BBQ dinner on the terrace
On the second day of GIRO Japan 2025, as I was returning to the hotel after a day of touring, I noticed signs for a "Private Event" posted around the area, and preparations for dinner for the second day of GIRO Japan were underway.

This evening's aperitivo and dinner will be held in this private event venue.
Bellinis were served for the aperitif that day. In my family, Bellinis are something we drink on special occasions, so I was happy to see them here.

Spend the time until dinner relaxing.
This time at GIRO, I was able to be with Cornes' new sales and marketing representatives, and it was great to have the opportunity to talk to them more than usual.
The sales person who brought us to the last GIRO has since left, but I am still very grateful to him for bringing us to GIRO in the first place and connecting us with the wonderful participants. Thank you very much.
I don't know if you've been reading my blog, but if you have, I'd like to let you know that we were all reminiscing about fun memories like, "Last year, we had drinks together, didn't we, xx-san?"

Now that the aperitivo is over, we head out to the terrace to start dinner on the second day.
The dinner table set up on the terrace is lovely, and the GIRO JAPAN letters lit up behind it are also cool.

It seemed to be projected onto a wall a short distance away that could be seen from the dinner seats, and the entire space had a GIRO JAPAN atmosphere, which was a wonderful presentation.

Dinner on this day was BBQ cuisine, and the food was actually cooked on several BBQ grills set up on the terrace.

The Hokkaido night was neither too hot nor too cold, with low humidity, making it a very comfortable day dining on the terrace.
I was near the BBQ grill so it was warm, but those further away might have found it a little chilly.
A GIRO Japan tradition: Fireworks just for GIRO Japan
The toast on this day was led by someone from Lamborghini Japan, and just before the toast they announced, "We'd love for you to take a photo of the toast, so please have your smartphone in your right hand and a glass in your left hand."
He repeated again, "Smartphone in your right hand, glass in your left hand!"
I wondered if the smartphone in his right hand was important, but when I prepared it as instructed, the man called out, "Well then, cheers!" for a toast.
Everybody say "Cheers!"

And at that moment.
I heard a "bang!" from behind me.
Wow. Amazing. At the moment of the toast, several beautiful fireworks were shot up from the courtyard, which could be seen from the terrace seats.

It was a sudden event, and we were all surprised and convinced that "Ah, the fireworks that are said to always be set off just for GIRO came at this exact moment!" We then raised a toast to the beautiful fireworks and sound that unfolded before our eyes.
And as you all guessed, we participants already had our smartphones ready in our right hands, as if we had known the fireworks would go off (lol), so even though they were a sudden sight, we were able to capture them in perfect photos.
This is all thanks to Lamborghini Japan's detailed toast style.

The courtyard was also lit up and looked very beautiful.

I had heard that the food on this day would be BBQ style, so I assumed that everyone would just help themselves to what was being grilled.
Because here's what was on the menu:
- Appetizers
- Seasonal salad from Niseko
- Raclette from Shintoku Town Inca Awakening Potato
- Iberian ham, Kutchan arugula
- Lobster
- Hokkaido Shishamo
- King crab
- Scallops with shells
- Tempura (zucchini with flowers, asparagus, young corn)
- Kutchan Jaga 540 Long-term Aged
- Zucchini, asparagus, eggplant
- Otaki Village Shiitake Mushrooms
- Shiretoko beef
- Makkari Herb Pork
- Shiretoko Chicken
- Shiranuka Town Charo Sheep
- Ezo venison
- Seafood bowl (tuna, scallops, sweet shrimp, flounder, salmon, salmon roe, Rankoshi rice)
- Pierre Herme Paris Desserts (Macarons, Hokkaido Cheese Tart, Hokkaido Cheesecake, Carrot Cake made with Hokkaido Carrots, Emotion Extravagant (Kutchan Potatoes/Lemon/Saffron, Strawberry Soft Serve Ice Cream))

When you see this many menu items, you would normally think, "These items are available, so I'll just pick the one I like," right?
GIRO is different.
All of this was brought out in front of us while we were seated (laughs).

