Ferrari Event CCES 3: Fuji Speedway main course running

Posted: November 1, 2018 Updated:

Cornes Circuit Experience 2018 Afternoon Program

Next, Ferrari "Cornes Circuit Experience'Secondo'About the Fuji Speedway main course driving lesson, which is the afternoon program of (CCES).

Even though this course of Fuji Speedway is led by an instructor, it is a luxurious experience to be able to run as a practice!

Fuji Speedway Main Course Driving Practice Briefing

After having lunch in the Crystal Room after the morning program (more on this separately), a briefing was held for the afternoon program in the Crystal Room, which is the place for lunch. About the circuit running of Fuji Speedway main course.

There was also a brief explanation of the basic rules of the circuit and the types and meanings of the flags.

There are various other precautions regarding this driving ... For example, do not overtake the person in front of you. For example, do not drive slowly, keep a distance from the car in front, and then accelerate at once. Don't ... talk about things like that.

In addition, as a request, "I want you to follow the running line of the instructor running at the beginning as much as possible and tell the running line to the following cars like a message game."

At the end, be sure to say Good Luck (laughs).

Since the instructor runs in a group of about 3 cars, the instructor looks at the 3 cars behind him in the rear-view mirror and checks the state of all the cars (whether he is following or not overdoing it). Etc.), he said that he would adjust the speed according to the situation.

It's amazing to drive on a fast circuit, teach participants the points of driving, give instructions, and grasp the situation of all the cars behind.

All accidents on the circuit are at your own risk

When I was told again, I thought, "I'm responsible for all accidents on the circuit," which was told at the very end.

For accidents on general roads, if you have an accident with the other party, which one is worse (which one is more responsible for the accident) is considered, but in the circuit, even if you are at all It's not bad, and even if my car is suddenly wrecked from behind, repairing my car, healing my injuries ... are all "self-responsibility = my payment".

The schedule in the circuit is punctual

Also, as this was said in the morning, the time schedule for "renting" a circuit like Fuji Speedway is very strict, and "I've pushed a little time, so I'll extend it a little more." It is said that it can never be done, and if the time runs out at the end, the result is that the people in the last running frame will not be able to run.

So, anyway, please keep the schedule on the circuit "punctually", so everyone will act punctually and punctually.

Let's go to the Fuji Speedway main course with Ferraris!

Since it is a circuit run on the FSW main course, all drivers are required to change into a racing suit (or long sleeves & long pants) and wear a helmet and gloves to participate in the program in the afternoon.

* The morning programs were held in a "parking lot", so no helmet was required.

By the way, finally put the car in this course ... Finally run! So, I was thinking of going to the shooting team from here ...

What! !! Only the [1st time] of this course run is "accompanied by companion is OK". Oh! !! !! It will have no choice but to ride! happy!

Until now, I have run this course of Fuji Speedway several times (← in the passenger seat ~), but since all of them were parade runs and family driving, so-called "real" I haven't had the experience of "running the FSW circuit at high speed."

My husband put out 273km on the FSW home straightI was so jealous that I definitely wanted to experience that kind of experience ...!

For the first time, I borrowed a helmet and gloves and ran on the circuit with a helmet and gloves on (← but it's the passenger seat!). Hmmm, I'm looking forward to it too much!

The instructor driver runs in front of our car, and after that, about 3 Ferraris run. Running with only 3 cars is a tremendous luxury.

Ah, the yellow curing tape attached to the front of the car is a data logger that collects data when driving on the circuit. Sorry for the unsightly ...

By the way, the run started immediately, but when I started running, the instructor gave instructions such as "Hi, braking from about 50 here" or "It feels like stepping on a curb here", so it was very easy to understand. is.

The first circuit run was also for warming up, and it seemed that there were quite a few riders with passengers, so the instructor also

"Let's go without overdoing it first"

So, even on the home straight, the speed is a little over 200 km. Braking also feels like stepping on from around the Panasonic gate, which is just before the end of the straight.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !! !! I wanted to experience the speed close to 300km more and more ~~~! !! Sorry (tears).

