The Porsche 911 GT3 S/C, which was announced on April 14, 2026, also included the announcement of a "lightweight storage box for the rear cabin" that can be installed in the rear area of the vehicle's interior.
The original announcement stated that this was "available from Porsche shops," and it doesn't actually exist as an "option" that can be selected through the configurator.

The GT3 S/C features a black, removable, lightweight box that seamlessly integrates into its rear area, serving as a functional extension of the vehicle's concept and a secure storage option.
You can choose from 25 types of decorative stitching and 5 colors for the belt loops.

The front, sides, and surface are finished in black leather, and the interior lining uses high-quality lacetex.
The box is primarily constructed from lightweight yet sturdy foam plastic, with recessed grips on the front and rear for easy handling. It has a volume of approximately 80 liters and weighs less than 10 kg.
Since it connects with bolts fixed to the vehicle body, installation is said to be very quick and easy.
Rear box (street style)
The Street Style version comes in a box that matches the Exclusive Manufaktur Street Style package, featuring a slate gray finish with Indian red decorative stitching and belt loops.
The front, sides, and surface are made of leather, and the interior is lined with high-quality perforated lacetex.
As of April 15, 2026, the price for both the black and street style versions is listed as "please inquire."
When I think about why it wasn't available as an option from the start, I think it's because they were so focused on "lightweight design."
If you make it an option, it will be included in the "vehicle weight," but if you want to add it later on your own, go ahead, right?
That's probably why it's designed to be easily attached and detached. If there are no rear seats, a storage box like this seems more convenient and better.
Since it's a convertible, it's probably not a model solely focused on performance, so it's more about enhancing convenience for driving pleasure.
