Porsche Macan S Assistance Service
The other day, Porsche wrote that he rented a Macan S and ran on a 800km round-trip day drive trip from Tokyo to Ishinomaki.
At that time, it was my first Macan S drive, so I would like to try various things that I can try ... I tried using some of the assistance services that were attached to the rented car!
… Well, for the past few days, this blog has become like a “Porsche SUV blog” (laughs). I'm sorry, I'm interested in it now, so please keep in touch with me a little more ^^
Porsche Macan: Lane Keep Assist
First of allLane Keeping AssistThere was something like a button, so I pressed it.
Lane Keep Assist monitors the lane on the road, emits an alert (warning sound) when the car goes out of the lane, gives a small vibration to the steering wheel, and automatically steers the car in the lane. Return to ...
When I actually used it, I dared to approach the lane when there was no other car ...
Oh, really! !! There is a somewhat unpleasant sound like "bububububu" (laughs).
This unpleasant noise is heard when you are about to go out of the lane, so when you unknowingly go out of the lane, you might notice something like "What? Oh, it was dangerous!".
However, in this car, did you not return to the lane by vibrating the steering wheel or automatically operating the steering wheel? ??
I wonder if the option level is different even in the same lane keep assist ...? ?? picture? Didn't you notice that I was too insensitive to vibrate or was automatically operated (laughs)? !!
★ Addition ★ (2019.4.15)
It turned out that it was not "Lane Keep Assist" but "Lane Departure Warning" that came as standard because it was a rental car. This lane departure warning is that the system alerts you with an alert when it determines that the vehicle may deviate from the lane. This was the only function, so in this car, there was no automatic operation of the steering wheel ^ ^
Porsche Hill Control (PHC)
Next, I tried this "Porsche Hill Control (PHC)"is.
The button I see for the first time!
Yes, and I've already decided where to use this hill control. That is this slope ↓
As the locals know, this is the slope leading to Hiyoriyama Park in Ishinomaki.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, my husband went to Ishinomaki every month for a long time, hoping that something would be useful, so my husband has become familiar with Ishinomaki so much, so this slope has already been done before. I had tried it with a hill control (called hill descent control / HDC in BMW) on a BMW (X1).
This time, I would like to get off while using Porsche Macan's hill control because it is a big deal!
Well, after climbing the slope once, on the way back, just before the downhill slope becomes steep, turn on this Porsche Hill control button.
I never thought that would be the day to press such a button.
If you push it ... Oh, the display has changed! !! !!
At this time, the speed of the car is 14 km. However, when I pressed the button, hill control started and "the speed of going down the slope was fixed at 13 km / h" (yellow circle). ↓
As a result ... Even on a steep slope, the car did not accelerate to roll down, and even if humans did not control it, Macan kept 13 km / h and went down the slope. bottom.
Hey ~. interesting!
Slope slope 30%!
After going down this slope and running for a while, I suddenly shouted "Oh !!!!". To the family who hurriedly asks "What happened?" ...
"While climbing up and down such a great slope, I forgot to measure the" slope angle "of that slope !! What I did!"
When. Yes, the words from my calm husband are "Oh,I'm a tilt maniac"... And keep calm. Stop it (laughs).
However, after being told that, he told me, "The slope of that slope is 30%. Because it was displayed." Oh, it was displayed, that's right, if it's such a steep slope. Even so, the 30% is pretty amazing!
So, this time Porsche Hill control by Macan S is tried with a slope of 30% @ 13 km / h.
By the way, you can see the city of Ishinomaki from Hiwayama Park on the slope.
When we went here on Macan Drive, it was just eight years since the Great East Japan Earthquake, and now it's a vacant lot as far as we can see what happened to the children around here. In the place, there were many houses before the earthquake (photos of that time are also exhibited locally), and there is actually a display like "The tsunami has come so far" in the town ... etc. We had them see and we all had various thoughts.
Now, I realize once again how precious it is to be able to have fun with my family and go to Ishinomaki, and to spend such ordinary days, and I am truly grateful for various things. ..
By the way, and thank you very much to Macan! It was a very comfortable drive trip.
Also, I would like to drive Macan ^ ^!
