There is no such thing as asking "Please let me know if a good Boxster comes out" before encountering this Boxster.

Nevertheless, this 718 Boxster GTS (certified used car) that just happened to appear in front of me. When I was shown it, I was like, "Oh, this is it."

Dream Porsche left manual car

One of the reasons for the quick decision was that this Boxster had a left-hand drive manual transmission.

I learned MT driving for the first time overseas, and even when my car was an MT car (because it was overseas), it was a left-hand drive, so it is difficult to drive unless you shift gears with your right hand.

Therefore, only in the case of MT, I stick to the left handle (PDK is completely OK with the right ^^).

I've always wanted to ride Porsche's left MT someday, but in today's world, it's no longer possible to order various Porsche models, and even if you can order, the car really comes. It's a situation where you can't see at all if they will come or when they will come.

Somehow in me, there is a strange impatience that "the day may not come when you can enjoy Porsche's left MT as it is", and this Boxster that appeared in front of me at that time said, "I am on the left It's an MT, why don't you try riding it? It's fun?" I felt like he was saying that ^ ^

Even when I sat in the driver's seat before deciding to purchase, I felt like I was really convinced, and it was a quick decision.

It's really strange, but this Porsche was a car that had three things that I thought I wouldn't buy.

I would like to write about those three, but I am not denying each of them, so please do not misunderstand.

I think all the cars are very good, and I understand that each one has its merits. However, it is also true that each person has their own hobbies and preferences.

Based on that, the three things that I thought "I don't think I would buy for myself" are that the first one is not the 911.

It is true that I have had the opportunity to ride Porsche models other than the 911 several times, and every time I ride both models, it is the best! , I thought that it would be 911 to "buy" to actually ride.

And the second is that it is a red car.

Our past Ferrari was red, and my husband used to drive a red car, so of course I think red cars are cool. However, I thought that I would never choose red for myself. Because I always tend to choose only plain colors ... ^^

And the third. This was quite fatal for me, and that is "the hood is blue".

Of course, this is also a matter of personal preference, and there are former owners who ordered this car, and there are other red body + blue hoods, so I deny this combination. not.

However, no matter what color the body was, I liked the black hood, so I had a hard time accepting the red body and the blue hood.

When I thought about it carefully, even though I thought that three things "If I order myself, I wouldn't choose", even so, when I met this Boxster, I instantly said "I want to drive this car" There was myself who accepted it.

718 Boxster GTS, fun!

I went for a little drive on the day it was delivered, but first from my husband's driving. While driving, my husband seems to be having a lot of fun saying, "This is fun!"

After that, I tried running on the lower roads in Tokyo first, but... Umm, this, that, yes, it's fun! ! !

So much fun! !

fun! ! (I'm persistent (laughs)).

It was so much fun that I went on a 300km drive around Chiba Prefecture by myself as soon as it was delivered. It was fun~

At that time, I stopped by "Nagisa no Eki Tateyama".

Well, first of all, Boxster is very easy to drive, so I don't feel strangely nervous (I haven't had a terrible slope, so I haven't stalled yet (laughs)), what is it, really? You can drive naturally from the beginning.

It's smaller than the 911, so it's very easy to drive, and I'm sorry, I have zero vocabulary that I can't write anything concrete, but it's fun anyway.

It's fun, it's fun, and the feeling that comes out while driving is "Ah, Boxster is too cute!".

It's completely contradictory to what I said earlier, but at this point I'm starting to think, "This is red, so it's even cuter." The joy of driving Boxster is overflowing.

Porsche Boxster MT auto blipping first experience

My husband told me to try it because it will be auto-blipping in sports mode and above, and I also tried it.

I had never experienced auto-blipping in this Porsche MT by myself, so this was my first experience, but I was surprised again.

Even if I shift down without thinking much about it, Boxster will adjust it beautifully, is this a PDK? No shock at all.

Because it will automatically shift down so beautifully, there is a great risk of misunderstanding that "Maybe I am good at MT driving?"

Since I get used to it quickly, I would like to drive in normal mode without auto-blipping for a while. It's more fun that way.

I'm still at a level where I'm still running on the lower road, but even so, maybe because I'm used to downshifting with paddles on a PDK, I feel like I can shift down with less shock than I thought. bottom.

I really like the previous owner's attention to detail, and the GTS's Alcantara seats are intentionally made of crayon-colored leather and have seat ventilation.
