The theme for the 42nd installment is the Porsche 959.
The 42nd Porsche Moming Mission took place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, and its theme was the 'Porsche 959'.
This episode's "Morning Mission" is actually the "Night Mission," which takes place from 16:30 to 20:00.
Furthermore, the event was originally scheduled for August 11th, but due to the effects of the typhoon, the date was suddenly changed to August 16th.
I imagine that some people were unable to attend due to this date change, but conversely, since there was an additional call for applications, I'm sure some people were able to attend at the last minute.
On this day, automotive journalist Jun Nishikawa was the guest, and a talk session was held to explore the lesser-known charms of the Porsche 959, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
The event will feature valuable stories from 959 owners, as well as a special session with Octane Classic Car Research.
Other offerings included free driving simulator experiences and optional night demonstration laps on the handling track at dusk.

The next event, the 43rd in the series, will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, with the theme "Manthey".
"To know Manthey is to know the further possibilities of Porsche," they said.
A representative from Porsche Japan, who is in charge of the Manthey, will be introducing its philosophy, appeal, and the latest information.

And the next event after that will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, with the theme of "SUVs".
The application period for this morning mission is from September 23rd (Wednesday), but as of now (September 28th, 2026), the application button is not yet available on the official website, so I think it will open soon.

I wrote the above blog post on September 28th, but when I checked again today, the 29th, I found that the application site was open and the theme had surprisingly changed (lol), so I'm correcting it.
The morning mission on November 15th will be a 'BEV'. Please note that it is not an SUV!
