PEC Tokyo Lunch, see the 992 GT3 RS in action

Lunch at the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo

On this day, the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo (PEC Tokyo)morning missionwas held.

I didn't apply for the Morning Mission so I didn't participate, but I went to PEC Tokyo from noon on the day of the event.

The theme of this day's morning mission was "air-cooled."

When I arrived at PEC Tokyo, the morning mission had already ended, but there were still cars there that seemed to have been taking part in the morning mission.

Before arriving at PEC Tokyo, I thought that everyone on the morning mission had already gone home, so I was happy to see so many precious Porsches still left.

The reason I went to PEC Tokyo that day was for lunch.

Some acquaintances were taking part in a 90-minute driving session that day and then had lunch afterwards, so I joined them.

In addition to the three people I had heard would be there, I also met some other people by chance at the event that day, which made me think that PEC Tokyo is truly impressive.

PEC Tokyo is a place where Porsche lovers naturally gather even if they are not meeting up.

Watch and listen to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in action

The person who was with me that day was told by the instructor that "You can experience riding in a Porsche 911 (992.1) GT3RS," and the details were that "You will ride in the passenger seat of a GT3 RS driven by the instructor and go around PEC Tokyo three times."

What? Can I ride in the GT3 RS, even if it's just as a passenger?

...But the price for a three-lap ride is 18,000 yen. Wow. That's pretty expensive.

If it had been 8,000 yen I would have considered it (too stingy?), but at 18,000 yen I was too scared and ended up not being able to try it (lol).

Since it's three laps, I could only do a full lap in the middle...I started to think pettily.

However, on this day there were other people taking part in the ride, so I was able to see and hear the GT3 RS being driven by the instructor.

I'm very happy to see the GT3 RS running in front of me and hear the sound.

I'm grateful to everyone who took the opportunity to ride with me that day (although I guess it's a bit of a reliance on others (lol)).

PEC Tokyo Restaurant 906

After seeing the GT3 RS in action, we all had lunch together as planned.

On this day, which was a morning mission, lunch at Restaurant 906 was served buffet style.

For some reason, the buffet on this day had appetizers and desserts mixed together on the table, a unique style.

We were able to get a nice corner seat with a view of the trucks while we ate, so we enjoyed a delicious lunch, chatted happily, and occasionally watched the Porsches passing by directly below us.

Time flies when you're talking with everyone, including the people at PEC Tokyo.

It's always fun to talk about various Porsche stories, or interesting stories that are not related to Porsche ^^

I've written this many times before, but the people I've met through Porsche have given me new fun in my life that I didn't have before I knew Porsche, and I'm really grateful to have met them.

"Driven by Dreams".

I don't know exactly what my dream is right now, but I know for sure that Porsche has shown me many, many dreams.

Like always, we end up saying "Well, shall we go home now," and then we stop and chat again (laughs), and on this day, once again, it was time to go home, and then it was time to show us the car.

It's so fun that you'll forget about time.

After all, the car we had lined up was the 911 Dakar.

It also comes with a roof carrier, which looks cool!

Apparently, after adding the roof carrier, there was quite a bit of wind noise while driving, but I still think the Dakar looks much cooler with a roof carrier.

It was a long-awaited reunion with another Taycan.

I had just been wanting to see the Gentian Blue Metallic color, so this was a delightful encounter. It was a beautiful color.

What is the Porsche brake PSCB?

The brake calipers on this Taycan are white...yes, aren't these PSCBs?

PSCB = Porsche Surface Coated Brake.

This is a grey cast iron disc that has been given a tungsten carbide coating, which not only improves performance but also reduces brake dust, so it doesn't get too dirty.

In fact, there seems to be almost no brake dust. Indeed, the color of the calipers is white, so that's a sign of Porsche's confidence.

PSCB is great.

...We were shown a lot of things and talked about a lot of things before we disbanded.

I also made sure to check out the Somei-Yoshino cherry trees that were planted to commemorate the first anniversary of PEC Tokyo, which I check out every time I go to PEC Tokyo.

Apparently, this spring, 2024, it bloomed for the first time. Does it bloom in a year? I wish I could have seen it.

When I saw it that day, the cherry blossoms had already fallen, but I was able to see them growing big again.

Thank you for another enjoyable time today.

I always have a very enjoyable time with everyone. I am so happy to have met you through Porsche.
