What is Porsche Technologies?
On October 21, 2026, Porsche announced a new brand, "Porsche Technologies."
This involves two organizations, "Porsche Engineering" and "Porsche Digital," which had previously operated separately, bringing together their respective expertise and know-how to develop businesses under a new brand.
Porsche Technologies will not only develop its own technologies but also provide them to other automakers and industries outside of the automotive sector.
Furthermore, Porsche Engineering plans to expand its range of services to its existing industrial clients by leveraging Porsche Digital's technology.
The official launch is scheduled for the beginning of the second quarter of 2027.
A new structure combining engineering and digital technology
Under its new structure, Porsche Technologies is responding to the evolving integration of traditional engineering fields, software, digital services, and customer interfaces, as well as the increasing complexity of technology and changing market needs.
The partnership will combine Porsche Engineering's expertise in vehicles, architecture, systems, and software with Porsche Digital's capabilities in digital products, services, and customer experience.
This joint portfolio expands our reach to customers in various industries, including automotive, commercial vehicles, aerospace, marine systems, defense, and medical technology.
Porsche Technologies carries on the tradition of the design firm founded by Ferdinand Porsche in 1931, and the current Porsche Engineering was born from that design firm.
Michael Steiner, Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of Management (Research and Development) of Porsche AG, commented as follows:
"Through Porsche Technologies, we aim to combine the best parts of two worlds, further refine their strengths, and develop them with a clear purpose."
"With its integrated service portfolio and proven expertise across a wide range of industries and regions worldwide, Porsche Technologies will continue to play a central role in both Porsche's strategic development activities and its business with other automotive and industrial customers."
This integrated portfolio enables comprehensive technology solutions across the entire development and product lifecycle, from initial ideas to hardware and software development and validation, and the operation of physical and digital products and services.
The consistent application and development of data and AI technologies will strengthen the entire value chain, optimize development processes and engineering toolchains, and enable innovative products and services powered by AI.
As mentioned above, the establishment of Porsche Technologies is scheduled for the beginning of the second quarter of 2027, and the management team will be as follows:
- CEO: Markus-Christian Eberl (current CEO of Porsche Engineering)
- CTO: Stefan Zerweck (current CEO of Porsche Digital)
- CFO and COO: Dirk Philipp (currently CFO and COO of Porsche Engineering)

Porsche Technologies will be an organization with offices in nine countries: Germany, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, Israel, the United States, and China, employing approximately 2,700 people.
This will create an integrated development network that connects our bases around the world and can respond to the needs of customers in each region.
This network will provide technology solutions that can be deployed around the world, while also addressing the specific requirements of local customers through a "local-for-local" approach.
In China, the joint integrated research and development center initiative already underway will continue under the Porsche Technologies brand.
With the establishment of Porsche Technologies, a new brand identity will also be introduced, visually representing the company's technological capabilities and commitment to innovation.
This new brand design is based on clear geometric squares, combined with dynamic graphic elements.

These graphic elements are said to represent expanding existing boundaries and enabling a wider range of challenges to be addressed through integrated solutions combining multiple technologies.
