On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the weather forecast predicted that the temperature in Tokyo would reach a maximum of 20°C.Tokyo Marathon 2025was held.
I was really looking forward to this year's Tokyo Marathon.
The first thing to enjoy is seeing the lead cars driven by Porsche, which is an official partner of the Tokyo Marathon.
The first lead car was the Taycan.
In order to see the Taycan, I had to watch the lead pack of the marathon arrive, so I calculated how many minutes after the 9:10 start time the lead pack would be able to reach my location and waited.
I was waiting patiently, but wow, as expected of the Taycan. It's an electric car, so it doesn't make any noise (laughs).
If you look away for a moment, you'll see it dash away right in front of you.
Still, I'm glad I managed to see it just in time. It's cool.
Moreover, the lead car this time was the Taycan, a Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package!
Following the lead pack of the marathon, the electric Macan appeared.
I've been waiting for this. As the words "Macan electric" on the side say, this is also an electric car, so it's very quiet.
And, of course, since they don't emit exhaust fumes, it's great that they're electric cars running between the marathon runners.
While the other people along the road were busy cheering on the runners, saying "Goodbye, Macan," I continued to follow the Macan.
The EV Macan in a different color has also arrived.
I'm so happy to see a Porsche at the Tokyo Marathon. It's really cool.
It was a very satisfying Tokyo Marathon as I was able to encounter the Taycan and Macan EV, but this time there was one more thing to look forward to.
The second thing I'm looking forward to is that the Porsche salesman who introduced me to my beloved black Carrera is driving it.
I waited, wanting to see it and show my support.
I was watching the event while chatting with the volunteer lady next to me, so when the sales person approached, I told her, "Please look for the two men wearing gray T-shirts!!" and we waited together and had fun.
But, this is really hard to find!!
They run past in front of you in an instant, so if they're dressed plainly it's very difficult to spot them from a distance.
This time I managed to meet him and he said to me, "Good luck!", so I was glad, but I was in such a hurry that I couldn't take any photos or videos...what a shame.
If you appear again next time, I would like you to dress like this. The Mario guy even has a mushroom in his hand ^^
It was a shame that I couldn't take a photo of the salesman, so I thought I'd find the turning point again, and hurried to the turning point, but even though I knew it was going to happen, I just couldn't cross the road.
The only way to cross the road is to find a pedestrian bridge somewhere or go through the subway station, so even if you just crossed the road in front of you and wanted to get to that place right in front of you, it was much more difficult than you'd think.
I was just running along the side of the road, glancing at the other runners.
However, I still couldn't cross the last main road (if I started looking underground from here, the sales person would have come running over), so I had no choice but to look from the other side, but there were just too many people and I couldn't find it!
But I guess my feelings of support were conveyed, so I went home satisfied for the time being.
In the end, the sales person was able to run all the way to the finish line. Amazing!
I had a lot of fun at this year's Tokyo Marathon, chatting with the volunteers, talking to people from overseas who were nearby, and even meeting the Macan EV, Taycan Turbo GT, and sales people.
Porsche will still be an official partner next year, so I'll go see it if I have the chance.