This may not seem like a huge amount when you look at a photo of it all at once later, but if you take your time sipping your alcohol and this much is served, you'll end up feeling so full you'll think, "I can't eat any more!"
And at the very end, a seafood bowl was served as the final dish... I was so happy. But I would have liked to have at least this seafood bowl served the next morning.
Still, when I was eating the first seafood plate and thinking, "The lobster is delicious! The king crab is delicious!", the Hokkaido Shishamo fish was brought out and for some reason I had a momentary feeling like, "Huh? Is this my dining table at home?" (laughs).
Of course, this was a fine shishamo from Hokkaido, but for Japanese people, shishamo is still, how should I put it, shishamo (lol).

On this day, there was no pairing of drinks, and we were free to order from the drinks available.
During the tour that day, we passed through Yoichi city, and while riding we listened to the MC talk over the radio about Yoichi, the home of Nikka whiskey. At that time, he said, "It seems that Yoichi is becoming famous not only for whiskey but also for wine."
I heard that Yoichi wine would be available for dinner that day, so I decided to give it a try.

I think being able to try and enjoy a variety of local ingredients and drinks is something that is unique to GIRO.
During the meal, I was able to have many fun conversations with everyone who sat with me, and it was a wonderful evening.

Another afterparty
What's great about GIRO is that it starts with breakfast at 7:30am (I think?), but in the evening there's always an after-party after dinner, where you can drink until after 11pm.
Of course, the next day I wouldn't start driving much later, so the alcohol wouldn't be hanging over me by the time I got behind the wheel, but even so, I still spent my days partying hard from morning until late at night.
But I'm having so much fun driving this Lamborghini and having so much fun with all the wonderful people I've met through Lamborghini (laughs), that I don't have time to complain about being tired.

We then moved to the bar that had been prepared for GIRO.
Even though we had just had a lot of BBQ and desserts, there was still a lot of finger food and desserts served.
The people planning GIRO really seem to know what they're talking about, because the other day I spoke to someone who had attended an event related to another manufacturer, and they said that there wasn't much food at the event, and that ``when there's not enough food, the overall satisfaction level of the event drops dramatically.''
In comparison, the amount of food you get at GIRO JAPAN is just so satisfying (laughs).

This time, Yoichi whiskey was prepared, so of course I had Yoichi.
I had it as a highball and it had a really smoky aroma and was delicious.

Okay, so let's all cheers again here!
At the after-party that day, customers who have also been helped by Lamborghini Shiba gathered together for drinks.
Therefore, the people in charge of Lamborghini Shiba joined us. It was a rare opportunity to drink with everyone like this, and it was really great.

We were also able to make song requests to the DJ.
Everyone I met at GIRO Japan was wonderful and kind, and the conversations with everyone were always so enjoyable, so the GIRO event was not just about driving a Lamborghini, it was also a great opportunity to communicate with other owners, dealers, and people at Lamborghini Japan.

Surprise birthday party
The group, who were drinking at the Cornes (Lamborghini Lawn) table, also had a surprise in store for them that day.
Here it is!

It's a birthday celebration~
It turned out that one of the owners would be turning 60 shortly after GIRO, so part of the after-party became a birthday party.

A lovely birthday cake made with macarons.
We all shared the macarons because we were full (lol). They were so delicious. It was such a shame to have so many of them.
At night, the sky is filled with stars.
After much drinking, eating, laughing and having fun, we all said "see you tomorrow" and called it a day.
I had heard the day before that the night sky was beautiful, so when I got back to my room that day, I made sure to check the sky as soon as I got there.
The starry sky was so beautiful that it could be captured just by taking a photo with my smartphone.

I adjusted the brightness a little to make it easier to see, but still, don't you think it's pretty amazing to be able to capture this many stars with a smartphone?

The courtyard that can be seen from the room is also lit up and beautiful.

I somehow manage to take a shower and fall into a deep sleep, but wake up again early the next morning as the light outside gets brighter.

We'll continue next time, but this will be the final blog post on the third and final day of GIRO Japan 2025.
Thank you for your continued support ^^
