The Fest. ②

Posted date: November 1, 2023 Updated date:

This article is "The Fest. ①] Is a continuation.

Now, let's take a look at the pits after No. 35 and the contents around them.

First, there was a kids cart area.

It seems that children as young as 4 years old can ride by themselves (2 years old and older if accompanied by a guardian), and when I saw them, small children seemed to be having fun riding.

It was a great atmosphere with the staff cheering the children on.

There will also be an exhibition of cars owned by EBI Group customers who are participating in the race.

It has a lot of impact because the colors are all the same.

Furthermore, a large Pirelli gate has been built, and a Pirelli booth is located nearby.

There also seemed to be a demonstration of tire changing, and I was able to hear various explanations about tires from the Pirelli staff.

Here you can get drinks for free ↓

Oh, and among the staff members walking around the venue that day, there were some who were marked with a certain mark (?).Postcard of Dai Tamura's art work'' or ``face/body tattoo stickers,'' so there was also a mini-event where you could receive them by talking to them (or answering questions).

I also received a tattoo sticker here this time. I didn't wear it this time, but I'm happy with it.

Thanks to everyone's help with postcards, we were able to collect all types of postcards. Thank you & I'm happy again ^^

There are various things going on inside the pit, and in this pit you can play with radio controls ↓

Using Porsche Lifestyle's (official Porsche goods) radio-controlled Taycan, children can time attack on a specially set course.

It seemed like there was a prize from Bang & Olufsen for the person with the fastest time, and adults were also allowed to participate, but as expected, one adult got so excited in front of the children that he was aiming for the fastest time. Yes, I don't know (lol).

A ``CLASSIC Dr. Kikuchi's Classic Porsche Course'' was being held in this pit where a 1973 Porsche 911E was on display.

Mr. Kikuchi, a Porsche classic meister with 33 years of experience, gave various explanations about classic Porsche.

The interior of this pit was decorated with brick-patterned wallpaper;Previously learned about "Brick wallpaper at Porsche's Zuffenhausen factory"is not it? ? ?

Attention is paid to every detail ^^

This is the exhibition pit of LE GARAGE, a select shop for car goods.

This is "Taycan Tech PIT" named Taycan's secret ↓

Exhibition of various parts and tools related to Taycan.

And the exhibition of Taycan.

It is called the Snake Pit among American mechanics. The complicated cable part inside the Taycan that looks like a lumbering snake was also clearly shown.

Speaking of showing us what's inside, in this pit next door, they showed us the rear part of the 911 engine under the title "Heart of 911" ↓

As someone who has always only seen 911s in complete form, I find it painful to see them like this, but I wonder if I've finally gotten used to seeing them these days. I was able to calmly look inside and think, ``Haha, this is what it looks like'' (what is that?).

The engine (1987 993 type) is also on display. The bottom is a mirror so you can see the back side properly.

Various tools were displayed one by one with detailed explanations, and it really felt like an event that was created mainly by the technicians and everyone in the after-sales department.

There is a photo booth in the back.

On this day, in advance (or on the day), we had been able to request Dai Tamura to create an illustration of our favorite car, so it seems that this was set up as a photo booth for those who applied.

There are also workshops where you can make coin cases and other items by reusing waste seatbelts...↓

There is also a Porsche lifestyle sales booth.

I was thinking, ``I won't be participating in the driving program this time, and if that's the case, I won't have much to do.'' (Sorry), but that wasn't the case at all, and there were so many different events and exhibitions planned. I was there.

If you take your time and enjoy each one, one day won't be enough. With so much to offer, I wish I had gone early in the morning.

This year's The Fest. was not a manufacturer's event, but rather an event organized by a single Porsche dealer group. It was so large that it was hard to believe that it was an event organized by a single Porsche dealer group, and I think the content was wonderful and carefully thought out to make it enjoyable for the participants.

...It seems like the blog is over, but it's not over yet.

After this, there will be a parade run that will be the culmination of the day's events.

There was a 911 for shooting, and the camera was set up like this.

At the end of the day's event, a parade run was held around Fuji Speedway in which all participants of The Fest.

It seems that there were about 230 vehicles registered for The Fest., but it seems that the number decreased slightly because some people were unable to come due to illness or other reasons, but even so, only 200 vehicles participated in the parade run that day. that's all.

