Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey kit and Weissach package achieves a remarkable feat.

The 'Manthey Kit' is specially developed for track driving and is offered for Porsche's GT models.

The Manthey kit is a comprehensive performance package developed through close collaboration between engineers at the Porsche Development Center in Weissach and Manthey at Meuspath. It is designed to further enhance track performance without compromising everyday practicality, and now this kit is also being introduced to the Porsche Taycan, an electric vehicle.

The Taycan Turbo GT, already equipped with the Weissach package, has been further enhanced with this Manthey kit, reportedly raising its performance to an even higher level.

Well, even just the regular Taycan Turbo GT would be amazing, but it also has the Weissach package and the even more powerful Manthey kit. Incredible.

Incidentally, this Manthey kit for the Taycan Turbo GT will be available for order by the general public as an aftermarket kit starting in June 2026.

Fastest electric executive car record set: Taycan takes the top spot again.

The new Manthey kit for the Taycan Turbo GT is said to offer an unparalleled upgrade, successfully transplanting Manthey's DNA into an electric vehicle kit.

It was announced that a new record had been set on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The driver who set this new record was Porsche development driver Lars Kern. He consistently sets the fastest records and truly has an amazing knack for driving Porsches.

Lars's lap record for an electric executive car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife is 6:55.533.

Incidentally, the previous official record holder for the fastest lap time among electric executive cars was the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, with a time of '7:04.957'. *The prototype achieved an even faster time of 6:22.091, but that was in a different category.

This Xiaomi record surpasses the previous record of 7:07.55 set by a Taycan Turbo GT Weissach package, also driven by Lars.

This is how the records have been broken. I imagine Porsche must have been incredibly disappointed and shocked when Xiaomi easily surpassed their record for the first time.

I'm sure they've been working hard ever since with the goal of "defeating Xiaomi!", and now they're probably thinking, "Yay, I've surpassed him!" (though it's probably not that simple, haha).

Performance improvements with the Manthey kit

With this Manthey kit installed, the Taycan Turbo GT's downforce is said to be more than three times greater than the standard model thanks to extensive aerodynamic measures.

At 200 km/h, the total downforce increases from 95 kg to 310 kg (!). The Taycan Turbo GT with the Manthey kit is said to generate a total downforce of approximately 740 kg.

And this time, for the first time, the Manthey kit also includes powertrain adjustments, with optimizations to the high-voltage battery, control unit, and pulse inverter, increasing the maximum discharge current during operation from 1,100 amps to 1,300 amps.

As a result, the system output increases by 20kW to 600kW, and the maximum torque with launch control in use rises to 1,270Nm (plus 30Nm).

The 10-second power boost, known as Attack Mode, delivers up to 130kW, meaning the output temporarily increases from 700kW to 730kW during those 10 seconds.

The driving dynamics system has been retuned and designed to match the 21-inch Manthey-designed lightweight forged aluminum wheels developed for the Manthey kit, and the dedicated track tires (Pirelli P ZERO Trofeo RS).

These lightweight wheels, even including the titanium wheel bolts that further reduce unsprung weight, are said to be more than 3 kg lighter than the existing lightweight wheels on the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package.

Apparently, optional road-legal circuit tires are also available, and these tires are 4 cm wider at the front axle and 3 cm wider at the rear compared to the Turbo GT.

The new braking system, which offers even better deceleration performance, employs large discs (440mm at the front, 410mm at the rear) and high-performance brake pads.

The top speed increased from 305 km/h to 310 km/h, and Lars was reportedly 14 km/h faster than his previous record lap in the section between Lauda-Links and Bergwerk corners on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The main aerodynamic components of the Manthey kit are:

• New rear wing with enlarged endplates
• Optimized front diffuser
• High-performance rear diffuser with extended fins
• Large air deflector on the underside of the vehicle
• Carbon fiber aero discs on the rear wheel
