Compatible with 911 F, G, 964, 996 models (also for Boxster 986)
I don't know much about classic Porsches and I don't always look up information about them, so I had no idea about them, but on February 25, 2025, I received a notice from the Porsche mailing list saying, "LED headlights now available for Porsche Classics." This is how I learned that LED headlights were released as genuine parts for classic Porsches.
However, when I looked into it, I found that it was already featured as a "New Product from Porsche Classic" in the 10th issue of "ORIGINALE", a Porsche specialty magazine launched in November 2024, so it turns out that it has actually been around since last year.
The LED light that was announced in the email is this one:
There were two types of parts available to replace halogen lights with LEDs.
Porsche H4 LED: for 911 F, 911 G and 911 964 models
The first one is this one
- Porsche H4 LED
- Part number: PCG631134H
This is a genuine replacement part for the following models:
- 911 F-Model (1972-1973)
- 911 G-Model (1974-1989)
- 964 series (1989-1994)
Porsche H7 LED: For Boxster 986, 911 996
The second one is this one
- Porsche H7 LED
- Part number: PCG631137H
This is a genuine replacement part for the following models:
- 986 (1997–2004)
- For 996 (1998-2005) and Facelift (2002-2005) models using adapter (part number PCG631138H) except for GT2
In other words, this is a replacement part for the teary-eyed one.

No, maybe it's the other way around. Did RUF release it for the 993 model because Porsche didn't have one?
Hmm, I don't know much about classic Porsches, so I don't understand why only the 993 model is not offered as a genuine Porsche with these LED replacement parts.
