BMW Story of Luxury: BMW Luxury Class Special Preview
On June 24, 2019, I parked my car in a parking lot somewhere in Tokyo.
Already, McLaren, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and various luxury cars are parked tightly ... There is no end to looking around, so only the two cars that were close to where I parked my car ...
This Porsche 911 was a very nice color. This is Targa.
And Ferrari. Ferrari next to about two of these cars, and Lamborghini beyond that ...
There is really no sharpness! That's why luxury cars are always parked even though this parking lot is rather small! It is "Roppongi Hills P2 parking lot". (Because I'm used to it, I can only stop at P2, so I don't know anything else ...).
It was Grand Hyatt Tokyo that I had a business on that day. Originally, P3 should be better, but P2 is ^^
The purpose of the day is BMW's luxury class special preview. A preview of the just-announced BMW X7, the BMW 760 and BMW 850, and the unveiled M8 that day.
It was like this when I entered the venue. Smoke was still struck by the blue light.
Why do car preview events often want to smoke? Certainly the atmosphere of the venue will be cool, but for me who wants to take beautiful pictures, it is a problem because the pictures will be blurred if there is smoke ~ ^ ^
However, the venue that spreads out in front of me was unified with blue lights and was very beautiful.
Finger food was also prepared, but it was mostly dessert.
This chocolate cake was really delicious ^^ Moreover, if you look closely, it says "7". As expected, a presentation such as X7!
In addition, soft drinks, white and red wines, and many special cocktails were prepared. Women may be happy with this kind of thing ^^ Most of them were non-alcoholic.
To introduce a few, the names and descriptions of each cocktail are:

Bowers & Wilkins is an audio maker with a characteristic diamond tweeter that is also installed in McLaren, and it is one of the things that I have been aiming for my home for a long time ^ ^
It seems that this was an exhibition because it was installed in the new BMW 8 Series.
Now, let's take a look at the cars that were exhibited (announced) on this day.
BMW's highest grade SAV "X7"
The new "X7", which will be the highest-end model of BMW's SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), was announced on this day, shortly before this event. It was quite powerful. Kidney grill is big!
I saw it without any knowledge at all, but it was great!
As expected, the SUV and the height of the car are high, so the view from the driver's seat was good, and I thought, "Oh, I think I can drive."
Suddenly, when I sat in the driver's seat and swung back, there was a back seat ... and two more seats in the back! !!
Yes, this car had three rows of seats. I was surprised! (I'm really sorry without any prior knowledge)
This would be perfect as a family car for a family of five! !! I thought, but it's a little too big to fit in the existing parking lot.
And, when driving, it seems quite so if you "go only forward", but when you look at the back, it seems difficult for me to "back", so it's quite difficult.
By the way, the body size is total length x total width x total height = 5,151 x 2,000 x 1,805 mm, and the wheelbase is 3,105 mm.
The inside of the car is very luxurious, and rather than driving this X7, I wanted to get it in the back seat and move leisurely ^ ^
This car on display was a diesel engine.
Next to the petrol filler, there was also a refill for the vehicle, which uses AdBlue's urea injection (SCR) for exhaust gas treatment.

And next to the X7 was the "M760Li xDrive". long version.
It was quite big.
And, after all, the interior of this car is very luxurious and I thought "Oh, I want to get in the back seat" ^^
Is it the ottoman behind the passenger seat?
The white interior is really beautiful.
The photo ↓ in the lower right is the one when raising the shade because it can be raised and lowered automatically (the window of the rear seat door).
I wondered if the "joy of sitting in the back seat" feels greater than the "joy of running through" in any of the new BMW series ^^

BMW 850i xDrive Cabriolet
Next is the BMW 850i xDrive Cabriolet. Convertible.
My family is currently using the BMW 650i as a family car that can accommodate five family members.
I'm planning to continue riding this BMW 650i, but when it comes to it, I'm worried about what to do with the successor model, and the best candidate for the successor is the BMW 8 Series.
However, the rear seats of the cabriolet are still too narrow, and it turns out that this cannot be the successor to our family car (tears).
This cabriolet has a white interior and is elegant and luxurious.
And can you see the picture of the door at the bottom right of the picture? ↓ The shining part. This is the B & W speaker. In the case of the cabriolet, it seems that the B & W speaker is standard equipment, and the speaker part such as the door is shining like this.
BMW 850i xDrive Coupe
Next is the BMW 850i xDrive, a coupe type that is not an open car.
I like this BMW's bad face (← compliment ^^).
Perhaps because the center console was bigger, I felt that the coupe, cabriolet, and even the passenger seat were narrower than the current BMW 650i.
By the way, with this coupe type, the B & W speaker is not standard equipment, but an option.
The exhibition car had an optional B & W speaker, so it glows blue.
The option price of B & W is 599,000 yen including tax. This B & W was quite high-class, where other options were so expensive that you would think "easy!" If you were accustomed to Porsche's option price. As expected, B & W.
By the way, my husband and I call this "Otsuka Kagu effect" that "the option price seems to be cheaper".
No, I'm sure those who have been there will know (isn't it?), But when I went to Otsuka Kagu, the salesman came to me from the beginning, and first of all, "the most expensive furniture". I will show you from.
After being shown millions of sofas, he gradually said, "This is also good," and when he was shown something with a low price, even hundreds of thousands of sofas would become "Oh, this is cheap!". Awesome Otsuka furniture effect.
The Otsuka Kagu effect has created the effect of "getting used to Porsche's option price and making BMW's option price feel cheaper." Abunai. Actually Porsche is "too expensive", and even BMW should generally be high enough ^ ^

BMW M8
The last is here. On this day, the M8 was said to be "a special car that will be unveiled on the day and something cannot be announced yet."
What special car will be unveiled? ?? I was thrilled, but it was M8.
No, I was a little disappointed because I wasn't so excited. I went to the BMW Motorsport Festival 2019 held at Fuji Speedway on June 23, the day before, but even on the spot. This BMW M8 has already been announced and exhibited.
So, if anything, what impressed me was the familiarity that "M8, who was at Fuji Speedway until yesterday, must have been brought here today! I met you yesterday too" (laughs).
I was at FSW yesterday and at the Grand Hyatt today, together! Like ^^
No, it was cool. Matte blue is also nice. However, the price seems to be so high that it can not be said to be very nice ^ ^

Lastly, I was able to get a souvenir, but first of all, I am very happy with Joel Robuchon's sweets (like cookies). If you don't eat before the kids find you ^^!
And they are insanely gorgeous catalogs.
Do you understand? There is a gold catalog called THE 7 and a silver catalog called THE X7, both of which look like covers or fabrics and are very luxurious hardcovers.
The size was A4 or larger, and it was so magnificent that I could think "this is not a photo book".
For the time being, I have seen various things this time, but considering that it meets the needs of my home, I thought that the BMW 8 Series Grand Coupe that will come out in the future is still the most promising candidate.
