Purchased a Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS at Costco

Posted: February 9, 2026 Updated:

Maisto miniature car

This happened in the winter of 2025, when I happened to go to Costco again and saw that they were selling Maisto miniature cars, so I took a look and wondered if they had added any new models.

It was more like I was "looking around" rather than "searching," as I repeatedly took out boxes of miniature cars from various manufacturers stacked in the store, checked the boxes lined up in the back, and then put the boxes back...

The Maisto miniature cars sold at Costco are reproduced to look just like the real thing, and although they are large at 1/18 scale, they are inexpensive, so I am extremely happy that I can easily play with these cars in various ways after purchasing them.

Whenever Maisto's cars are sold at Costco, different models from different manufacturers are available depending on the sales period, so every time I come across a Maisto product, I seriously search for a new Porsche.

This is the story of the GT3 I bought at Costco last time and played with.Porsche 911 GT3 (992.1) has been delivered

and! !!

Here's the loot this time!

Wow, the 992.2 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS is already on sale!

There were other classic Porsches, but I like new things so I chose this one ^ ^

Look, it has a new look with vertical fins on the front, and it's equipped with a T-hybrid (although you can't see it)!

And this is probably shade green metallic, right? The lights are new too.

The front trunk can be opened, and the Targa top can also be opened.

I haven't opened the Targa top yet, so I apologize for not having any photos of it.

Even when you look at it from below, it's amazing how detailed it is!

No, I've never actually seen the 992.2 GTS from below, but I think it probably looks something like this:

The layout brings exhaust from both sides together in the center over an extremely short distance, reminiscent of a single turbo.

Just to be sure, I searched to see if there were any photos of the 992.2 GTS taken from below, but I couldn't find any good ones.

But doesn't this photo look similar? No? ThisA website about the exhaust of the 992.2 GTS that JCR is developing. The photos published in

The butt is also great.

I think I'll be able to use this GTS for various other things in the future.

Also, when I was looking for a Porsche, I happened to come across this car.

Wait, isn't that a Lamborghini Temerario? This is also new.

I also had the opportunity to test drive the Temerario, so I felt a sense of affinity with it and ended up buying it too.

I bought these miniature cars last winter, so I can't remember the price, but I think it was just under 3,000 yen. Anyway, for a 1/18 scale model with such high level of finish, this price is just amazing.

By the way, when I went to Costco the other day, they were still selling it, so if you're interested, head over to Costco to check it out!

Next, I immediately tried playing around with the GTS (?), so I'd like to write about that next time.

I'm still as rude as ever, so I'll apologize in advance, sorry (lol). See you next time.
