911 Supercars: 7th Anniversary of Porsche Blog

Although I'm a day late, yesterday, February 6th, 2025, marked the 7th anniversary of this blog, 911supercars.

It's already been seven years since we set up the server and started on February 6, 2018.

To those of you who have been following this blog since the beginning, seven years have passed since then and you have aged seven years, hehehe... ^^

Turning seven years old is quite a long time.

I am truly grateful to everyone who has visited my blog for so many years, and I still enjoy updating my blog every time, even though it has been seven years already. I still love Porsche every day.

Delivery ceremony at the Porsche Experience Center: Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS

so!

Four years ago was also the birthday of this blog.On February 6th, I received delivery of a Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet (992.1).However, I would like to report that a new Porsche was delivered on February 6th.

Until now, I have relied on Porsche Center Takanawa for new cars, but when I ordered this GT4 RS, various circumstances came up and I purchased it from Porsche Studio Nihonbashi.

One thing I want to make clear is that I never approached random dealers thinking, "I'll just buy from anywhere," and I have no desire to do anything that would betray the dealers who have helped me.

I don't want to go into detail here, so I can't tell you, but this time I was in a situation where I just couldn't think of buying from PC Takanawa, so I ended up asking for help from Porsche Studio Nihonbashi, which was introduced to me by an acquaintance. (※Since then, I have used both PC Takanawa and PC Koishikawa.)

Now.

So, since this car was purchased from Porsche Studio Nihonbashi, will the delivery ceremony be held at Porsche Studio Nihonbashi or at the Porsche Center Adachi, which is in the same group?

PEC Tokyo delivery ceremony

No, this time I decided to go to "Porsche Experience Center Tokyo" We decided to hold the delivery ceremony at "!

I had heard that the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as PEC Tokyo) was now able to hold delivery ceremonies, so I thought I'd like to experience it while I had the chance.

I think there may be some people who would like to have their PEC Tokyo car delivered in the future, so I would like to write about my experience at the PEC Tokyo delivery ceremony.

First thing in the morning, a sales representative from Porsche Studio Nihonbashi came to pick me up at my house in this bright red Cayenne GTS.

*Depending on the situation, you may be required to travel by public transportation to Kisarazu Station, and a sales representative may come to pick you up at the station.

*The vehicle itself will be transported to PEC Tokyo in advance on a truck.

When I arrived at the parking lot of PEC Tokyo and looked around, I noticed that there were four Cayman RS models lined up. Is there some kind of event going on?

Or so I thought.

How.

Actually, a week ago, my husband and I were drunk at a free-flow champagne lunch near Nihonbashi, and by chance, we met at Porsche Studio Nihonbashi.Yamada(What a situation (lol)).

I was drunk, so I casually asked him, "We're having a delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo next week, do you want to come?"

Then, apparently, he even invited his friends, and even though it was a weekday, four Cayman RS model owners showed up. I was surprised that morning.

Since the car being delivered this time was a 718 Cayman GT4 RS, we received inquiries from owners of Spyder RS and GT4 RS.

It was a pleasant surprise. I was able to suddenly line up the RS models and the cars that were to be delivered.

Thank you, Yamada-san, and everyone who came. It was nice to see everyone again after such a long time.

The delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo, which was supposed to be a quiet and solemn event, suddenly became lively and noisy. Hahaha. It's fun.

Other people in attendance included sales and marketing staff from Porsche Studio Nihonbashi, as well as several staff members from PEC Tokyo, so it was really quite lively...or rather, quite hectic (laughs).

Now let's take a look at the delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo.

First, here is the delivery space at PEC Tokyo.

There are various things set up behind the car, which is covered with a veil like this.

The screen shows an image of the Porsche that will be delivered that day, or rather, the actual car that is right in front of you, along with the name and date.

There are lovely mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails) and dessert plates on the tables.

*Flowers and wine are gifts from Yamada-san, so they are not usually included, just to be safe (and of course I wasn't drinking alcohol at the time ^^)

The color of the Porsche to be delivered will be the theme color

You may notice that both the mocktails and the dessert plates are pink in color.

