Porsche Sportscar Together Day 2019: 911 Parade Run and Souvenirs

Posted: June 24, 2019 Updated:

Parade run running the new Porsche 911 and FSW

By the way, this is the last time for Porsche Sportscar Together Day 2019.

At the end ... I would like to introduce the "911 Parade Run" that I participated in and the souvenirs I received at the event on the day.

That's right, the 8th generation Porsche 992, which is the new Porsche 911 that was opened to the public on this day. We participated in a parade run in which these cars can run the main course of Fuji Speedway together.

Briefing for the 911 Parade Run

First of all, those who participate in the parade run must participate in the preliminary briefing. Also, for driving, both the driver and passengers do not have to be in a racing suit, but they must wear long sleeves and long trousers. No helmet or gloves required.

When I headed to the briefing room ... The moment I saw the person who was giving the briefing, they both said "Oh !!".

Yes! !! the other day,Porsche Truck Experience (PTE) that I participated inThey were the instructors of.

Somehow, I was very happy to be able to meet again just 5 days after PTE ^^

I'm glad that some of you taught us about our group, so I was able to thank you again, saying, "It was a really fun and good experience!"

Hmm, I'm really happy to see you all again ~ ^^

FSW racing line and safety line

Well, and the parade run of the day was very, very meaningful to me.

That's because it was the PTE just five days ago, and I just took the lead in this FSW main course for the first time.

The leading run at that time was not to take a running line called a racing line that actually attacks at the time of a race etc., but to run on a safety line that can run relatively safely but efficiently. ..

Of course, the safety line was more than enough for me, so I had a really good experience.

But! !! !! After all, I am greedy for humans (laughs). After running on the safety line, I was wondering, "Then, what's the difference with the racing line?"

My husband was with me during the parade run on that day. Such a husband used to lead the same way at the Ferrari event, and the lead run at that time was the racing line ↓

Then, there is no more chance like this. The parade run on this day was driven by my husband and said, "Run on the racing line!" ^^

Of course, it's a parade run, so there's no speed. So, just check the line slowly.

Well, it's time to start. Started led by Porsche 992.

At the start, Porsche was taking a picture of our car from above.

I was very happy because I couldn't shoot this kind of thing myself. Thank you ^^ In the front row, the third from the front is my GT3.

And also the video.

At the same time as the start, I was excited to remember various things in the car, such as "Yes, the rise from the full brake here to Coca-Cola from TGR was too great !!!".

However, when I looked at the line calmly, there was a clear difference, such as "Oh, I ran bigger and bulging to the outside at my time!"

"Oh yeah, if the speed is fast, it will go out more, so if it's a racing line, it might be around here or more inside."

Is it particularly easy to understand before entering the Dunlop corner (when accelerating before braking around the Dunlop sign)? ??

At the safety line, I felt like I was running outside (out) from the very beginning, and I was running just before the outside line, but at the racing line, the line from the center ... It feels like it's going out. I'm sorry for the confusing explanation ...

A couple parade running while talking about the difference between the racing line learned at Ferrari and the safety line learned at Porsche. It's pretty weird (laughs).

Sometimes I enjoyed the scenery like "Oh! Mt. Fuji is beautiful!" ^^

The running figure of the new Porsche 911 (992)

Oh yeah, it was a very meaningful time to see the new Porsche 911 running properly.

The place where Porsche 992 is running was also cool!

After that, in the case of a parade run, there is no instruction such as "Run on the same line as the car in front and brake at the same place". Basically, if you are driving safely, it feels like "everyone should follow me."

Then, what is interesting to see is that you can somehow understand whether you are a person who is usually running on the circuit or not by looking at the running line.

Of course, even those who usually run on the circuit can say, "Today is a parade run with my wife in the passenger seat, so I'll run leisurely in the middle!" I was able to feel the difference.

Review the running line in the parade run

It's amazing, even if it's really a little thing, after experiencing and experiencing everything by myself, the world you see and feel is completely different.

Suspicious, the parade run while having a conversation between the couple about the running line was quite fun ^ ^

The parade run that I have participated in so far seems to have just felt like "I'm running on the circuit! I'm impressed!", But this time, I just ran after being taught a few days ago. I was able to check and review the line, so there was no such a great situation.

Before I knew it, the name had changed to "GR Supra Corner" ~

The course (?) That will be attended with this "PTE + Sportscar Together Day event" that PTE is 5 days ago and you can review FSW slowly at the event after that, you can do so in the future If so, I recommend it ^^.

Ah, now that I've been able to experience the safety line driving of the FSW main course and the slow confirmation driving of the racing line, I would like to experience the "serious driving of the racing line" next time! !!

I really wished so strongly.

Then.

Unexpectedly, the chance to ride on a serious full-throttle car on the FSW racing line came immediately.

I felt the awesomeness of strongly wishing, dreaming, and delusions. I will write about this separately at a later date.

★ Addition ★ (2019.6.28)
A few days later, with the BMW M4GT4, I had a chance to ride in a serious FSW full-throttle run! I'm impressed ^^
Click here for that time: Seiji Ara won the BMW M6 GT3 riding together! … But FSW fully open driving experience with M4 GT4

Souvenirs received at Porsche Sports Car Together Day

Finally, the souvenirs I received on this day.

Porsche Sportscar Together Day designed in these red, blue and white shades makes me think, "If you look at this with red and blue 3D glasses, it will pop out, right?" (Laughs) The design is the main souvenir of this time.

A flag, a set of stickers, and a plate to hide the license plate.

The rest is a black pouch. It's easy to use if you make the color black, so I'm happy.

Also, although it's not a souvenir, I also got a rubber band that I could get when I participated in the parade run.

Car events often distribute this rubber band, don't they? What should I do if I'm accumulating more and more?

The souvenirs posted here are examples of what I received this time, but I think that the contents of what you can get differ depending on the program you participated in, so these are just for reference as an example ^ ^

Now, I would like to conclude the Porsche event "Sports Car Together Day 2019" that I have written for a long time. Thank you for staying with us for a long time.

Surrounded by Porsche, you can see a lot of wonderful Porsche runs, meet wonderful Porsche related people, a really very fun and happy day.

Thank you for having a wonderful time and various wonderful experiences!
