Macan Turbo EV and Taycan Turbo GT images
I watched a short video featuring DJ and producer David Guetta, which was released on March 25, 2025.
This video was produced by Porsche Middle East and Africa.
David has won two Grammy Awards, had numerous global number one hits, been streamed over 40 billion times worldwide, and sold 50 million records.
The video is a popular introduction to two cars, the Macan Turbo EV and the Taycan Turbo GT, and it looks incredibly cool thanks to the remix of David's song "Titanium."
The footage was apparently shot at Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, located in the vast desert south of Dubai. Having never even heard of the place before, I was surprised and asked, "Wait, is this not a CG set, but an actual place like this?"
This solar park is the world's largest single-site solar power plant (its area is said to be the size of two Manhattan Islands), producing sustainable, clean energy. It's the perfect place to film a promotional video for Porsche's electric car.
During the fourth phase of construction, 70,000 mirrors were installed in this solar park. Unlike solar panels, these are concentrating mirrors that track the movement of the sun and adjust their angle to concentrate sunlight on a single point (the top of the central tower).
The shoot took place over several days and included a DJ set on a balcony just below the top of the tower and laser lights illuminating the cars.
The Porsches are really cool, and most importantly, the solar power generation facility in Dubai is on a completely different scale and is amazing, so this is a short film that you should definitely see.

It was a video that made me want to watch it on a big screen, with Porsche's fully electric Macan and Taycan performing with laser effects and music at Dubai's magnificent solar park.
