Going to Daikoku every night with Carrera T

A meeting to ride the Carrera T

On this day, three Porsches gathered at night.

It was dark so I couldn't take a proper photo, but the three cars are a Taycan Cross Turismo, a GT3 Touring Package, and a Carrera T.

I have poor eyesight and feel anxious about driving after dark, so I try to only drive as much as necessary at night.

However, on this day, I was asked to drive the Carrera T, so someone else drove the Carrera T, so I was able to go out every night ^^

The place I went to was Daikoku PA.

Again, I rarely go to PAs like Daikoku, so this was probably my first time going to Daikoku on a weekend night.

There were amazing people and amazing cars, there were many foreigners, and on weekend nights there seemed to be a lot of Japanese cars.

There were so many people there, and I was so excited that I felt like a tourist, thinking, "This is Daikoku! Oh, this is Korega Japanese Daikoku!"

We had different people drive us from Tokyo to Daikoku and from Daikoku to Tokyo, and we were very happy to hear that both of them praised the Carrera T ^^

Every time someone would say good things about it, like how easy it is to drive and how good the sound is, I couldn't help but keep saying, ``I see, I guess so!'' (lol).

Carrera T's auto blipping is the best

Let's go back to the previous story, but I had someone else drive the Carrera T for a while.

At that time, the person said to me, ``Auto blipping is the best.''

At that time, I had not yet tried Carrera T's autoblip, so I said, "Oh, really? I haven't tried it yet, so I'll try it next time!" and later tried my first autoblip. I was trying it out.

When I started driving on the expressway heading to Gunma Prefecture, I suddenly remembered and thought, ``Oh, let's turn on autoblip'' and started trying it out.

Then I tried downshifting while driving at high speed...and boom! ! There was a nice sound and there was no shift shock at all, and the Carrera T continued to downshift and drive as if nothing had happened.

I thought, ``Huh, this is a bit interesting,'' and when I started shifting down and slowing down before the toll gate on the way, I heard ``Boom, boom!'' and the engine speed matched perfectly, and I thought, ``Oh, this car is... It's a beautiful sequence that makes you think, ``Is this PDK?'' It's extremely fun.

However, the problem is that the autoblip function is so smart that when I drive for a long time with autoblip ON, the Porsche shifts so beautifully that I find it becomes quite sloppy to operate it myself. After that, I forgot that the auto blip was turned off, and if I drove as usual, I would get a shift shock when downshifting and think, ``Ah, my driving is so bad!'' (lol).

Therefore, I now enjoy driving without autoblip so that I can operate the manual transmission properly and carefully on down roads, and turning on autoblip and shifting on high speeds.

Carrera T is 7-speed MT

He said, ``Please try autoblipping!'' and asked him to try autoblipping on the Carrera T.Also, since it was a 7-speed manual transmission, he asked me to shift into 7th gear, and he said, ``It's not difficult to downshift from there. Is that so?” (laughs).

What I mean by difficult is that, for example, in order to shift into 7th gear, you must first shift into 5th or 6th gear before you can shift into 7th gear. Even from 7th gear, it goes into 3rd gear all at once, so it's a bit frustrating until you get used to it.

You'll definitely end up doing this several times at first, like shifting from 7th gear to 4th gear when you intended to shift it to 6th gear (I think...).

It was a very fun night as we talked about various things and tried out the Carrera T.

On this day, we chatted on the spot when we first got together in Tokyo, chatted on the spot after moving to Daikoku, and even chatted again when we returned to Tokyo (lol).

In the middle of the conversation, we started talking about ``shall we go home soon?'' and then the next topic came up again...and in the end, it was past midnight when we broke up. ?

It was such a fun time that I thought we could have continued talking if it wasn't for the late night and I started to feel sleepy ^^

It was great to be able to experience Daikoku on weekend nights.

The Carrera T was definitely the best (I say so myself ← And I didn't drive it (lol)).