This will be created by Chef Pascal of Restaurant 906 at PEC Tokyo, and will represent the color of the Porsche that will be delivered.

This time, our car is a Ruby Star Neo with gold wheels, so we had this dessert and mocktail.

The flowers provided by Yamada were also arranged in a deep pink color to match the Ruby Star Neo.

When she got home, she excitedly told her child, "Well, my car is pink, so they chose pink flowers too!" to which he replied very calmly, "It's easy to tell just by looking."

I was the only one who was excited lol.

After enjoying delicious desserts and mocktails, it was finally time to uncover the car.

Two staff members will unveil it.

Oh oh.

Here you go!!

So, so, so cool.

Boom! What do you think?

Yeah, it's super cool (self-satisfied bursting).

As for the body color, I thought it would be nice to experience a pink car at least once in my life, but I was hesitant at first, thinking it might be too flashy. However, when I checked out the actual Ruby Star Neo color at PEC Tokyo in advance, I decided it was a nice color, as it was a surprisingly calm, deep pink.

Furthermore, I thought that this Ruby Star Neo would soon become unavailable as an option from the original colors, so I decided to go for this color as I was worried I might regret it if that happened.

The only option for wheels is gold from the start.

Around the time I was deciding on the specifications for this car, I developed a gold wheel obsession, so every car I configured had gold wheels (lol).

I really wanted to get gold wheels, so I went for pink x gold this time. But the gold is also very calming and beautiful.

At first glance, you might think it's a manual because it has a stick, but it's actually a PDK.

For me, left-hand drive is better for MT because I want to shift with my right hand, but for PDK, right-hand drive is totally fine. However, this time I chose left-hand drive.

There is no particular reason, but I have never had a left-hand drive PDK before, so I would like to enjoy the left-hand drive this time.

★Additional Note (2025.2.7)★As soon as I uploaded the blog, I received a comment. That's right, my 991.2 GT3 was a left-handed PDK... I've already experienced it (laughs)!

So, has anyone here so far managed to figure out where the delivery ceremony space at PEC Tokyo is located?

This delivery space, morning missionAs anyone who has participated in the event knows, this is the place where you can get coffee during the morning mission.

That coffee area is the delivery space.

The coffee area is just a disguise to disguise it as a delivery space...hehehehe.

Now that the car has been unveiled, we would like to continue by sharing more details about the delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo.

This is the second car delivered at PEC Tokyo.

When I first checked in at PEC Tokyo, I was given this special tag with my name (in my case, 911Supercars), the date, the model name of the car I was going to deliver, and...huh? The number #0002.

This "#0002" is the number of the car delivered at PEC Tokyo. In other words, I am the second car delivered at PEC Tokyo.

The strap is also gold in color and the text reads, "PEC TOKYO New Vehicle Delivery/ It all starts with a dream."

The key case for your car keys is also an original PEC Tokyo design.

When I opened the box, I found a PEC Tokyo course map inside.

They also make souvenirs for you on the spot.

It's a key chain, but one side has the name of PEC Tokyo on it, and you can have any text you like engraved on the other side.

Here are the available patterns. You can combine any of the letters or symbols listed here (character limit applies).

Once you've decided on the letters you want to include, you can just press the handle hard to create the shape yourself.

I had my husband do it.

This is a sample that PEC Tokyo had made in advance↓, but you can create your own original design by adding your name or any numbers you like.

Finally, one more special thing about delivering at PEC Tokyo is that we will write your name on the PEC Tokyo course map and then put it up in the delivery space at PEC Tokyo.

I went ahead and stuck it on (with a magnet).

The one already attached to my left is from the person who received the first car delivered by PEC Tokyo.

There is space for a total of 25 stickers, so once all 25 are filled, you will be able to receive the PEC Tokyo course map backing (is that what it's called?) that you signed at a later date.

