◆ Camper experience part 2: ② Touring limestone caves in Iwate Prefecture
Well, where were you the next morning?
The next morning I returned to Tochigi prefecture. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom-it's very beautiful during the snowstorm.
Strawberry picking in Utsunomiya
The destination for the next morning is here.
The main event of the day was strawberry picking.
When I asked the children "What do you want to do on this trip?" Before leaving for the trip, they said "Strawberry hunting!".
This time I went during the spring break, so I made a reservation in advance for this strawberry picking only. Surprisingly, it was full of reservations, so I thought it would be bad if the children couldn't do what they were most looking forward to.
There was also a measure against corona, and the strawberry picked in the greenhouse was eaten on the outside table, but it was delicious with these strawberries.
For children who love condensed milk, I bought 3 bottles of My condensed milk and brought them with me (laughs), but I almost never used them and said "sweet!" And ate them. The best ~.
Otani Quarry
Next is another unplanned trip explosion here.
I had some time to spare, so I searched for a place where I could go on the spot.
This is the correct answer. The place I went to was the Oya Quarry (Oya Museum) in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, but from the moment I entered, it was a series of "amazing!"
Because the world that spreads in front of you is completely Dragon Quest.
A scene that seems to be a dungeon spreads out in front of you.
"Well, who should I talk to next?" "Where is the treasure chest?"
Utsunomiya City is relatively close to Tokyo, so I think it would be fun to stop by if you have something to do with it.
It was used for shooting movies and dramas, and it seemed that this place was rented out for holding events, so how about Porsche someday at a car unveiling in this mysterious underground space? Who are you talking to ^^
This time we were mainly traveling to the limestone cave, but since we were able to dive to the ground in this way at the end, we were very satisfied with the connection of "going underground".
Anyway, when traveling in a camper, there is almost no time limit for people to be tied up, and you can move as you like when you want, and during that travel time, children can relax and enjoy playing in a spacious space. It is the best to be able to.
And since you can run long distances without worrying about where to sleep or how long you travel using public transportation, it's great to be able to travel far away from Tokyo.
Wherever you go, there are many natural scenery that you can't see in the city center, and the sights that wash your heart often spread out in front of you.
Considering this, I thought that those who live in big cities such as Tokyo and Osaka would be able to enjoy traveling by camper van more.
Dumplings at Utsunomiya
The last stop was this dumpling shop.
After all, if you were in Utsunomiya, you would say, "I have to eat dumplings!" ^^? Can't you? This is my first experience with Utsunomiya dumplings. happy.
I was very happy to have plenty of grilled dumplings, fried dumplings, and water dumplings.
To my surprise, the dumpling shops in Utsunomiya are waiting in line at every shop. I'm glad I got a glimpse of the true dumpling love (?) ^^
1,446km journey in 45 hours
It was a camper trip for my family that I suddenly planned again, but this time it was "45 hours" from the time I rented the camper to the time I returned it.
And, in that 45 hours, the mileage that went around Tokyo → Iwate → Yamagata → Tochigi → Tokyo was "1,446km".
I think that running 1,446km in 45 hours with a cabcon that couldn't speed at all seemed to have continued running for quite some time.
But it was fun ~.
Measures to prevent rolling of the cabcon
Oh yeah, and one last thing.
After the previous cabcon experience and this cabcon experience, there is one "master of cabcon driving" in me!
That is "measures to prevent rolling when a large truck passes next to it."
It's a simple story, but when I'm driving in the left lane at high speed, I sometimes get overtaken by a huge truck or a large bus from the back right.
At that time, if you just drive normally, this cabcon will be blown by the wind, and the steering wheel will be taken and the car body will shake, just as such a large car just pulls out your own car. This is pretty scary.
You can see this by always checking the car coming from behind with the side mirror, and when a large car is about to come, "I'm about to pull out my car", that large car is just in the middle of this cabcon. When you reach, you dare to turn the steering wheel a little to the right first (if it is pulled out from the right side).
Then, contrary to the movement of the wind caused by a large car passing by, I have already turned the steering wheel lightly, and as a result, "the car does not swing sideways"! !!
I was able to drive a large car without being affected by the wind, as if nothing had happened if I could do it at the perfect timing.
This is fun and fun, and every time a large car comes from behind and is pulled out, "Oh, I've done well now" "I should cut it after being pulled out a little more", I enjoyed driving the cabcon alone I was there.
By all means, if you may drive a cabcon, when you are pulled out by a large car, please turn the steering wheel lightly at the moment of being pulled out ^ ^
The route of this trip looks like the following (I entered it at the destination and it does not exactly match the actual driving route).
I want to go on a trip with a camper van again.
Thank you for reading to the end even though 911 and the supercar had nothing to do with this time ^ ^
