Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono
After refueling, we headed to the hotel where we would be staying during this GIRO Japan.
The last time I went to Okinawa, I stayed in different places for the first and second nights, but this time I stayed in the same place for both nights, so it was convenient as I could leave my luggage there.

Here is the accommodation we arrived at:Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono"is.

Park Hyatt Niseko is probably packed with people in the winter, but since it was a weekday outside of ski season, it wasn't crowded at all.

As soon as we entered the hotel, we found the reception desk for GIRO Japan participants, where we received our room keys and then headed to our rooms.

However, Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is incredibly spacious.
It's fine to just follow the directions, but before you know it, you'll find yourself wondering, "Hmm, which way did this come from? When did I turn? Which elevator did I get on?" and not knowing how you got from the entrance to your room.
We said goodbye to the other participants who had been with us until part way through, saying, "Let's meet again later if we can find our way to the dinner venue without getting lost" (laughs).

And this is the room where I stayed.
Suite with kitchen/dining area.

The panoramic windows offer a magnificent view right before your eyes.

There is an open-air bath just outside the bedroom. It's the best.

The room was already stocked with Baumkuchen, special GIRO Japan 2025 name tags (engraved with the name of each participant), and souvenirs from Lamborghini and TOD'S.

Other gifts included potato chips and strawberries.
Even though a food fight was about to begin, she couldn't help but pick at the strawberries.

After a quick enjoyment of the lovely room, we quickly get ready for dinner and head to the dinner venue.
Now, where did it come from? (lol)

I head to the dinner venue through the hotel, following my vague memories of where it was, thinking "This is it, right?"

There was also a private dining room with a wine cellar along the way. Nice.

As we wandered around, we met up with other participants and somehow managed to reach the dinner venue, saying things like "You came from over there, right?" and "Was it that way?"

Day 1 Aperitivo & Dinner
There was also an aperitivo area set up where we could enjoy a light aperitif before dinner, so we started by having a light toast.

This is where the drinking begins...

What's more, they serve a variety of delicious looking finger foods, which make it hard to resist trying them.

After the aperitivo, it was time for dinner to begin, so the staff guided the participants to the dinner venue.
We followed the directions to the dinner venue, and there it was.
Hmm, nice.
The white smoke billowing out is illuminated by the headlights, and behind it you can see the words Esperienza GIRO JAPAN and the Lamborghini logo, creating a truly fantastical sight.

Our seats had been decided in advance, so we just sat where we were told to.

We dined by candlelight in a slightly dark setting in a Lamborghini.

The dinner started with a taiko drumming performance by the chairman of the Sapporo-based Fuyuki Taiko group.

Lamborghini Japan really loves taiko drums. Hehehe.
Maybe it's a personal preference? Taiko drums are included in most events.

Following the start of dinner with the beat of taiko drums, highlights from GIRO Japan from 2021 were shown on the screen at the back.
In my case, we participated in 2024, so when the video of Okinawa in 2024 was shown, I thought "That brings back memories." I think that those who have participated several times in the past felt the same when they saw the video of the year they participated.

After the video, there was a toast from Paolo, CEO of Lamborghini Japan.
Paolo said that seeing everyone's smiling faces made him think that they were enjoying themselves...and then, without any warning, he suddenly shouted, "Cheers!"
No no no, everyone had been listening to Paolo's talk without even picking up their glasses, so when the sudden toast came, everyone hurriedly picked up their glasses and started to toast (laughs).
This was probably the fastest toast ever. It was funny (lol).

Afterwards, the restaurant's Italian chef gave a greeting and explained the dishes, and then the meal began.

This is what dinner looked like that day.

All the wines were paired with the dishes.
In Okinawa, we were served so much delicious wine that the waiter kept pouring us, saying "Drink as much as you like!", but this time it was a more relaxed atmosphere, with just one glass of each type for each dish.

In the middle of the meal, a woman began performing using an Ainu instrument called a tonkori.

Then the drums start again...

Next up was the Yosakoi team,Hiragishi Tenjin"'s performance.

They performed the piece that won them the Yosakoi Soran Grand Prize at the competition held in June 2025, and it was a powerful and impressive performance worthy of an award winner.
Watching this made me feel happy and energized too ^^

Afterparty: Mountain Lounge
After finishing our meal and watching the wonderful performances, we were already pretty full, but the after-party was held in a rented lounge, so we headed there for some more drinks.

The event will also feature music provided by a DJ, another Lambo special.

Even though I was completely full, here too we were served not only alcohol but also plenty of fig food.

From the first night onwards, we ate and drank a lot, making new friends and having a great time with people we hadn't seen last year until late into the night.
I am well aware that the people I meet at GIRO are all incredible people that I would normally be honoured to have the opportunity to associate with, but still, everyone was truly wonderful, and I was able to spend a dreamlike and enjoyable time with them.
GIRO is truly stimulating in many ways, and it makes me happy and happy. I am very grateful. Thank you!
So, although it's long, let's continue with Day 2.
