we had just driven on ice in January, we had changed our BMW to winter tires, so we were able to drive in our BMW on this day as well, which was a relief.

The cars I encountered in Tokyo that day had quite a bit of snow piled up on them (for Tokyo), and it was quite a strange sight to be driving through the snow with those cars.

I want to play with my Porsche in the snow

Well, it snowed in Tokyo that day.

I go out in my car to run some errands, and then as I head home I start to feel more and more restless.

"Since there's so much snow, I want to play in it a bit."

Yes, that's what I thought, but as soon as I got home, I brought outThe Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS miniature car I bought the other day..

Whispering.

Targa 4 GTS in the snow.

There was one more thing I wanted to try,The Porsche 911 shaped ice cube tray I bought the other day.Try using it.

I tried packing the snow in tightly.

The one on the left is the 991 model, and the one on the right is the newly purchased 992 model. Hmm, the finished product is... a bit iffy (lol).

While I was enjoying myself (?), thinking, "This doesn't look very good, and I can't make it well," my husband brought the coffee from the mug out of the room and said, "Well, since you're here, why don't you take a picture of this Porsche mug as well?"

What is this (lol)?

Since I made a snow model of Porsche next to the Porsche, all that's left isThe duck maker I bought previouslyI also made a duck for the first time in a while.

So cute!!

When placed on the snow, the snow-made Porsches look like miniature cars and are cute, the ducks are just as cute as ever, and the GTS is just plain too cute!

When I was excited, my husband quietly brought out the mug again, so I took a picture of the mug (Porsche 70th anniversary) together.

What a strange couple...

However, if I had been alone, I think I would have received some really strange looks from parents and children playing in the snow a little distance away, so I'm grateful to my husband for joining me in our questionable snow play.

What's more, after this, they each went to vote in the election while still holding the toy car and mug, making them a truly strange couple (lol).

Make ice using a Porsche 911 ice cube tray

After making snow shapes using a 911-type ice cube tray, we first washed it thoroughly (Note: The snow we put in the ice cube tray was fresh, clean snow that had not been touched by anyone and was placed in only one place on the handrail).

Then, thinking "Since I've already taken the trouble to get the tray out," I decided to try making some ice. It would have been better if I'd used chocolate or something, but being lazy, I thought, "Well, this is an ice cube tray," so I started with the ice.

When I looked at it after a day, it looked like 911-shaped ice had formed.

This is exciting.

If I can make a super cute Porsche 911 ice cream, I might want to use this to make ice cream all the time from now on, I thought to myself as I took out the ice right away.

What?

Ah, well, the 991 model in front has clearly visible tires and faint lines on the doors and rear, so I guess it's clear that it's a Porsche 911, so I'll call it good.

So, um, well, who are you (lol)?

No, of course it has the shape of a 911, and it's just a little flatter than the 991 (As you can see by comparing it with a Porsche keyThese ice cubes also look exactly like the difference between the 991 and 992 Porsche keys, so you can tell they're Porsches, but, well, it's a bit tricky (lol)?

Even when viewed from the rear, the 991's design details are clearly visible even on ice.

The 992 has a "massive silhouette like a 911" that resembles a paperweight.

For now, I'm satisfied that I now know how ice is made, so now I'd like to try using the ice I've made.

I'll try putting it in a Cornes glass that my kids have been using lately.

I don't remember how many I put in, but I randomly put in 991s and 992s.

Hmm, I can see that the 911s have been haphazardly thrown in somehow.

If you pour some liquid into this, wouldn't it be great if the silhouette of the 911 appeared in the drink?

It might have been better to use something colored like coffee or tea, but I didn't have time so I started with water.

Huh?

Ah, as I thought, ice made from water in water doesn't look like ice...it loses its shape quickly...

What is this (lol)?

Ah, sorry for saying such silly things again (lol).

After all, it seems like this ice cube tray is better for making chocolate or butter like the butter served at PEC Tokyo rather than making real ice.

That's it, what happens when you make ice using a not-so-useful 911 ice cube tray?
