Drive lesson at Sunako Juku @ Tsukuba Circuit Gym Kana

Posted: July 28, 2019 Updated:

Driving school "Sunako Juku"

In January of this year, "Sunako Juku" is a driving lesson school that I attended for the first time when my husband applied for it.

At first, it was quite "yeah!", "Ehhhhh, I'm really going to participate ~ ???", but when I ran, it was already fun, fun, fun, and so on. There was no way ^^.

After that, my husband once again applied for a program called Porsche Truck Experience Precision, which is a Porsche driving lesson, saying, "Come on to Porsche's driving lesson this time!"

While I was saying "Yes" again, when I participated, I was once again saying "Porsche is the best! I want to run more!" It's too simple for me.

Click here for the situation at that time◆ PTE (Porsche Truck Experience) ”list

That's why I've learned a lot, so before I forget that experience, I have another chance to run properly! So, I participated in Sunako Juku again ~. Click here for the location.

Yes, it's the gymkhana field at Tsukuba Circuit.

That doesn't mean I play Gymkhana. Use this large space to practice running by making a small course such as a steady circular turn or an oval turn.

I am still participating in my beloved Porsche 911 Carrera. Really, if you can run as much as you can with this kind of training, you will love Carrera even more, and you will be able to make a metamorphosis that you really love and run while thinking "I like it".

No, it's really amazing.

Porsche is fun to ride in the city. But after all, it's even more fun to run as hard as you can.

I haven't done it yet, but I think it would be fun if I could run at full throttle on the circuit.

I envy those who can do that.

You can experience the Porsche 911 by bringing the original wonderful performance of the Porsche 911 closer to the point where you can bring out the performance of the 100% and use it.

That's really amazing.

I really only know a few percent of the touch. If you participate in this kind of training, you will understand that kind of reality as much as you can ^^

However, by participating in the training, before that, "I knew only about 5%" about 911, but after the training, "I might have understood about 7%", and that will be the next training. "Maybe I can use Carrera's performance for about 10%", but it is a little bit, but I can see that my understanding of the car and how to handle it will deepen.

By the way, I participated with my husband this time as well. It seems that few couples participate in this kind of training ^^ I mean, there are few women participating in it ...

Lecture is essential for driving lessons

Start with a lecture by Tomohiko Sunako.Review what you have learned beforeIncluding, I think that there will be a difference between what I learn first in this lecture and what I do not, in the practice after that.

Even if I heard it before, I can remember "Oh, yeah, that's right", and the class that I actually ran after the last lecture and listened to again after that is my understanding. The degree is different.

In my case, in order to do anything, first of all, "I can't do it unless I understand it in my head", so lectures are essential.

The same was true when I first drove a manual car. Even if I was suddenly taught by practical skills, I didn't understand at all (because it was overseas, I had never been to a driving school before driving an MT car ... it's scary, my driving (laughs)!), So the manual First of all, I was taught the structure and why I could operate and move the shift, and then I was able to do it immediately after that. something like that.

As I may have written before, originally, I like this "man taking off his racing suit from his upper body" because he is cool (oh, he makes strange remarks (laughs)?), So Mr. Sunako is in this state. Hmmm, I think it's cool when it's explained in. ... Oh, I'm saying something strange (laughs).

Drive lesson: Steady circular turn

By the way, aside from strange remarks, after the lecture, we will start with a steady circular turn.

Actually, it was an oval turn at the last Sunako Juku, so it was a completely round circle.Steady circular turning is only in Porsche's truck experience, I haven't done it yet.

On this day as well, we started by sprinkling plenty of water with a sprinkler. This sprinkler was the first yellow one I saw. A picture of a whale is drawn and it's cute ^^

At the time of steady circular turning, Porsche "fixed to 1st speed, fix it as it is when the steering wheel is bent, then increase the speed only with accelerator work ... When the rear becomes full, turn off the accelerator suddenly It was to slide the car and "experience the car slipping".

Unlike that, the steady circular turn at Sunako Juku runs while drawing a circle, and on the way, slide the car by fully depressing the accelerator, and if possible, hit the counter from there and make a circular turn while sliding. something like. In other words, the person who can do it keeps drifting and turning around. Difficulty ...

With the Porsche 911 and the rear tires just replaced with new ones, the steady circular turning that I did in Porsche training did not really slip as much as it was a difficult task just to slide the 911. What a safe and respectable car! It's touching when it comes to its slipperiness.

Unlike the time of Porsche (because it was said that PSM should be on at the time of Porsche), PSM is off from the beginning this time.

