``NISMO Festival 2023'' was held at Fuji Speedway on Sunday, December 3, 2023, so I went to see it.
I also have a Fairlady Z at home, so I'd like to see a Nissan event as well ^^
On this day, thankfully, I had a pass that allowed me to enter the event space area of the paddock earlier than its opening time of 8:00am, so I started by looking around the paddock before 8am.
In the paddock area, there will be exhibits from various Nissan/NISMO-related sponsors, manufacturers, and tuning shops.
Even though there were various Nissan cars and products on display, I had no idea what they were because of my lack of knowledge about Nissan/NISMO.
I've learned a lot about Porsche over the past few years, but I was completely ignorant about Nismo, so even though I was able to get into the paddock early and look around when it was empty, I couldn't help but wonder what was so great about it. I'm a complete pig and a pearl (maybe I'm using it a little differently?), not knowing if it's special or not.
I was walking along thinking, "Pearls for pigs...well, when I think of pigs, it's probably Ping Pig," and I couldn't help my Porsche brain.
Oh, there was also an exhibition of Magarigawa.
I was thinking of going again when it opened at 8 o'clock, but in the end I couldn't go.
There was also an EV cart experience area. Suitable for ages 2 to adults.
Kitchen cars are lined up at the back of the paddock.
There was already a nice smell in the morning ^^
In the pit in the back, historic cars running in the NISSAN MOTORSPORTS HERITAGE RUN race are waiting.
We were waiting for the names of famous racing drivers and the time when their historic cars would run.
In the A pit building, there are displays of past Skylines, GT-Rs, racing cars, and more.
Various Super GT cars and more.
I looked at everything, but I'm sorry I couldn't post all the photos. Meanwhile, it was 8 o'clock and many people were entering the venue all at once.
To my surprise, everyone dashed into the venue. It seemed like each of them had a particular shop they were looking for, and they were rushing to that shop at once.
In no time, there was a long line in front of the shop. amazing.
The paddock area was open and getting crowded, so I moved towards the event area.
There is also a kitchen car in the event area.
The area in front of the event square seemed to be a Skyline owner's parking lot, and there were many Skylines from the past lined up.
In terms of Porsche, I guess it would be like having air-cooled cars lined up side by side.
There were many people eagerly looking at each car and taking photos.
As I was wandering around, I came across a place called "Garage Sale."
This is an irresistible place for fans who can find many bargains, with parts and clothing used by professional racing drivers sold in actual races.
I thought it would be very crowded, but what? Is it because it’s first thing in the morning? Isn't it kind of ratty?
If this is the case, I don't really understand either, but I guess I'll take a look anyway.
I was an idiot for thinking that.
When I approached the place to try it out, I was told that the scheduled number of tickets for the day had already been distributed, so I had no choice but to line up from 12:00.
Ah, that's right, there's no way it's this empty. Sorry ^^
There were also long lines at the Nismo parts sale venue from the beginning of the morning.
There were long lines at the Nismo Collection and limited edition miniature car booths. It's still early in the morning, isn't it? ?
Well, if this was Porsche's ``Porsche Collection and Limited Edition Mini Car Booth,'' I think I would have been lining up from the beginning of the morning, so it makes sense that everyone would be lining up. Recognize.
In the stands in front of the FSW home straight, large NISSAN flags were waving and everyone was chanting "Nissan! Nissan! Nissan!" and you could really feel the passion of the Nissan (NISMO) fans. It was a great event.
The heat was really amazing.
Depending on the time, talk shows with GT500 drivers were also held on the stage.
I'm all about Porsche and Porsche, but when I was able to participate in a Nissan event like this, and I saw all the Nissan (NISMO) fans, I thought, ``Let's all support one thing.'' It's really wonderful that there are such passionate fans, and I think that because every manufacturer has such passionate fans, the manufacturers and their drivers can do their best too ^^
Events where people with a common passion for something come together are very moving, even for people like me who don't really understand it.
It's held at FSW, so of course there will be races.
Tsubasa Kondo wins the Nissan heritage car race↓
Oh yeah, and on this day I saw the "Circuit Safari" bus for the first time.
I had heard about it, but I had never actually seen a bus on the course.
It was an amazing experience to be able to see the machines running from inside the bus.
Whoever came up with this idea is pretty amazing. I don't think the drivers ever thought that the day would come when they would be running on the course with the bus.
I also saw a Z-Challenge exhibition race held, and as a ``first attempt,'' professional drivers were participating in the race and providing live commentary on the race. .
The person driving and providing commentary was Tetsuya Tanaka, who is also the chief instructor of Porsche Truck Experience.
While actually running, the participants would communicate in real time with Kazuki Hoshino and Ichi Hiramine, who were in the broadcast seats, giving a live commentary.
It was a different kind of fun than listening to the team radio during the race, and I thought it would be a very interesting experiment if it was an exhibition race ^^
Lastly, this has nothing to do with Nismo, but on this day I learned for the first time that there is a charging place for electric cars in Paddock B at Fuji Speedway.
I knew almost nothing about Nissan and Nismo, but at this event I was able to feel the passionate enthusiasm of many people for Nissan and Nismo, and I was able to feel the enthusiasm of many people for Nissan and Nismo. It was a very moving day with many things that resonated with me.
It was a very enjoyable time, as I was able to meet people I had previously met through my Porsche connections, and it was also a place where I was able to experience things I didn't know and things that were new to me.
