Porsche 911 purchase note: ④ Remote tracking of the ship carrying the Porsche 911 entering Toyohashi Port

Posted: August 22, 2021 Updated:

I want to see a car carrier that brings Porsche from Germany

Delivered in February 2021My Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet (992)I wrote about "Porsche 911 Purchase Note: ③ Tracking the ship with PorscheI didn't write the continuation at the end.

Once again, it is a continuation of the pursuit of the ship with Porsche.

Well, the content is really completely self-satisfying play (?), And it's too nerdy, so I hope only those who are interested can get along ^ ^

If there is a person who wants to watch the ship with the Porsche ordered by himself like me from a distance in the future, I hope that this content will be useful even a little (probably not useful. Haha) teeth).

then, let's begin!

First of all, last time, in the article "Tracking a ship with a Porsche I ordered, I wrote that I was following the route of that ship all the time on the net.

Porsche 911 Purchase Note: ③ Tracking the ship with Porsche

This time, it will be "when the ship finally arrives in Japan and enters Toyohashi Port".

When I was confirming the date and time when the ship would arrive in Japan at a fairly early stage, the ship called Morning Caroline with my Porsche was scheduled to enter Toyohashi Port on "January 11, 2021 (Monday / holiday)".

By chance, I was planning to enter the port on a holiday where I could move without any plans, so I was absolutely eager to go to Toyohashi Port and see the ship with my own eyes.

In order to realize that, I wanted to know where the ship can be seen at Toyohashi Port, and even ordinary people can enter the place where the ship can be seen, so I actually went to Toyohashi Port in advance for a rehearsal practice. I was there.

Ah, the extreme of stupidity (laughs).

The blog at that time is here. At this time, I went to Toyohashi Port for a rehearsal to meet this Morning Caroline:Go to the Volkswagen Group Japan Headquarters in Toyohashi (Mikawa Port)

The ship is finally going to Japan ... it's real

The port that the target ship, Morning Caroline, stopped by just before entering Toyohashi Port in Aichi Prefecture was Taiwan (Taipei).

By the time the ship leaves Taipei, you're so worried about it that you're checking where it's every hour. The trend of the ship that I had no choice but to worry about.

I'm completely emotionally unstable.

And at this point I've been following the ship too much and I'm chasing the Porsche on the ship or the ship itself, maybe I'm not the Porsche, I wasn't sure if I wanted to meet a ship called Morning Caroline anymore (laughs).

The ship departs from Taiwan, and the next destination is Toyohashi Port, Japan.

Arrived safely ~! !!

Here this timeIse Bay Marin Traffic CenterStart checking the HP of.

At this point, the arrival time of the ship I was waiting for had been changed to 13:30 on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

One day behind the original schedule. Yeah yeah. It's not a holiday. weekday. ... I couldn't go even on weekdays.

But even more.

At this time, even the state of emergency was declared by Corona. with this timing. Morning Caroline is coming to Japan soon! !!

… Huh.

I was completely prepared to go to Toyohashi Port, and I was full of desires to go and meet Morning Caroline.

I really wanted to go. I wanted to look at the Morning Caroline from a distance at Toyohashi Port and grin, "Is there a Porsche 992 over there?" (Metamorphosis).

But.

In a situation where an emergency was declared, it was clear that my trip to Toyohashi Port was unnecessary and urgent, so I gave up going to Toyohashi Port.

I was really sad. I wanted to meet you, Morning Caroline.

But this is all there is to it.

In this way, I gave up actually going to Toyohashi Port, but then I will start focusing on "how can I see the Morning Caroline remotely (even from Tokyo)".

Yes, the beginning of madness, this (laughs).

The day of January 12, 2021.

Without bothering anyone, I quietly chase Toyohashi Port from my home in Tokyo.

Before the scheduled arrival time, first check the location of the ship online. At this point, Morning Caroline's Toyohashi Port (THS), which left Taiwan, is scheduled to enter Toyohashi Port (THS) on January 12, 2021 at 13:00.

Alright, definitely see! !!

From here on, just staring at the PC screen.