Once again, it starts with everything except the suspension.

I heard later that every time I run (in an oval turn after a steady circular turn), it repeats full acceleration → deceleration → full acceleration, so anyway, the rear wing seems to be busy going up and down. It was said that it was better to leave the rear wing manually from the beginning. I also thought ^ ^

After a while for the first time, it rained just right, so the watering car became incomparably wet, so in the steady circular turn at this time, it was quite slippery. Can now be done.

However, it is still decades early for me to have the technology of turning when I slip on the counter and then slip on the counter ... (Oh, I'll die if I do so ^^).

However, on this day, I felt that I got the knack for sliding the Porsche 911 of RR, and my goal in this steady circular turn is "First of all, let's be able to slide 100 out of 100 shots, if you slip. I did it by saying, "It's okay to stop with the brakes," but I'm glad I managed to achieve that.

By the way, when I ran after turning off the engine once on the way, I ran with PSM turned on, but this also did not slip brilliantly.

Suddenly I couldn't slip, so I was in a hurry asking, "What happened, Carrera-san? What happened?" Then, I suddenly realized that "Oh, I haven't turned off PSM!", And when I turned it off, it was restored again ^^

No, I was really impressed by Carrera's awesomeness, as I was able to really feel how safe it was to run because PSM was operating normally. Thank you for always protecting me, really.

Porsche's water drop art made by steady circular rotation

Well, here.

Another moving thing. Yes! It was the other day that I had the maintenance of the glass coatingWater drop art made by Carrera with a slippery body..

Please see! When you make a steady circular turn in the rain, it looks like this! !! !!

Hmmm, I don't feel like "Now, you're spinning at high speed, right?" (Laughs)? ??

At the front, the direction of the rain pattern is strange like this (laughs). It's not from top to bottom, but from left to right ^^ ↓

Once again, I was impressed to see such a rain pattern in the rain after the steady circular turn was over.

If you go around in the opposite direction, the direction of this rain line will also be the opposite. No, it's really fun to see this kind of thing.

Drive lesson: Oval turn

Next is the oval turn. I like oval. This is really fun.

Go straight at full throttle (in my case, it was about 80km) and brake toward the clipping point (the point on the innermost side of the curve = the point where you turn the steering wheel to the maximum). Practicing to turn the clipping point at the maximum steering angle while using the front load with the brake and accelerator off from decelerating while using.

At first, I was getting too close to the clipping point from the front, but after receiving the advice that "(the way the car enters) is too shallow toward the clipping point", once. At some point with corrections / corrections

"Oh! From this area, if you go with this kind of brake, you can reach the clipping point at the maximum rudder angle."

I gradually understood, and at one point, when the "maximum steering angle with brake & accelerator off" was miraculously made (in my own way), the car really turned "fu". I felt it.

Really, like a lie, until now! While groaning, 911 Carrera, who seemed to be aggressive, was really accelerating, but suddenly, as if a person had changed, suddenly, only at that moment, it bent as if the power was well lost. Will do it.

I was impressed with this! !! !! !! !! Perhaps it was the moment when I realized that it was the first time for me to "bend with a front load".

Really, I'll write it again and again (laughs), but this experience of bending with the front load was a miracle for me.

It feels like "Oh, this!"

It's probably my number one achievement of the day that the car turns "fluffy" with such a beautiful front load. I was able to understand, experience, and repeatedly reproduce the fact that it bends using this front load.

Mr. Sunako and the instructor are always watching everyone's running, and they always get on the passenger seat, and on the contrary, they put the participants on the passenger seat and run in various ways. , Gave me some advice.

I was very happy that Tomohiko Sunako came all the way to the car after I finished the oval turn and praised me, "I'm glad!" ^^

I'm sure Mr. Sunako understood that I was able to experience this "bending using the front load" for the first time. I'm impressed.

It's still not good, but let me give you a video as one of my own growth records ... I want to compare it later (laughs). I'm an amateur, so I'm not embarrassed even if I'm not good at it. n/a. I hope that is an amateur ^^

It would be nice if there were new discoveries next time and more than this time, and if I could run 911 even a little better.

I was really moved and happy because some of the participants gave me very happy words, "Porsche, you're riding!"

I'm sorry, I accept anything positive ^^

Lunch break is sandwiched between ..., lunch is here. Lunch boxes will be provided. Chinese food. It contains a lot of big shrimp. What information (laughs)?

Carrera has become quite hot, so open the rear engine hood ... Check the scent of heat from the engine ← There! !!

