Now. On the day of the rally, participants will be on Saturday, June 2, 2018, between 7:00 am and 7:45 amDaikanyama T-SiteIt is a set. Daikanyama T-Site contains Tsutaya, etc.A very famous site for car loversis. I think that Porsche also had some kind of commitment to the starting point here.
On the morning of the rally, the biggest problem was "what time do you go to the site?" I was supposed to get the number of the car in the order of arrival at the site. It's a little embarrassing if you're enthusiastic and go too fast and no one is there ^^, but if you aim for exactly 7 o'clock, 80 other participants will rush in and it will be a big traffic jam in front of the parking lot. , It may be very far behind.
By the way, the parking lot of T-Site itself opens at 6:30 in the morning, so it seems that the cars started to gather around 6:30 in the morning. As a reference for the future, those who came with "No. 1 aim" because they really wanted to get "No. 1" and got "No. 1" properly, T at about 5:45 in the morning. -Site It seems that you arrived in front of the parking lot. Next, if there is the same event again, I feel that everyone will be there sooner ...
After that, the cars started to gather smoothly, and it seemed that almost all the cars were settled in the T-Site parking lot around 8 o'clock, about 1 hour after the meeting time starting at 7 o'clock.
When you enter T-Site and park your car in the guided parking lot, you will first head to the tent operated by getting a name tag that you can hang from your neck.
The name tags that participants can get are not the same as just saying "Porsche Rally", but the particular "name of each participant, photo of each participant's car, model year and model name" It was very original and exclusive as described. This alone raises the tension.
Also, at this place, we will check the vehicle check sheet that was distributed at the briefing session in advance and the driver's license of the driver (both co-driver and co-driver if driving). Once you've confirmed everything, you're ready to go.
For a little light meal in the morning, sweets such as financiers, Starbucks coffee were prepared, and we also got souvenirs. It seems that there are various souvenirs to be received in the rally from now on, so is it a simple knapsack to put them in? Two. Was there anything else in it? I'm sorry, I didn't see it properly (laughs). ← After that, I got some souvenirs, so I didn't know which one was the first one.
And what surprised me was the Bang & Olufsen P2 speakers! This may be a little nice.
When all receptions are OK, you will receive 3 round number stickers with a number to attach to your car. Attach one to the front and two to the left and right doors.
You can paste it in any position as long as it is within the three locations. Cars with Martini racing design had stickers on the sides to avoid the design, but if not, I think most people put them in the middle. By the way, if you want to avoid the design of your car and change the shape of the sticker, the management will cut the sticker a little.
After deciding where to put the sticker, call the Porsche operator and a glass cleaner will wipe the surface of the part where the sticker will be put. I'm going to put a sticker on it myself ...I just had a glass coating the other dayI was a little nervous and asked, "Ah, is it okay to wipe it with a glass cleaner?", But it seems to be okay.
For the high-class people, the sales staff came along and did everything from sticker sticking. As expected ...
However, as it was said in advance that you should enjoy the work of sticking this sticker at the briefing session, it was a lot of fun to stick the sticker yourself.
After sticking the stickers, there was time until the first greetings and other meetings started, so I enjoyed watching the many Porsche people gathered around me.
The number of recruitment participants announced in advance this time was limited to 70 911 (air-cooled or water-cooled), but in the end 80 entrants will participate, and Porsche's management side Including the 911s, the total number of Porsche 911s that participated in this rally was "91" (good number!).
There are 91 Porsche 911s in the not-so-large parking lot of Daikanyama T-Site. It is a masterpiece. All the cars are so cute and lovely, and the tension rises from the beginning of the morning. I feel sleepy at the time of departure ^^. Even when I talked to other entrants, just before departure, they said, "I'm kind of sleepy," "Yes, I want to sleep," "Is that right? I'm sleepy!" Entrants without a sense of tension ... (laughs).
In addition, "356", which was registered as Porsche's first chassis registered car on June 8, 1948, was also exhibited.
I think it was the movie Kid that I saw 356 for the first time. At that time, I liked cars, but I didn't say Porsche Porsche yet, so I didn't know anything about classic cars in particular.
Meanwhile, I remember seeing the 356 that came out in the kid and being impressed with "what a cute car!" It is the departure that such 356 is in front of me.
Finally, all the entrants finished putting stickers in the parking lot, and when they were ready to leave, they all gathered in front of the tent. We will start after a greeting from President Fujita of Excellence International Co., Ltd.
In the Daikanyama area, which is the starting point, 91 911 engines cannot be started at once due to noise regulations. Therefore, in the order of departure, please start the engines one by one after being instructed.
The person in charge of giving the instruction "Please start the engine" was the Porsche Center I know, so I was very happy to be able to "I'm coming"! He sent me with a very nice smile.
When you go to the departure gate, the car sticker number and name will be read aloud and you will start. Is there a tremendous number of reporters going through the gate? Is it an ordinary person? I don't know, but I was surprised that people with amazing cameras were waiting for me. The first car departed from Daikanyama T-Site at about 8:30 in the morning.
Even though I was a participant, I was enjoying myself with the support crest flag. But I got this flag and it was a great answer. On the way, when people along the road are waving flags, you can also look back, and when 911 comrades of entrants pass each other, or when they pass each other (not competing, by chance due to road conditions), etc. I was able to do it (because everyone shook hands and communicated when they passed each other), so it was good to get it ^ ^
It's been a long time, so I'll talk about running from the start again next time!
