Porsche has this to say about these two models:

- New Taycan GTS: A sporty all-rounder with a unique design
It was introduced as follows:
Now let's take a look at the details of what was announced this time.
- The Taycan will be significantly redesigned in early 2024 with sharper design, higher power output, improved range and better charging capabilities.
- Two new versions have been added to complete the Taycan version family of 11. (*Three new versions have been added overseas, making the Taycan a total of 16 versions.)

- With a maximum output of 515kW when using launch control, the GTS is the sportiest model apart from the turbo model.
- The new Taycan GTS will be offered as a sports sedan
- Additionally, the entry-level sports sedan is now available with all-wheel drive for the first time.
New body colors available for all Taycan models
- New exterior colors are available for all Taycan models. The new colors include:
- Legend Category: Slate Gray Neo, Pale Blue Metallic

- Kevin Giek, vice president of Model Line, said:
- With the extremely wide Taycan range, Porsche meets a wide range of customer demands and mobility needs
- The two latest innovations (two models announced today / three models overseas) demonstrate this exceptional breadth.
- The first-generation Taycan GTS has already established itself as an iconic sporty model in the Taycan series, positioned between the Taycan 4S and the Taycan Turbo, and the new model is no exception.
- The Taycan 4 sports sedan combines the efficiency of an entry-level model with the excellent handling of four-wheel drive.
- The new model will feature all of the numerous design, technology and equipment enhancements that Porsche introduced when it updated the Taycan in early 2024.
- Surpasses its predecessor in almost every area
- New model offers more power, longer range, faster acceleration and charging times and improved stability
- All Taycan versions now come with even more standard equipment and the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience
- Several factors improve both performance and efficiency:
- All models feature an advanced powertrain with a new rear axle motor that delivers up to 80kW more power than the previous model
- Improved pulse inverter with optimized software
- more powerful battery
- Improved Thermal Management
- Next generation heat pump
- Improved recuperation and 4WD strategies
- Maximum regenerative performance when decelerating from high speeds has been improved to 400kW
New Taycan GTS: the sporty all-rounder
- GTS stands for "Gran Turismo Sport"
- Ever since the 1963 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS, these three letters have held a special place in the hearts of Porsche enthusiasts.
- The Taycan model series also features a version of this legendary alphabet combination.
- (Overseas, the new Taycan GTS is available in two models: "Sport Sedan" and "Sport Turismo.")
- When using launch control, the Taycan GTS can deliver up to 515 kW of overboost power, 75 kW more than the previous model.
- The new Push-to-Pass function, included with the standard Sport Chrono Package, allows the driver to call up a boost of up to 70kW for 10 seconds at the touch of a button. (This function is only available when the vehicle is traveling at a speed of 5km/h or more, the battery temperature is 10°C or more, and the SoC is 30% or more.)
- In the Taycan GTS, the Push-to-Pass function also has a particularly sporty character, as torque increases to launch control levels even at low speeds.
- Like the Taycan Turbo GT, boost is displayed by a countdown timer on the instrument panel and dynamically enhanced by an animated ring on the speedometer.
- The new Taycan GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than the previous model) and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.4 seconds (1.6 seconds faster than the previous model).
- Range has been increased by more than 120km to a maximum of 628km (WLTP).
- More distinctive sound characteristics, similar to the Taycan Turbo S, have been added to better express the exhilarating character of the GTS.
- This sound characteristic sets it apart from other Taycan models.
- The exterior and interior are equally unique.
- Numerous details in black and anthracite grey on the exterior are specific to the GTS.
- Compared to the predecessor model, the Taycan GTS now features sport design front and rear aprons with black (high gloss) inlays.
- The exterior mirror base is also black (high gloss).
- The standard Taycan Turbo S Aero Design wheels (20 inches) and the optional RS Sport Design wheels (21 inches) are both painted in anthracite gray exclusively for the GTS.
- Many of the interior materials are taken from the Taycan Turbo GT model.
- For example, the Taycan GTS comes standard with a sporty Race-Tex scope extension and black smooth leather elements.
- Also included as standard:
- Adaptive sports seats plus (18-way electric adjustment)
- GT multifunction sports steering wheel with mode switch and heated steering wheel
- Sport Chrono Package including Push-to-Pass function and Circuit Mode
- BOSE Surround Sound System
- The GT multifunction sports steering wheel, familiar from the Taycan Turbo GT, is equipped with two mode switches and paddles for push-to-pass function and energy recuperation and is also available in black Race-Tex on request.
- The optional GTS interior package adds Slate Gray Neo to the Carmine Red color.
- The meter panel, power meter and start graphic feature the "Taycan GTS" logo.
- The GTS-specific chassis and optional rear-axle steering give the car a particularly sporty look.
- The adaptive air suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is now standard in combination with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus).
- Porsche Active Ride Suspension Control system tuned specifically for the GTS is available as an option.
- Optimal and individual load distribution on each wheel ensures near perfect contact with the road under dynamic driving conditions
- Porsche Active Ride Suspension Control system improves comfort in everyday driving situations
New Taycan 4: the most efficient all-wheel drive Taycan
- Following the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, which combines high efficiency with 4WD, the new Taycan 4 sports sedan's performance is equivalent to that of the Taycan base model.
- Depending on whether the standard Performance Battery or the optional Performance Battery Plus is fitted to the underbody, up to 300 kW or 320 kW of overboost power can be achieved when using Launch Control.
- The driving range also varies depending on the type of battery, with a maximum of 559km when using a Performance battery and up to 643km when using a Performance Plus battery (both WLTP).
- These two versions boast the longest range of any four-wheel drive model, just 35km behind the corresponding Taycan models.
- Equipped with one electric motor on each front and rear axle, the Taycan 4 offers greater driving stability and improved traction than the rear-wheel drive Taycan.
- This is also reflected in the acceleration figures, with the Taycan 4 accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the rear-wheel drive model, despite its 80 kg heavier weight.
- Porsche has been refining its all-wheel drive strategy throughout the model cycle and the new Taycan 4 also benefits from optimisation to achieve greater efficiency.
- This means that the front electric motor is electrically decoupled as far as traction, driving dynamics and driving stability permit, and is switched on within milliseconds only when needed, for example during acceleration or recuperation.
- The exterior comes standard with:
- 19-inch Taycan aero wheels
- black brake caliper
- LED Matrix Headlights
- Porsche Traction Management (PTM)
- Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)
- The interior comes standard with:
- Front comfort seats (8-way electric adjustment)
- Black partial leather trim
- Dark Silver Accent Package
- Leather multifunction sports steering wheel
- Silver Brushed Aluminum Door Entry Guards
- Sound Package Plus
- The partial leather interior is available in a two-tone version in black/chalk beige as well as slate grey.

- In response to customer requests, Porsche Japan has begun introducing left-hand drive specifications for the new Taycan GTS, Taycan Turbo, Taycan Turbo S, and Taycan Turbo GT (including vehicles equipped with the Weissach package) in addition to the existing right-hand drive specifications.
