Porsche's all-electric SUV: the new EV Macan
The Tokyo Marathon 2025 is fast approaching.
The marathon will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Porsche Japan has signed a three-year contract as an official partner of the Tokyo Marathon.
As previously announced, the new Porsche Macan electric SUV will be appearing as the official car. I'm so excited to see the EV Macan in action. It's definitely cool.
Visuals of the Porsche running in the Tokyo Marathon have now been released.
First of all, the new Macan EV will play the role of the "Chief Judge" car, watching over the first runner from behind. On the front, the word "Chief Judge" is written in calligraphy by calligrapher/artist Yuna Okanishi.
Maybe because it's written in calligraphy, at first glance it gives off a "bancho" (delinquent leader) image (what kind of image is that (lol)), but I think it's good that it has a Japanese feel to it.
The word "electric" is written on the side, making it very clear that it is an electric vehicle. That's great.
In addition, Porsche's proud fully electric vehicle, the Taycan, was also running as a "pioneer."
The latest Porsches will also be used as timing vehicles and to inspect and referee the entire route, supporting the course from the start to the finish at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