My desktop PC environment is a 42.5 inch monitor, There you will see the real-time route of the ship and live camera footage from various locations. The monitor is already filled with live camera images and maps.

* Considering the time lag between the live camera and the location information of the ship, we are actually checking from a time zone slightly earlier than when entering the location displayed in the location information.

For example, when a ship enters this place (yellow arrow), check the live camera from around the green circle.

Here are the cameras. You can see it from several points (there is a list of live camera links at the bottom of the page).

I was in a hurry for a while, so I couldn't figure out what the video was from, but anyway, I was desperate to see the ship with the Porsche 911 on it with a live camera from the direction of Sugashima Port. ..

Just switch the live camera and check.

Hmmm, but I don't know if the timing isn't right or if the route isn't moving in the first place, but I can't see it. The weather is bad and the outlook is bad.

Frustrated ...

After all, the ship went on toward Toyohashi Port without being able to catch the appearance of Morning Caroline.

If a ship enters this area ...

Hi, then switch to a lot of live camera footage near Toyohashi Port.

You can see it somewhere! !! !!

Yeah? ??

One live camera image captured a ship in the distance.

Well, is this the Morning Caroline with my Porsche 911? Morning Caroline? ?? ??

Wow, I'm thrilled.

Are you a Morning Caroline? ?? ??

Gue.

Different! !! !!

Morning Caroline doesn't look like this! !! Don't get confused anymore! !! (← Completely hit eight (laughs)).

There is no choice but to confirm that another ship has entered Toyohashi Port, and this time switch to the live camera installed by the Gamagori Classic Hotel near the green circle here.

Nununu.

I can't see it from here either!

... I mean, at this point, "one person is watching" this live stream, and it's clear that I'm the only one. What else isn't anyone else watching? ?? Everyone who has Porsche on the Morning Caroline, aren't you interested? ?? ??

Where are you guys? !!

After all, I couldn't see the Morning Caroline from the live camera of this hotel.

Ah, while doing so, the ship goes on and on. Then, I'm already quite close to the port, so ...

Yes, switch live cameras again!

You can see the sea from several points. From Tokyo (laughs).

Is there still a time difference? I couldn't catch the appearance of the ship.

I'm observing live camera images from various angles on a big PC monitor, and I feel like "Is it a spy?" ← I'm enjoying it (laughs).

Check the live video from the chamomelia around the green circle when the ship enters here, the last fort ↓

The weather was bad, so the image is also bad. It's hard to see through because of raindrops on the camera.

When I look closely, huh? I saw something like a ship! Maybe you are Morning Caroline?

When I think about it, when I arrive at the port, it's completely different! My disappointment when I saw this completely different ship.

I was screaming "What is it!" In front of the PC screen ↓

It's not a morning caroline anymore, but I'm curious, so I looked it up and found that the ship with FUJI TRANS written here was scheduled to arrive at 14:22 on January 12th. "Maru"?

No, so I don't care about that! !! (Kinuuramaru-san, I'm sorry)

It might have been the Morning Caroline that was reflected in the back of this camera shortly before 15:00, but I couldn't confirm it because I wasn't sure.

Finally, the ship carrying the Porsche 911 is on the verge of berthing. It seems impossible to see Morning Caroline with my own eyes anymore.

I have no choice but to give up (crying) to capture the appearance of the ship itself in the live video, and then follow only the movement of the ship.

At this point, the scheduled arrival time was pushed until 15:08.

For me, who has been sticking to the PC screen since about 12:30 and following the movement of the ship, it doesn't matter if it's past 15:00.

If you arrive at the port safely, that's fine. It becomes such a feeling.

The Morning Caroline, the ship carrying my Porsche 911, is finally about to berth at Toyohashi Port.

Hmm?

As the berth approaches, suddenly two small boats are stuck together. What are you doing! !! !! On my ship! !! (Not my ship)

The morning caroline with Porsche is displayed in green in the center.

The two ships around it were not in the way of this Morning Caroline, but rather the ones who were leading the way.

Ah, thank you ^^ I'm sorry to say that I'm rude.

