The number of new Porsche cars sold in Japan in 2023 is a record high of 8,002 (+11.2% compared to the previous year).
This figure announced by Porsche Japan is based on research by the Japan Automobile Importers Association and the Japan Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations.
Number of new Porsche registrations (in Japan)
2023 | 8,002 units |
2022 | 7,193 units* |
2021 | 7,009 units |
2020 | 7,284 units |
2019 | 7,192 units |
The main reasons for the increase in domestic sales (new registrations) are:
- Stable supply of vehicles through supply chain restoration
- Continued strong performance of 2-door sports cars including Porsche 911
- Taycan achieves record annual number of new registrations
are listed.
Due to various reasons, the annual number of new registrations for Porsche (domestic) has not increased dramatically over the past few years compared to the past, but in any case, strong numbers have appeared again in 2023. I think it was a great thing for Porsche Japan to (return?).
