Participated in Masami Meeting, a driving school hosted by Masami Kageyama

Posted date: June 24, 2023 Updated date:

The instructors for the day were Masami Kageyama and Katsumasa Chiyo.

First of all, going back to a long time ago, Masami Kageyama was one of the instructors when I participated in the performance class of Porsche Truck Experience (PTX), a Porsche driving lesson in 2021.

At that time, I still had a lot to do with the 911, but at this time, Mr. Kageyama told me, ``The slalom is all open with the accelerator! I had the experience that I was able to overcome the place where I was strangely flinching.

In addition to that, I was able to experience the passenger seat (type 992) where Mr. Kageyama drove the Sodegaura Forest Raceway where the PTX was held at that time, and the experience at that time was really moving. .

The experience that Mr. Kageyama gave me is the most impressive at the moment. I was surprised, and Mr. Kageyama used his whole body to step on the accelerator and brake, or rather, "Eh, that much?" I was really moved by seeing this world and experiencing it first-hand.

The experience at PTX at that time was very big for me, and I was very happy that she pushed me to say, "I can do it, it's okay," regardless of whether I'm a woman or not. Then, the enthusiasm that made me think, "I'm sure I can do it."

Then I learned that Mr. Kageyama is running a driving school.Masami Meeting".

I wanted to participate as soon as possible after the PTX, but unfortunately, the corona was still in a difficult time at that time, so the official website of the Masami meeting had not been updated, so I decided to participate. As far as I can confirm, I couldn't apply (wasn't it held?).

Then wait a few years.

Will lessons be resumed soon? That's what I thought, so I took a look at the official website... Ah! Are doing! !

It is said that it will be held three times in 2023, and I recently discovered that there was a lesson at the Tsukuba Circuit, so I applied with the feeling that I could finally go!

I also want my husband to experience the teachings and running of Mr. Kageyama by all means, so I invited my husband to "Let's go ~" and joined the couple ^ ^

My husband is a Fairlady Z (Z34) and I am a black Carrera (991.2 base model).

Lectures that are rich in content and generous in content

The program at Tsukuba Circuit consisted of class lectures and gymkhana training in the morning, followed by track driving at the TC1000 in the afternoon.

First of all, it started with a lecture, but this lecture is amazing.

It was very easy to understand, and he carefully taught me what was important and what I should do.

Previously, when I was allowed to participate in Sunako Juku's limited program for rear-engined vehicles, Mr. Mitsuhiro Kinoshita spoke with great passion, and I was deeply moved. Mr. Kageyama talked passionately about the same part that was being talked about passionately.

On top of the impression and understanding that ``It's amazing, you're teaching me the same thing (= that's important)'', there are still some subtle differences in the teachings of Kageyama-san and Kinoshita-san, and that's what each of them says. I see," and it was something I could understand, and I learned a lot.

It's too luxurious to have a professional driver teach me so much in such a detailed and polite way.

First of all, through a lot of lectures, you should understand the “level of understanding” of various things, and with that, “what should I try to achieve today and what should I do?” Then practice.

First of all, it was an oval lesson at the gymkhana field, but there was no watering at the Masami meeting.

Therefore, until now, I had only experienced oval with water sprinkled on it, so if I go in and say "brake!" I even laughed at myself.

It's a result that you can see that you're driving without thinking about the road surface conditions at all ... but by actually doing that, I was able to realize that the behavior of the car is so different in the wet and dry. It was refreshing to have a lesson on a dry road surface.

The practice in the morning was shorter than Sunako Juku (Sago Juku is a club activity (lol)), and I thought, "Is this the end?" I felt like I was more tired than usual because I felt like I was doing it ^ ^

…Is it just me getting old that I'm tired? I don't know (laughs).

Next is lunch. Quite a volume.

And on this day, there was one big mistake for me. Failure or failure. reflection point.

That is, "I knew I was going to run the TC1000 on this day, but I didn't prepare anything about the TC1000."

This is another great point to reflect on. Even though it was one of the few days where I could run.

Black Carrera and the new Z!

After lunch, we moved to the TC1000, and this time we actually rode the TC1000. is.

So, while having lunch in a hurry, I looked at the TC1000 course (that's the first course map I've ever seen!) and worked hard to memorize the course.

Although I learned the course, I didn't understand how to run, so I'm really regretting it (I don't understand it to some extent in advance, so I can't respond immediately on the spot).

Ah, there aren't many opportunities to practice like this in a car anymore, so I have to cherish each and every time, but it's a big regret that I haven't learned anything about the course I'm running from now on.

When I arrived at TC1000 while reflecting on that, Kirin was there, so I was healed a little ^ ^

First TC1000 driving experience

After moving to TC1000, I participated in the afternoon lesson that started with classroom lectures again.