No, it's the best. It's too hot though.

Drive lesson: Simple course driving

By the way, in the afternoon after lunch, after making a little oval turn, I will make a little course layout using cones and run there.

The start is a straight line, and from the fully open corner, you think about the clipping point yourself, decide, and turn at the maximum rudder angle toward that point ... It's a slightly advanced version of the oval turn.

I was allowed to do this at the previous Sunako Juku, but the difference this time is that I was able to fully open it on the first straight.

Before, I was a little flirted with "what to do if I couldn't turn completely" and it was "almost fully open", but I wasn't completely fully open, but this time I didn't hesitate from the first shot and it was solid. Full acceleration, about 4 seconds at full throttle.

In other words, it goes 100km / h (PDK of Carrera 991.2 is 0-100km in 4.2 seconds). Actually, I measured it, and it was about 98-102km on the first straight every time. No, this time it was too fun to dig in with this straight fully open, so I was warned that "it's too tight!" And "(before turning) overspeed!". I tend to overdo everything when it's fun ...

However, I think that I was able to step in without any fear because I learned from my training experience that Porsche 911 will surely stop and bend.

Of course, the training is to adjust it so that it can bend neatly toward the clipping point with moderation, but for me, this time, "I can trust the Porsche 911 so much" is my self-confidence. It became ^ ^

Oh, what should I do now? I can only see the 911 that I love, and if I can trust its performance and let myself go, I have no choice but to fall to the point where it falls.

By the way, here is the video. Unfortunately, in this driving practice, I couldn't do anything that I could convince myself at all ... I had to run quite a few (tears).

Every time I thought, "Let's do this next time" and "Let's do this more", I intended to do various things while changing it little by little, but even so, "Oh, that's it!" Or "I understand what I'm feeling now!" I can't reach it like that.

It's not that easy. deep!

This time as well, not only the fun of the drive training itself, but also the reunion with the people I had met before, I had a very good time again.

The person I met at Porsche Track Experience was also planning to participate on this day, but I was very disappointed to hear that the participation date was postponed due to various reasons (tears).

Tires are decreasing in this way

Oh yeah. and.

The story of tires. When I was running, the tire pressure was 2.4 at the front and 2.5 at the rear (the initial setting was 2.1 at the front and 2.3 at the rear).

So, after running a certain number of times, I checked the tires every time.

The front feels relatively little change ↓

Then, when I look into the rear tires ... Oh. The rear tires have a stronger burning scent than the front tires! !!

… So again there? It feels like (laughs). No, but really, when I feel the burning scent of this tire, I like it because it feels like "911-san, you did your best to run!" ^^

I can't talk to the car in a language, so I feel like I'm talking to Porsche 911 through these tires and the scent of the heat of the engine.

picture? Ah? Yes, leave it alone (laughs).

and! This discovery ↓

do you understand? Wow, this is how the tires are decreasing! !! !! I was impressed. Can you see that the rubber of the tire is melting from the edge of the groove?

Looking at this, I think, "Oh, it costs a lot of tires again !!", but it's strange because it makes me happy.

No, but why would you be happy (laughs)? I don't really understand it anymore ^^

Again, I ran a lot on wet roads and the sides of the car's body became quite dirty.

But…!

For some reason, only the front is shiny. Why? ??Only the front coating is more enthusiasticDid you give it to me (laughs)?

Even though I didn't wipe it or wash it, the front was shiny for some reason, and I was surprised by everyone ^^

Seen from the front, I couldn't see the car that had run down in the driving lesson.

BMW Team Studie

Oh yeah, and finally. On this day, I met the instructor Kocchi again, who was the one who raced the M4 GT4 at the BMW event the other day!

On this day, "That was a miracle that I won!" Or "BMW Team Studie people suddenly got acquainted (= me) and got on with a light glue. Please run at full throttle! I will report all of today's runs to Mr. Sunako! " (Lol).

The first started with a tour, My experience at Sunako Juku.

After that, let me actually participate in the training! I really appreciate the various encounters and relationships that I can experience to know more about 911 and connect to the point where I can ride the racing run of Fuji Speedway with BMW's M4 GT4. I feel it.

There is no "sparing" in teaching the lessons of Sunako Juku. I like that again.

Tomohiko Sunako and everyone at Sunako Juku want the participants to be really good, first of all, "to be able to run safely", and then "running for more fun and speed". It is very well communicated that he thinks so.

I want to go play again! For a drinking party! (← That's it (laughs) ?!)

Thank you ^^! !!