"Ibuki Maru" is in front of the ship.

And "Kumanomaru" will follow you behind the ship. Thank you for both ships!

Morning Caroline guided to the berthing position by two leading vessels.

U-turn as guided.

Even when I make a U-turn, I keep watching on the net. I was already grinning. Suspicious (laughs).

And finally!

It is the long-awaited berthing at Toyohashi Port.

I'm happy! !! !! Welcome, my beloved Porsche 992 Carrera! !! !! He came to Japan well. thank you!

You can see that we arrived at the shore like this.

Ah, I'm really really happy. Can you understand my excitement of following this in real time for several hours?

I will never forget this excitement!

If you leave it on the map screen, here ↓

I think the time when Morning Caroline berthed was around 15:50 on January 12, 2021 ^^

Looking at the place where the ship berthed, of course the image of the harbor is not real-time, so it is a composite of the past, but in this way the cars unloaded from the ship are lined up next to the ship actually berthed. You can see that there is ↓

By following the place where I berthed this Morning Caroline, I also found that the place when I was going to Toyohashi Port for rehearsal was perfect for seeing the ship ("Not here" in advance. I am grateful that my husband was the one who specified the location.)

The ship displayed in green is the ship on which Porsche was placed this time, and the place circled in yellow at the lower right is the place where I had been to Toyohashi Port for preview in advance (more sea) Since it is an off-limits section and cannot be approached, this yellow circle is just in front of the off-limits fence).

In other words, if I could actually go to Toyohashi Port on this day (without the problem of corona), I think I could see the Morning Caroline from the place I aimed at at that time. I found out that.

Unfortunately, in reality, I could only check the movement of the ship online this time, but if I have another chance, I would like to go see the ship with my Porsche next time. ^^

I really enjoyed the long journey to track the Morning Caroline, the ship carrying the Porsche 911.

If you are interested in ordering Porsche from now on, please enjoy tracking the ship.

The joy when Porsche was delivered, the joy when I finally met Porsche on the ship that has been watching the route so far ^ ^

List of live cameras to see Toyohashi Port

This time I checked live cameras from various locations remotely from Tokyo, but I think this area is the best to use to follow the ships that will finally arrive at Toyohashi Port. ?? Here are the live cameras I thought:

This is the end of my Porsche 911 purchase note (992) for the time being. Thank you for acquainting me with the full-blown otaku content ^^

The Porsche 911 Cabriolet (992), which I've been waiting for all the time from leaving Germany to following the route of the ship to Japan, is still the best car for me. Is definitely still cute.

I would like to continue to have a good time with 992 without forgetting the feeling of excitement before I met this ship.

Oh, I really love Porsche too much ... ^^

★Postscript★ (April 21, 2023)
We received a comment from a person who was able to capture a ship entering Toyohashi Port from the live camera. If you do your best, you can see it properly! ! I am very happy that it has been proved.

We will reprint the details of the time we received from those who succeeded in capturing the ship with the live camera below ↓ so we would appreciate it if you could refer to it. Thank you for the detailed information ^^

------------------------------------------
It was early in the morning and the weather was clear when I tracked the ship with live cameras.

In the image from Cape Irago, I used Kamishima as a landmark and a light buoy on the sea as a landmark to align the camera position. In terms of distance, it will pass right by, so if you can check the silhouette of the ship at this point, I think it will be reflected quite clearly.

In my case, I regret that it was before sunrise.

Hashidahana's live camera also used the chimney of the Atsumi Thermal Power Station as a landmark, and the camera position was adjusted while checking the mountains of Tahara City on Google Maps.

The point in front of the wind turbine is the point where the ship comes closest to the camera, and when you cross the windmill, you are in front of the goal.

I mainly used marinetraffic and findship to track the transport ship, but there is a slight gap between the current location display and the live camera image, so I thought it would be better to set a point and keep looking at the camera a little early. It was about 15 knots, but it was unexpectedly fast.

As an aside, the transport ship that my car was on called at Omaezaki Port in Shizuoka Prefecture after Toyohashi Port. I was.