On this day, Mr. Katsumasa Chiyo was another instructor besides Mr. Kageyama.

Chiyo-san is the S-Tai No. 22 car that I support.EBI Team WaimaramaI am also a driver of DDR, and I have a chance to meet him at DDR, so I feel a sense of closeness to him. It was one of the things I was looking forward to.

When it came time to run, I was allowed to use the pit, so as a novice like myself, just the experience of putting my car in the pit and entering the circuit from there was already an exciting experience (laughs).

Even though I have just learned the course of the TC1000, I can't stop being excited to run it now.

So, conclusion.

I tried driving the TC1000...or rather, I was already wowed at the first corner.

Because of the previous problem of remembering the course, the tires were too slippery. Oh.

I knew that the rear tire was getting slippery, but at the end of the training, I was stingy enough to use up the tires and then change to new tires. Because tires are expensive...

Then it's too slippery to run the TC1000, it's scary.

It feels like it slides around every corner.

Then why don't you slide it in the corner and turn it? Some people may think that, but I don't have that kind of skill.

When I went to see Chiyo-san after finishing the run, she was watching me from above and the first thing she said to me was, ``Didn't you slip a lot?'' Ta.

I was too stingy. I regret this again. I should have run with better tires. Opportunity lost. On the contrary, it was a waste.

In fact, there was a time when Mr. Kageyama drove my car and drove the TC1000 together. Rear tire) It's pretty good, hahaha (laughs)" (laughs).

So, I am sorry if I do something wrong and cause an accident and cause trouble to other people. rice field.

Even so, when I ran for some reason, I found myself breathing heavily, and I felt more tense than usual and exhausted.

Those of you who have taken driving lessons with me in the past may know that I don't want to waste even a minute or a second, so I spend most of my time driving.

I don't take breaks or anything like that.

But in the TC1000 that day, it was clear that after a few laps the tires would start to wear out, and so did I (laughs), so I couldn't make the most of the time and ended up going out.

This time's TC1000 run was a run where I had to reflect on my preparations, but it was still a really fun day.

As a numerical result, the time on this day, which was my first time running the Tsukuba Circuit TC1000, was "46.441』.

Uuu. I'm sorry (tears) for the black Carrera (991.2 base model / without Spokuro). (It's also frustrating because my husband was by far the fastest (laughs)).

By the way, the other Porsches who came on this day were very fast, and it was so cool to see them running in front of me like bullets! !

Of course, all the other cars are cool, but I like Porsche, so I just got my eyes on Porsche ^ ^

And even though it's the same car, the professional drivers who can drive it so wonderfully that when you get in it, you'll think, "This is a completely different car, isn't it?"

I can also be a pervert, secretly staring at Kageyama-san and Chiyo-san conversing from inside the train during waiting time (me) ^^

At the end (I didn't enter), we took a group photo with the cars.

Anyway, this time, I reflected on two things: ``I didn't come here after understanding the course properly'' and ``The tire condition was too bad'', and I vowed in my heart that someday I'll be able to drive the TC1000 again.

In this way, I think I've grown to think that I want to run in a state where I have no excuses even a little ^^

I feel like the non-slip sheet that I put under my buttocks when I run sports has worn out after using it a few times, so I'd like to buy a new one without being stingy (this is a 100-yen product).

I would like to learn the course well next time and come back to run with proper tires. It would be a little embarrassing if the times were still the same though~ (laughs).

But anyway, I definitely want to run the TC1000 again, so I will definitely come back someday! !

By the way, I had a lot of muscle pain the next day because I was running with a lot of pressure.

Kageyama-san and Chiyo-san taught me many things throughout the day, and I am truly very grateful. Not only did I learn a lot, but I also had a great time.

Also, I was very impressed with the support of all the staff, who were all very kind and helpful.

Kageyama-san, Chiyo-san, the management staff, and all the participants who were with us, thank you very much ^^

One last.

After everything was over and before leaving the Tsukuba Circuit to go home, I went to the restroom and found a swallow's nest above the entrance to the men's restroom.

So when I was filming, several men saw me filming and said, "Is there something wrong?"

I'm glad that Tsubame was there, but at the very end, I ended up looking like a pervert taking a voyeur at the entrance of the men's restroom (laughs).

*It's really close to the entrance so anyone can see it, so it's not like I've entered the restroom, just in case ^^

It was fun. I would like to participate again when the schedule fits ^ ^

What I think after running a lot in this way is that I really love black Carrera.

It's fun and fun to be able to understand Black Carrera in my own way, even if it's just a little bit each time.

I am really happy to meet a black Carrera in Porsche 911.
