How to reset the tire pressure sensor of Porsche 911

Posted: Posted:

I was angry with Black Carrera

I was surprised. I was angry with Black Carrera from the morning. This is really.

This morning, I was in a good mood again and ran around the city for about 10 minutes in a good mood ... I stopped the car for a while, so I turned off the engine.

Then, when I started running with the engine saying "Well, let's go", a warning was suddenly displayed.

A yellow mark is lit on the left, and a warning content is displayed on the right ↓

I read the displayed content in a hurry, but ... that. The contents are:

"Would you like to replace the wheel? You can choose."

Um ... Is this Japanese (laughs)?

Even so, "Would you like to replace the wheel?" No, it's true that the left and right tires have changed.

For the time being, you can only select "I'll choose" (I'm not sure if this Chinese character is "Yi" or "Nao" is a little different (laughs)), so if you proceed, you'll see something like this ↓

Well, I knew that I couldn't properly monitor the tire pressure.

Certainly, when I wrote a blog saying "I swapped the left and right of the front tires" yesterday, he said, "The air pressure (tire) sensor may give an error, so reset it when it comes out." I was writing that.

However, the strange thing is that the air pressure display was still displayed properly even after the tires were swapped left and right (though it seems that they are displayed properly now).

I was told that I would get an error, so it's okay because I knew it. But why now? !!

Because I swapped the left and right tires last Saturday. And this warning came out on Thursday morning. A warning only after almost 5 days.

Moreover, in the meantime, when I think back, I'm traveling a distance of about 160 kilometers.

Why is it a warning only after running 160 kilometers! !! !!Black Carrera, maybe you're a little insensitive with me ...?

… Yes, this is all I can think of. That's the blog I posted last night.

Just after writing the story of the tire sensor, I wrote that "(for this reason) the black carrera is just forcibly rushed?"

Black Carrera must have come to insist on this "That's right, you're forced to rush!"! Well, I'm a little angry (laughs). sorry.

That's why I reset the tire pressure sensor while saying, "Well, don't get so angry." ← While saying that, in fact, a warning came out, and I was in a hurry again ^ ^

Reset method to learn tire pressure

It seems that it is necessary to reset this tire pressure sensor when changing wheels, so I would like to write a method so as not to forget it.

First, display the tire pressure and select "tire type" from there.

In my case, it's a 19-inch summer tire, so I chose it.

Then, the tire pressure display will look like this.

As shown on the right side, "Measure from 25km / h", if you drive at a speed of 25km / h or more from this state, the tire pressure sensor will relearn after resetting and display the correct air pressure.

Normally, not after a reset, this air pressure will be displayed as soon as the speed reaches 25 km / h or more for the first time, but you have to run for a while after the reset.

If you drive the car after reset and reach a speed of 25 km / h or more, the display will change to "Measurement in progress" and tell you that you are measuring (when you stop at a signal etc., this measurement will stop).

When the measurement was completed, the tire pressure was suddenly displayed.

It took about 15 minutes to finish the measurement after I ran Carrera after resetting the tire pressure sensor.

However, since it takes 15 minutes to catch a slow traffic light in the morning in Tokyo, as you can see, the distance I ran was only 3 km, and the average speed was 11 km / h.

In other words, I think that it was only about 5 minutes that I was able to run at a speed of 25 km / h or more.

In this way, the sensor error after swapping the left and right front tires can be safely reset to the original state, and the air pressure (& air pressure deviation) is displayed.

Taken at "9:11" to commemorate ^^

It was an exquisite time of 9:05 that was just reset, so I thought this must have been because Black Carrera was telling me to shoot at 9:11.

When I write it, I say, "I didn't say that (angry) !!", and I'm going to get angry again and the clock will break tomorrow morning, so I'll stop it (laughs).

I'm sorry Carrera.

It was about how to reset the tire pressure sensor after swapping the left and right tires ^^!