The wall this is on is behind the people who serve you coffee when you go to the Morning Mission, so if you're interested, please come and take a look.

Finally, we had a lunch set.

This was the menu for the delivery ceremony lunch that day. Can you see that right below the restaurant name, The 906, it says "Welcome 911 Supercars"?

Even small details like this make me feel special.

The meal was plentiful and looked and tasted delicious.

The highlight was that in addition to the main meat dish coming with french fries, we also got a generous amount of french fries as a side dish (lol).

We had a fun lunch with everyone who came that day in their Spider RS and GT4 RS.

Those who wish can also experience a driving program around PEC Tokyo before or after lunch (if you purchase a new car, you will receive an invitation to PEC Tokyo, so you can use it at the delivery ceremony), but we ended the experience with lunch.

We brought the delivered GT4 RS out into the parking lot and immediately lined it up with the other RSs that had come along.

Suddenly, this scene appeared. Amazing.

I'm really thankful to you!

By the way, Yamada-san's GT4 RS is the pink one on the left, and ours is the pink one on the right. They're the same color, but there are subtle differences.

We had a great time delivering the PEC Tokyo car, and enjoyed some fun conversations with everyone.

A new delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo

I think it would be nice to have your first encounter with a Porsche at the delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo, where you can enjoy a quiet and private time with your spouse or partner, or it would be great to have a lot of people come, like we did at our house this time, and have a good time chatting like we were on a morning mission.

Even if you come to PEC Tokyo with a lot of Porsches (and even if you don't), you can park your car and have lunch together or experience driving, so it might be nice to have a little "delivery party" ^^

I think it would be impossible to have a large number of people show up at a dealership as it would be a nuisance, but the delivery ceremony at PEC Tokyo looks like it will offer many new ways to enjoy the delivery.

Finally, I will go through the two usual checks at PEC Tokyo before heading home.

The first is to confirm Chiba-kun's existence.

On this day, both Chiba-kun and Kisapon were in the shop.

Another thing is checking the growth of this Somei-Yoshino cherry tree.

However,I just came last monthSo I guess I didn't grow much from there (laughs).

Actually, the discussion about this GT4 RS started when I originally wanted a GT3 and requested a GT3.

However, in the middle of that conversation, the subject of the GT4 RS suddenly came up... After wondering what to do, I ultimately couldn't resist the appeal of the GT4 RS, and so I took delivery of the car.

The 718 Cayman GT4 RS that came was cool, cute, and awesome.

I've said for a while that I'm not good at driving a midship Porsche (I), but I was still scared because of that, so I had my husband drive me all the way back from PEC Tokyo this time ^^

It's my habit to stop by Costco in Kisarazu after PEC Tokyo, so after the delivery of my GT4 RS I ended up going to Costco as well.

Previously, the trunk of the 718 Cayman hadIt has also been proven that Costco toilet paper can fit inside. So, I carried toilet paper with peace of mind on this day as well.

No, well, it's a great car that you can drive on the circuit anytime with the Weissach package! But the transmission suddenly makes you carry toilet paper, so I'm sorry, Cayman... (laughs).

I've only just started breaking it in, so these are my impressions after just driving normally on the highway, but the first thing I noticed was that there was a really loud "plop! splash!" noise.

It's a sound I've never heard before in a Porsche, and the feeling of the intake sound changes depending on how deeply you press the pedal.

There's also a kind of scratchy sound...I think (inside the car).

Anyway, it will take some time to get used to the sound I've never heard before in the car.

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone at Porsche Studio Nihonbashi who made all the preparations up to this day, to Mr. Yamada who helped with everything from introductions to everything on the day of delivery, and to everyone at PEC Tokyo who made the delivery ceremony possible.

Thank you very much!

We're starting the eighth year of this 911supercars blog with the 718 Cayman GT4 RS.

I look forward to making more wonderful connections through this blog. I'm grateful to everyone who reads my blog! Thank you!

Although this blog is not perfect, I would be happy if you would continue to visit it.