There are two Ruby Star Neo Porsches right in front of my house. nice.

Up until now, when we had parade runs at FSW at other events, we had entered the course from the so-called Porsche Gate, but for today's parade run we entered from the pits, and for the first time, we entered the course from the pit lane. The route involves running in the opposite direction and entering the course.

As those of you who know FSW will know, it is running in the opposite direction. A slightly fresh experience ↓

This is a commemorative photo taken by someone who was right behind me.

I'm so happy. And cool. Ah, I complimented him again even though it was his own car. n/a.

Let's get into this course.

THE FEST. -75th Anniversary- by EBI GROUP is also included.

First, everyone stopped their cars on the straight and took photos.

Furthermore, on this day, we were given special permission to take this grid photo with a drone, so we also took pictures with a drone.

EBI's efforts to take this commemorative group photo and video were also amazing.

When lining up cars from the front, the sticks were used to neatly align the distance between the cars in front and the ones behind. What an attention to detail.

However, depending on whether you do this or not, when you look at the whole thing, it will make a difference whether you get a disjointed impression that says, ``It's just a random thing,'' or ``It's a beautiful scene that has all been put together to some extent.'' I think it's obvious.

I thought it was really wonderful to see how quickly the staff prepared and responded to such small things, but it was really difficult to do everything.

The Porsche flags along this straight also seemed to have been collected from other places when it was time for the parade run.

I think it's the accumulation of all these small details that create a wonderful experience for the participants.

Porsche's Shacho was also photographed ^^

Between the commemorative photo shoot and the actual parade run, we had some time to do a grid walk, so we talked with other participants and took pictures.

The sight of Porsches everywhere, whether you look in front of you or behind you, is truly amazing.

And I think that the fact that everyone here has something in common - they love Porsche - has created a space where everyone can feel extremely happy.

EBI's THE FEST. provided such a happy space and time.

After participating in an event sponsored by the EBI Group, I end up praising the EBI event and everyone at the EBI Group so much that it makes me feel like I'm a complete EBI swindler, right? There may be some people who are disappointed, but just as a participant, I am moved every time.

This time's The Fest. was an event planned and managed mainly by the EBI Group's after-sales department, and the great thing about "EBI's after-sales" is that events like this are very happy for customers. I think it's one of the most representative.

They will not only support you for a long time after the purchase, saying, ``I sold my Porsche, it's over.I'll do the maintenance'', but also ``Let's continue to enjoy the Porsche I purchased.''

I think there are many people who usually enjoy Porsche alone, and who are fine with that.

However, I think that by holding events like this, some people will be able to enjoy Porsche in a different way than usual, learn things they didn't know before, and have the fun of making new acquaintances (= me) .

At this event, I was also able to greet people I met at past Porsche rallies.

Even if we don't usually meet, I think it's really wonderful that just because we shared a good time at the same event, we can have fun talking again the next time we meet.

As always, everyone at EBI Group sent us off with smiles until the very end.

I'm really impressed. I feel even happier when I find people I love even when I see them off.

And for some reason, when the event ends, I end up feeling like I'm glad it ended successfully, just like the staff members do (lol).

I'm sure this is because, even though they are big events, we know that these events are handmade by the staff.

This time I participated in The Fest, which started with my first experience staying at the Fuji Speedway Hotel, and I really enjoyed it.

Finally, the souvenirs I received this time were a The Fest bag (black and easy to use), a towel, an official Porsche Lifestyle mug, and a new mint green crest key chain (everyone had a different color). There were also souvenirs that seemed to be from sponsors, so it was very fulfilling.

Also, when it comes to the next event, there may be some staff members who think that the preparations are so difficult that they don't want to do it anymore (lol), but we don't say that. We look forward to your continued support. ← I'm sorry if I'm asking you as a casual person who just wants to participate ^^

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Porsche, the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911, and in fact, this year marks the 25th anniversary since the EBI Group started its Porsche business.

The Fest was held in a milestone year for Porsche, the 911, and EBI. I'm glad I was able to participate.

Thank you to everyone at EBI Group and everyone who participated in the event with us for another enjoyable Porsche experience ^^