Well, it can't be helped ... The only way to experience a speed of nearly 300 kilometers is to drive on the circuit yourself. Hah. The hurdle is high! But with GT3, that speed will come out ... sometimes…? ?? No, no, I can't drive on the circuit (laughs)! !!

So, although it is a run on this day, you can experience running at a faster speed than before in the corners and other corners other than the home straight, and on the straight, it is a little 200 km of Ferrari California T. It was fun because I was able to experience driving beyond!

The empty circuit ... was too lonely

From the second run, I can't ride with my companion, so I said goodbye to my husband, "See you in Tokyo again!" My husband stays on the circuit and waits for the next run.

I wanted to go out from there and take a photo of the run once before returning, so for the time being, I aimed for an advan corner because it was a nearby shooting point from the paddock.

Since this course was a chartered event for Ferrari and Lamborghini, the participants are in places according to their respective programs, so people like me who leave the event alone and head to the Advan corner as a visitor. There is nothing.

The gate to enter the Advan corner from around the restaurant "ORIZURU" in the paddock was also closed, so I couldn't enter the lawn of the Advan corner from near the paddock.

What is this, an advan corner in a chartered state with nobody. ... I'm a little lonely.

If I went a long way, I went around to the lawn, but I didn't have the energy to walk there, so if I just turned around, I walked to this area ↓ (in writing for those who know FSW). I'm sorry), I decided to visit through the low fence.

Really, until the cars are driving on the circuit, they are not running as a single car, the area is sloppy, there is no one behind, on the lawn and road around the Advan corner. Nobody is here.

For a short while, I fell into the illusion of being alone on the Fuji Speedway.

It seems that I felt nothing. For a moment, what am I doing alone in the middle of this empty, silent circuit?

But though. When I felt such an unrealistic feeling of "one person on the Fuji Speedway", I began to hear sounds from a distance, and Ferrari and others were running one after another in a blink of an eye. I was brought back to reality at once.

This time, I was not in the grass area of the Advan corner, I was shooting from a distance, and I was suddenly pulled back to reality from an unrealistic feeling of nothingness, so I could not shoot properly, so it is very good. Not the photos, but some of the photos I took. * The resolution has been lowered.

Moreover, until the very end, I was shooting the camera (EOS 5D Mark III) in just manual mode.

Even with the same manual focus, I couldn't do so-called "follow shot" unless I set the shutter priority mode (Tv mode), but I completely forgot about that. Oh, I've done it.

In a hurry, I thought I'd take a panning shot with shutter priority only for the last few shots ... but I was in a hurry and it wasn't good (tears). It was the last day when I thought that I should practice shooting more seriously.

Finally, while really watching these Ferraris running and listening to the sounds, all the Ferraris went out to the circuit and the paddock saw the rattle like this.

Feeling the ephemeral feeling that a fun day is over, I feel a little lonely about the loneliness of the paddock, which was gorgeous until a while ago.

There isn't even one in the Lamborghini area ...

At the end, I walked alone to GT3, who was waiting for me, feeling a little sentimental because I enjoyed the Fuji Speedway, which was a little quiet and rattled from the morning.

Thank you for Porsche who is waiting for me properly ^ ^. It's supposed to be my car, but every time I meet, I feel a touching reunion with the car, and I'm too suspicious (laughs).

"Well, let's go home together!", Leaving Fuji Speedway ahead of the other participants.

…so.

I left FSW at 15:00, so as promised, I got stuck in a traffic jam and came back with GT3 and Noronoro. Ah, I wanted to run on my way home!

Oh yeah, after all, in the circuit driving practice towards the end of my husband, although there is an instructor's lead, is it 271 km on the home straight? It seems that I was able to put it out.

No, it's the best! When I saw Ferrari running firmly on the circuit, I thought that Porsche GT3 would be bad if I didn't run it more properly.

So, finally, let's continue with hospitality & other things such as lunch at this event!
