It was different from the coupe ~
It's like my "What's the story, that?" Series again.
My favorite car, the Black Carrera, is a Porsche 911 coupe type (991.2), so the roof does not open. And the other Porsche I have owned is the 991.2 GT3, which of course also has a roof that does not open.
Therefore, until February 2021, I had only experienced "911 with no roof" as my car.
But now, for me, the first experience of "opening the roof" 992 cabriolet! !!
When I delivered the car, I didn't dare to open the engine hood (engine compartment lid), so I hadn't even opened the engine hood when I was with the sales staff.
So, when I was alone, I said "Oh, open the rear too" and clicked the switch "Open the rear hood" on the side of the driver's seat here ↓
With the black coupe carrera that does not open the roof so far, the moment you click the switch to open this rear lid, you will hear the sound of the rear lid unlocking, and then you just need to raise (open) it manually was.
However, with this convertible 992 this time, even if you click this switch, the display will say "service flap open" like this, but it seems that the rear clicks and the lock is released. There is no.
Even if I go outside, the rear lid stays tightly closed and I can't open it.
Press and hold the convertible rear lid open
So, when I asked the sales person, "I want to open the rear engine hood part, but it doesn't open even if I click the switch," the answer is "hold down."
What?
Long press?
No, until now, when I was in a coupe, it opened the moment I clicked it?
At first, when I heard that, I thought, "What are you talking about?" (← terrible), but after getting that advice, I went back to 992 and pressed and held this rear hood open switch, no. Actually, if you try to prolong it ...
Ah ah ah ↓
opened! !!
What's more, unlike the coupe so far, it opened electrically! !! !! !! Hi, I'm sorry for the redneck again (laughs).
Indeed, if you think calmly, the structure of the coupe type and the cabriolet are different due to the part that closes the roof, so even if you thought "I want to open the rear lid", it is a way to make it easy to open in an instant. It's not.
After confirming that it can be opened with a long press, when I looked at the manual, it was written properly.
I think I heard a voice saying "I should have read the manual first", but maybe it's because of my mind ^^
By the way, the manual stated the following about when the rear lid open switch was pulled:
coupe: The engine compartment lid is unlocked and can be pulled up.
Cabriolet: The engine compartment lid (convertible top compartment lid) automatically opens to the service position.
Targa: The glass rear window opens automatically to the service position.
I learned one thing again this time ^^ It's a simple thing, but you can't understand it unless you know it.
Oh yeah, when I was taking a picture at this time, I happened to catch the moment when the display changed, so this is really irrelevant, but I will post it (laugh) ↓
There are still some things I don't understand, but I'm getting used to 992.
When I close the convertible top, sometimes the window doesn't go up until the end, but even at that time, I understand with love that I don't want to close the window today. It's becoming possible (is that okay (laughs)?).
