The pink pig duck at the Porsche Museum

Posted: Posted:

last month,I went to visit the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as PEC Tokyo).I was writing that.

My friends who are fellow Porsche enthusiasts were participating in a driving program at PEC Tokyo, so I went to visit them and we had lunch together... but actually, on this day...

I simply made it seem like having lunch at PEC Tokyo was the main event, but in reality, I had a much more important "deal" to discuss, and that's why I went to PEC Tokyo.

Fufufufufu.

Yes, it was something that someone I was with quietly handed me, something they had traveled all the way from overseas to acquire.

"The item in question is here."

Swoosh.

I receive it.

"I have received it."

Transaction complete.

It looked like a simple lunch at Restaurant 906 in PEC Tokyo, but in reality, such a shady deal was taking place.

The item I acquired this time from a smuggler (not really, haha) is...

this! !!

This is this.

Isn't it cute??

This is a pink pig duck.

Many of you may remember that Porsche Museum ducks were sold at Porsche Centers in Japan some time ago (and some places may still be selling them).

This photo includes one rather odd duck (the Tutankhamun duck from the British Museum), but the other three ducks were being sold at the Porsche Center ↓

I already had these three ducks and kept them around, but one day I learned that there was another duck with a different design besides these three.

This is the duckling I got this time, number 23, with the pink pig pattern, number 917/20.

I wanted this car, so I had a Porsche Center in Japan check for it, but unfortunately they said it wasn't available in Japan. I then had a Porsche Center in the US check as well, but they said it wasn't available there either.

As a result, it seems that at this point, the only place to buy it officially is at the Porsche Museum shop in Germany.

So, just when I was about to give up, thinking, "Oh, then I probably won't be able to get it for a while," I happened to meet someone at PEC Tokyo who had recently mentioned that she was going to Germany.

That's why I shamelessly asked them to buy me this 917 Pink Pig Duck.

Thank you so much! Thank you very much!

This Pink Pig Duck might eventually be sold in Japan as well, but for now, I just want it, so I'm really happy that it's come to my home.

So, that was an introduction to Pink Pig's Porsche Duck!
