Porsche applies for patent for butterfly door model design

Its design looks like a 1953 Porsche 550 Coupe

It seems that Porsche submitted a certain "sports car design" to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on February 2, 2021.

The car design submitted by Porsche closely resembles the Le Mans Living Legend, which was invented in 2016 and then first made public by Porsche last November.

This Le Mans Living Legend was inspired by the Porsche 550 Coupe, which competed in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It is a Boxster-based model, a type that opens and closes the front and rear bonnets in opposite directions, and a butterfly door. The refueling port is on the bonnet.

According to Porsche, this Le Mans Living Legend is an "8-cylinder engine with a tremendous sound", so it is speculated that it is probably NA.
