This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the movie "Cars." Was it really a movie from 20 years ago already? ? It certainly was that long ago, but wow, 20 years goes by in the blink of an eye.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Cars, the main characters of the series, Lightning McQueen and Sally Carrera, appeared at Daytona ahead of the recently held Daytona 24 Hours race.
At Daytona theyThis year's Daytona 24 Hours winner, the Porsche Penske Motorsports #7 Porsche 963 LMD race carIt is said to be alongside AO Racing's popular dinosaur 911 GT3 R "Rexy."
By the way, Lightning McQueen is a Piston Cup stock car, so unfortunately it will not be competing in the Daytona 24 Hours (obviously (lol)).
As the photoshoot was focused on the Porsche, Sally was the main focus, overshadowing the main character McQueen.
This Lightning McQueen is probably a mock-up, but the Sally Carrera is a real, drivable Porsche that was built in 2006 for the premiere of the Cars movie, based on the real Porsche 911 (996 model).

Furthermore, in 2022, Porsche will collaborate with Pixar to create a new modern version of Sally based on the 992 911.put up for auctionThat is still fresh in our memories.
This was a rather cute production for the Daytona 24 Hours race, but I'm sure that for the racers who raced at Daytona this time, the collaboration with Cars was a movie that they must have enjoyed and got excited about as children, and it was a fun moment before the race for everyone.
