DDR of racing simulator shop in Akihabara
I've heard that there are places in Akihabara where you can enjoy racing simulators, but I haven't been there yet, so I stopped by when I got a little closer the other day.
that isA store called DDR..
When I wonder what DDR stands for, it's not the name from the cool English acronym, but the "Dare Demo Racer". It feels like a gap (laughs).
When I asked the shop's older brother for an explanation, he said that if he went to the shop and the simulator was available, he could enjoy it immediately.
If you register as a free member (no annual membership fee etc.), you can start from 1,000 yen for 10 minutes, and in my case I will go with my husband, so I plan to charter one simulator for 1 hour ( It turned out that 4,000 yen / h) is a good deal.
I think it would be quite tiring to continue running for an hour without a break on a fairly full-scale simulator, so I thought it would be good for two people to charter for an hour at home ^^
When I heard the story, I wanted to try it, so I went home the day I heard the explanation and went to play again on another day.
Racing driver Katsumasa Chiyo
Then guess what?
I just wanted to play with the simulator for a while, so I just stopped by with a rather unplanned idea.
I met Katsumasa Chiyo, a racing driver, in the DDR store! !!
Speaking of Mr. Chiyo, he is also the driver of Porsche Team EBI Waimarama who supported me at the Super Taikyu 24 hours at Fuji Speedway the other day, and for me it is a person I meet on the spot, so I feel close to myself. Those who have.

I was really nervous about the accidental encounter (laughs). It's just too much.
Yes, this is Chiyo-san!
I took a two-shot shot.
Here is it. Jan ↓
What?
what?
Is that a panel?
no.
Yeah, is that so?
Was Chiyo-san, who I met at DDR, a photo panel?
Well, everyone reading this, are you thinking, "I'm saying this person is crap again" right now?
Do you think that you take a picture with a life-sized panel and write "I met Chiyo-san!"
That's why you think your aunt doesn't like it, right? (No, you don't have to say that much!)
Huh.
Well then, how about this! !! (For some reason it's challenging (laughs)).
Don ↓
Fufufufu ~. It's amazing ~ (I'm proud of this time (laughs))!
I really happened to meet Chiyo-san on this day.
I was excited and said, "Super Taikyu, I was cheering for you in the Crystal Room!"
Chiyo-san, it seems that he was preparing for the event at this DDR at a later date. I'm really lucky to meet you by chance at that time. I was happy ^^
Run the Fuji Speedway with a racing simulator
By the way, I met Chiyo-san and got excited, so I tried running with a racing simulator.
I don't usually drive on the circuit, but I still have the goal of being able to drive the Fuji Speedway faster (for myself).
Therefore, it is also the main course of Fuji Speedway to practice here.
When the car runs on its own, it will be the Porsche 911 base model Carrera, so I chose the Porsche 911 Carrera S, which seems to be the closest to it among the options in this simulator.
As a result, the best time of the day was 2: 04.858. By the way, the best time in the actual car is 2: 06.918 so far.
Maybe it's because it's easier to run with the handle controller for Sony PlayStation (what is it?) At home, or it may be possible to set a fast time that can never be set in real life ^ ^, here In the simulator of, it feels more like a real car, and the brakes are also very heavy.
The first two laps until I got used to the simulator were to run slowly and to get used to it, so the time is not helpful, so when I looked at the time from the third lap, it was like this ↓
Well, after all, when I look at it like this, my current ability is still around 2:07 ~ (on the 5th lap, it ran out a little and failed).
It is good for me that the simulator can remember the course well. No, I already remember it, but there seems to be more to remember.
After that, it's not dangerous because you can try little by little on that course, "Is it okay to step on here more?" Or "Is it okay to not step on the brakes to the last minute?"
It seems easy to go, so I wanted to go there once in a while and have fun.
By the way, I actually ran on the simulator for about 15 minutes on this day. However, the next day, only the calf of my right leg and the right side of my buttocks had a lot of muscle pain.
However, it was also fun to be able to step on the brakes as much as I could ^^
Let's go again ~.
