There are various flavors, but my favorite is the spicy one called "Flamin' Hot". But this is not sold in Japan, so I can't buy it.

Every time I went to America, I used to eat the biggest bag every day, but since the outbreak of Corona, I haven't been able to go to America, and it's been a few years since I met Doritos.

But this time, after several years, I was finally able to meet my beloved Doritos! ! Be Flamin' HOT! I'm so happy~ (crying)!

By the way, some of you may think that there is no "Flamin' Hot", but you can buy a normal red one in Japan.

No, that's the difference.

It's true that supermarkets in Japan that carry a lot of foreign products (even ordinary supermarkets) are increasingly handling Doritos, and the reason why we're seeing Doritos with English descriptions on the package is that fact.

However, if you look at the back of the Doritos sold in Japan, the part circled in yellow (the part where the ingredients are written) should be in Japanese.

The front is written in English and looks like something from overseas, but the back is in Japanese.

Regarding this difference, I think that "the taste is different" as well as the difference in the package.

I haven't been able to eat local food in the last few years, so I don't know, but at least it was different until a few years ago.

It is the beginning that this blog will finally change the Porsche blog and become a Doritos blog (laughs), but why I was able to get American Doritos this time is Porsche!

No, the reason is Porsche.

Yes, this time a person who is a Porsche mechanic in the United States came to Japan for sightseeing, so it is this Doritos in the United States that I received as a souvenir from that person ^ ^

Oh happy I'm happy with Doritos before I talk about Porsche with the mechanic.

If I were to add even more forcefully, the local Doritos that I received from the Porsche mechanic, Porsche and Doritos are already the best, and I am so excited that I do not understand what I am saying at all.

...Furthermore, a friend of the mechanic (not a Porsche mechanic, but a car-related worker) said, ``I heard that you like Flamin' HOT, so I bought it because I thought you might like it.'' I even got some sweets.

Even though it's a snack, is it blue? blue? ! And it's painful.

I had never seen this sweet called Takis before, so I asked, "Is this a new product in the last few years?"

I've never seen that before. A new world will open again.

Sorry for talking about Doritos in over 1,000 characters (laughs). But I'm really happy, I'm so happy that I started with the Doritos report.

Now let's get to the heart of the matter.

This time, the Porsche mechanic (let's say Mr. Mecha) will stay in Japan for about two weeks.

From the night we arrived in Japan, we had two hours of tea and conversation at Starbucks, and since I'm quite an anime otaku, we went to Akihabara to look for figurines together (laughs). I enjoyed a lot of things over the two weeks.

At Kanda Myojin, we will explain how to pray "two bows, two claps, one bow", and the meaning that using "5 yen" for the offering will lead to "good luck".

In addition, while explaining the ema, Akihabara is also famous for votive tablets with anime characters written on them, so I enjoyed looking at them as well ^^

When I explained Japanese culture, I was able to notice things that I didn't fully understand, so that was also a good thing.

English tour at the Porsche Experience Center

In addition, we enjoyed various things in Japan together, such as eating ramen, conveyor belt sushi, and deep-fried skewers. I would like to write about one.

The first is a visit to the Porsche Experience Center Tokyo.

Mr. Mecha has been to Atlanta's PEC 7 or 8 times already, so I thought he might be surprised by the small scale of Japan's PEC compared to Atlanta, but it's a PEC. to Tokyo.

By the way, I wish I could go back and forth to PEC Tokyo by Porsche, but when it comes to carrying two American men (plus me and my husband), I thought it would be a good idea to push them into the 911. (Laughs), the car is BMW.

Even if I have guests, I will not forget to refuel at Costco Kisarazu near PEC Tokyo. It is overwhelmingly cheaper than in the city ^ ^

On the day I went to PEC Tokyo, three of my acquaintances (unrelated to us) were also going to PEC Tokyo.

I am very grateful for the existence of PEC Tokyo, where Porsche friends can easily gather, like this "Huh? Are you going to PEC that day? Then go on that day!" I thought it would be nice if it became a place where people could ask each other out, such as "Would you like to go out to eat?"

Three Porsche 356 Speedsters

When I arrived, PEC Tokyo on this day was like a museum where three Porsche 356 Speedsters were on display at the same time.

What a nice day you went.

These three 356 speedsters were made possible by the cooperation of the Porsche 356 Club of Japan.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the "Porsche 356", which was created in 1948, and this year is a grand celebration. It was a very emotional and happy event that I was able to do it.

This time, a Porsche technician from the United States is coming to Japan, so when I asked PEC Tokyo if I could have a tour in English, the director of the museum gave me an English tour on this day. So that means.

Thankfully, I had an English tour of PEC Tokyo ^ ^

After all, I myself was not confident that I could translate the technical terms of cars and the English about Porsche perfectly, so it was really very helpful.

I even got a coloring book from the kids corner (laughs).

There was a book about Michelin's Bibendum-kun, so I thought, ``Bibendum-kun on the cover is kind of scary,'' so I looked inside, but... the past Bibendum-kuns inside were even scarier (laughs). ).

Off-road experience with PEC Tokyo Cayenne

In addition, the acquaintances mentioned above said that they would experience GT3 and Cayenne on this day, so it was nice to be able to see them ^ ^

I couldn't shoot the GT3, but I could shoot the Cayenne.

You can also see the off-road experience corner, and just looking at it will make your heart pound.

You can go down a tremendous slope and experience a seesaw.

I think that people who are actually driving are several times more difficult than watching this. I don't think I can do it.
