Porsche has released a video called "Porsche Holiday | The Coded Love Letter." Hmm? An encrypted love letter?
It appears to be a greeting video for the holiday season, but it's not just a "Happy Holidays" message; it's actually quite meaningful.
Porsche captioned the video, "Encrypted Love Letter," and included the following comment:
"Your first clue in the hunt for 8 hidden details: a license plate that takes you back to the start. Spot it? Know the story?"
something like.
Yes, it is said that there are eight hidden things in this video. Can you guess them?
First, here is the video. It's a short 32-second video, so please check it out ^^↓
When I heard that, I thought, "I guess I'll just have to find out!" and watched it frame by frame several times (laughs).
Now, I would like to look at each scene, but I'm sure there are still things I haven't noticed, so if anyone notices anything like "There's this meaning here too!" please let me know ^^
First, here's the first scene. There are two things to notice here.
The first thing is that the white thing that appears at the very beginning and in the foreground is a Lego Porsche (sorry, it was already cut off when I took the screenshot below).
The second thing is that the license plate number of the Turbo parked on the right is "K 45 286".

This "K 45 286" is the number given to Porsche's first 356.
This is the car that is on display at the Porsche Museum. The license plate number matches exactly.

In other words, this video starts with a story that shows the beginning of Porsche.
Next, a man gets into Targa.

As you start driving, a Mercedes appears on the left side of the view.
This is the 500E, a model that is said to have been developed and produced by Porsche.
The number of the Targa being driven also appears here, and it is "S PM 1963".
S: Cars made in Stuttgart
PM:Porsche Moment → It also appears as a hashtag at the end of the video, so this is probably what PM means.
1963:The birth year of the Porsche 911

The number plate used on Porsche's first 356, followed by the number plate showing the year 1963 when the Porsche 911 was born, is it the Taycan, a fully electric car that symbolizes the modern era, that passes by?

Afterwards, the scene shifts to a gathering of Porsche enthusiasts, and there you can see not only the 356, but also the car in the back.Porsche Red TractorThere are some too ^^

Next, the number of stickers (decals?) attached to the Targa continues to increase, as if they are increasing with each passing year of its history.
What is this sticker? I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

The number of stickers is increasing. Do they represent Rennsport or ducktails? The one on the bottom left appears to be a Porsche 1972-1973 World Champion sticker (Porsche Classic model number: 91170110324).
Incidentally, it was announced recentlyGrill badge attached to the 911 GT3 90 FA PorscheIt also had this design.

Also added are stickers from FAT International, a sponsor said to have supported Porsche during its golden age, and Type7, an automotive culture brand that currently collaborates with Porsche across design, media, and products.

It's clear that owners have been enjoying the Porsche life since the very beginning (in this case, from the beginning of the Targa) and have continued to drive it all the way to the present day.

As the sun sets, the view of the city changes to night.

When the car's meter is displayed, the number indicating the mileage is "74911"
Since the last three digits are 911, the division would probably be "74 and 911," but what is 74? If you think about it, it's 1974.
Last year, in 2024, a model commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 Turbo was released. The 911 Turbo 50 Years was sold in a limited run of 1,974 units.I'm sure this is still fresh in your memory.
So, this number represents the birth year of the Turbo, 1974, plus the 911.

If you look more closely, you'll see that the highway signs reflected in the scenery as you drive have the word "Nürburgring" written on them, and below that the distance to the destination is "5:19.546".
This is the time recorded by the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo at the Nürburgring.

When you finally arrive at the night view after a day's drive and look up at the sky, if you look closely, you can see a whale tail made up of stars.

In the end, you'll probably end up with the screen where you put your smartphone down when you get home, but the screen displayed here will be a Porsche Instagram post, with the Type 7 giving it a "like."
Do the times, number of likes, etc. displayed here all have meaning?
The only number shared is "2038," which I wonder if it refers to the 90th anniversary of Porsche's founding in 1948.
Also, since the hashtag used here was #PorscheMoment, I thought that the "PM" on the license plate that first appeared might refer to Porsche Moment.

...We've looked at a lot of things, but the first thing Porsche said was "8 hidden details (and their stories)."
The eight are:
① The number attached to the first 356 was "K 45 286"
②The introduction of the Mercedes 500E
3. The Targa number indicates the year Porsche was born: "S PM 1963"
④The appearance of the red tractor
⑤The history of stickers (decals) from the past to the present
⑥ Display of 1974, the year Turbo was born (74911)
⑦ Nürburgring time achieved by the 919 Hybrid EVO
⑧ Appearance of Whale Tail
Maybe? I thought.
So, my prediction is that some Porsche will come out in the future with a whale tail as an homage to the past!!!
It was fun watching the video while imagining all sorts of things. I guess Porsche fans all over the world watched it seriously.
