After finishing the two programs in the morning, I returned to the Crystal Room for lunch.

The seats were free, so I was allowed to visit the vacant place. There are 3 men at the table besides me.

First of all, it's like this for lunch.

In the first greeting, it was said that "this PTX lunch box seems to be quite popular" ^ ^

I had a lot of talks with everyone who was present at lunch time, and this was a lot of fun! !!

Tell me a story of darkness that I don't know (what it is (laughs)), tell me a story about such a driving lesson abroad, and various other stories.

It was a very enjoyable lunch time to talk with everyone. I don't know if you're looking at the blog, but if you can tell me someday ... Thank you to everyone who attended. It was a very fun time ^^

PTX 2021 Master: Ideal Line

The lesson of Group C after lunch is called "Ideal Line". In other words, the ideal line.

Assuming a corner of a racing course, practice to determine the grip limit of your car and go through the corner while preventing unnecessary tail slide when entering the corner and standing up.

In this lesson, there was watering by a sprinkler. Yeah, FSW's light blue sprinkler is here. It's Taiyo Construction Machinery Rental.

The angle of the course (corner) made with cones in this lesson has been adjusted exquisitely, so I had to think about that as well.

Immediately after starting the lesson, I stumbled upon it first, the brakes were too early, the brakes were too late, the line was not taken at all, the accelerator was turned on too early, and so on. By accumulating points, I approached to get the "ideal line" in my own way.

The proper approach to the corner itself is still a long way off, but with regard to "after the corner, the last rise is after straightening the car body", it has become a matter of course for me to some extent. I felt like (I wonder if it's true (laughs)), and I thought this was a very useful practice for me even during the final FSW free run ^^

Again, there was a series of comments from the instructor, "It's perfect!", And I was laughing in the car alone (laughs).

It may be very rude to say that it is cute, but ... The two instructors this time are two to each participant in a friendly atmosphere while Mr. Takagi lovingly knocks down Mr. Koda. In addition to the qualified advice from, when I praised him, I really enjoyed the warm atmosphere, including the comments from Mr. Koda's "I'm perfect" to "Thank you!"

PTX 2021 Master: Control Circle (steady circle)

The last lesson program in Group C is a control circle, that is, a steady circular turn.

When I practiced a while ago because I wanted to drift with Porsche 911Is the so-called "start the drift by stepping on the accelerator".

But this time, in PTX, the usual (?) "Please slide with the accelerator off". You shouldn't step on the accelerator and slide it.

Hmmm, it's coming, it's difficult (for me)!

Still, "Yeah, but I can slide with this accelerator off" beforeSeiji Ara taught me the tricksThere is, so remember it and try it! I was quite motivated.

But.

I was motivated and it was good to park the car in the line to make the steady circle ... No way here.

I was surprised myself, but ah, I was really traumatized.

The moment I parked my car here, the scenery and the situation in front of me instantly matched my memory, and the memory of "that time" came back.

That "time" was November 2020, a year ago.

This is the photo at that time. The composition is the opposite of the one in the photo above, but can you see that it is parked in the same place in the same way?

A year ago, when I started a lesson in a steady circle at the same place and parked the car,At that time, the black carrera brake broke and the brake did not work.It was a.

That moment was really instantly remembered in me, and the scenery at that time completely overlapped with the scenery in front of me.

At that moment, I was afraid to step on the brakes and check.

If I step on the brakes here, it will sink deeply again, so the brakes may not work.

I've never had such a traumatic experience before, so I was surprised myself. At that time, even the mechanic's older brother who came to see the situation of the car seemed to be able to see the sight of him coming with a loaded car.

It may sound exaggerated, but that's how much I was in "this place in 2020" for a moment.

Actually, when I stepped on the brake, it was natural, but it did not sink deeply, and even if I had it repaired after it broke, there was no problem even once, so I believe in black carrera as it is. There is no choice but to proceed.

So ... what happened is, high, this simple me, once I started the car and started running, my heart was completely replaced by the feeling of 100% "I want to slide 911 from the accelerator off", and the brakes work. No worries about disappearing at once.

After all, on this day, after starting the car, I was fascinated by just sliding the 911, and the anxiety disappeared in a blink of an eye.

When I think about it now, in exactly the same situation as a year ago, I thought, "This time it was okay," and I feel like all the feelings I had been worried about somewhere until now have cleared up. To do.

That alone was a training that made me happy to participate in PTX today ^^

Yeah? So what about the stationary circle after all?

I managed to slide the 911 from the accelerator off a little again. But really just a little more.

Lastly, the instructor gave me an evaluation sheet that said, "I'm glad I was able to control drift at the end," so I was happy that I was able to do a little.

This concludes the four contents that were programmed as training.

Next, we will finally run the main course of Fuji Speedway, which is the main event of the day (what?).

At first, each group was further divided into two groups, and the instructors of each group took the lead.

After that, after having a racing taxi experience by the instructor of that group ... It will be a free run of the Fuji Speedway main course by our own car.

For me, who had only been a leader in sports driving until now, I never thought that the day when I would do such a thing for the first time in my life, for the first time in my life, FSW main course free practice & About the first lap time measurement ...
