The beautiful view of Porsche Studio Nihonbashi at the Sanno Festival

Posted: Posted:

On June 13, 2026, I took a stroll around Ginza.

I happened to pass by NISSAN CROSSING and casually glanced inside from the outside, wondering "What cars are on display now?", when I was surprised to see a Ferrari Luce!

No, the colors were just like that, so I was just misreading it (lol).

Putting that aside, after strolling around Ginza, we headed towards Nihonbashi.

The Nihonbashi area was absolutely filled with a festive atmosphere on this day. This is what it looked like inside Nihonbashi Takashimaya department store.

And throughout the town, the sounds of festival music and the clapping of hands as the portable shrines were lowered echoed from the sake-serving stations of each neighborhood association.

The Sanno Festival of Hie Shrine, which has been held since the Edo period, took place over several days, including this past weekend (with the main event on June 14th).

I was strolling around Nihonbashi, enjoying the festive atmosphere, when suddenly I thought...

"Come to think of it, Porsche Studio Nihonbashi also participated in the festival."

I remembered that, and although it was already past closing time for the day, I thought, "It's during the festival, so it might still be open," and decided to stop by.

And just as I suspected!

It appeared that Porsche Studio Nihonbashi had opened its doors to the public for the festival.

Of course, the staff members were also fully involved in the festival, and I was deeply moved by their deep connection to the local community and their respect for Japanese culture as they participated in this traditional Japanese festival.

Incidentally, the local guardian deity of the neighborhood where Porsche Studio Nihonbashi is located is Kanda Myojin, so Porsche Studio Nihonbashi participates in the Kanda Festival as a parishioner.

However, the Nihonbashi area has a long history of deep ties with the Sanno Festival, and many neighborhood associations and businesses participate in the festival regardless of whether they are within the shrine's parish or not.

Even in front of a Porsche dealership, a German car manufacturer, a sacred sake offering stand is set up like this, and combined with the lights of the Porsche Studio Nihonbashi store, it creates a truly wonderful scene of cultural fusion.

Looking at the votive tablets in this area...

The name of Porsche Studio Nihonbashi is also among the votive plaques. Wonderful.

As someone who loves Porsches and also cherishes the traditional culture of Japan, including its long-standing festivals passed down through generations, I was deeply moved to see the Porsche dealership actively participating in and supporting the Sanno Festival (or Kanda Festival, depending on the occasion).

The Sanno Festival evokes nostalgic memories for me, as I remember being allowed to pull the children's floats when I was little, and I enjoyed a pleasant evening at the cool Nihonbashi festival.

Furthermore, witnessing Porsche Studio Nihonbashi's commitment to valuing local culture further deepened my appreciation for the Porsche brand.

The main Sanno Festival is held every two years, so the next one will probably be in 2028. It might be a nice idea to go and see Porsche Studio Nihonbashi amidst the festival atmosphere then.
