The Fest. ①

Posted date: October 30, 2023 Updated date:

EBI Group's 75th Anniversary Porsche Sports Car Participatory Event "The Fest."

A Porsche event called ``The Fest.'' was held at Fuji Speedway on Sunday, October 22, 2023.

This is a Porsche event for EBI Group customers who are celebrating the 75th anniversary of Porsche and the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911.

EBI Group's Porsche Centers are located at:

At this event

  • 1 ENJOY (run)
  • 2 CARS (see)
  • 3 KNOW
  • 4 TOGETHER (Enjoy together)

The event was centered around four things, and there were various running programs that you could participate in (Click here for driving program plan).

This time, I didn't apply for any particular driving program, but rather just participated in the event with a meeting plan.

That's why I was able to relax at the Fuji Speedway Hotel where I stayed the night before until the check-out time of 12:00 ^^

When I finally left the hotel and entered Fuji Speedway and headed towards the paddock...at Mobilita, which was on the way, the driving program had already begun.

Everyone here seemed to enjoy experiencing full acceleration from 0 to 100km/h, driving through chicanes, and controlling at low μ.

It seems like I was able to try out banked driving in a demo car driven by a professional driver, so I wanted to try that out.

First, head to Paddock A and park in the designated spot.

By the time we arrived at the venue, most of the people had already arrived, so there were already many Porsches around.

By the way, on this day, the reception was supposed to start as early as 7 a.m., but the meeting plan I participated in was a leisurely plan where reception started at 10 a.m. and ended at 12:30 p.m.

This was a good thing for us to participate this time.

EBI Group is the place to share your memories with Porsche.

First, we will complete the reception at the reception desk next to the Taycan celebrating Porsche's 75th anniversary.

right hererallyI met the person who was also the chairman of the steering committee, and I said, ``I'm glad it was a sunny day!'' But I knew from my past rally experience that things would definitely get better if I had him with me. We both said, ``Ah, we knew it would be sunny, right?'' ^^

For me, one of the things I look forward to is having conversations with everyone at EBI and being able to share various histories and events from the past.

We're sharing memories.

I think it's really wonderful that you can share your Porsche history with us as memories. That is truly priceless. The EBI Group will do that for you.

Now, after checking in, I went back to my car to put my bib and number plate on my car.

This is the first hidden license plate I received. The entire surface is a sticker, so just peel it off and stick it on.

This is groundbreaking.

The bib number will also be pasted on the front and both sides.

In addition to souvenirs at the reception, I also received a tag and a flag that I could use on the day.

Tags are color-coded depending on the trip plan in which they participate.

Above the pit, there were displays showing the various driving programs that were being held that day.

I finally got to the reception desk at 12:30, and from there I was pasting my bib on and before I knew it, it was just before lunch.

First, I headed to the Crystal Room to meet all my friends who were participating that day.

There were also crest-shaped cookies here...but I didn't have time to eat them! I guess I came a little too late. It was too relaxing (lol).Fuji Speedway Hotel is comfortableToo much.

It quickly became lunch time for people with meeting plans, so I headed straight to the lunch venue.

A stage set against the background of a photo that is also used in The Fest.'s programs.

There were also sponsor exhibits in the Crystal Room, which was the lunch venue.

Probably MooRER and TagHeuer here.

TAG Heuer generously gave out a watch to one person who registered as a customer on that day (I think?).

Drinks at the lunch venue are self-service.

The meal consisted of three parts: an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert, and the appetizers were quite large.

Each item may seem small, but when you put it all together, it's quite a filling meal. Moreover, suddenly there was a truffle in the center, which had an impact. Luxury ^^

During this lunch period, there were greetings from the EBI Group representative, the steering committee chairperson of this year's The Fest, and Porsche Japan CEO Philipp (Mr. Philipp von Witzendorf), as well as the presentation of the events that will be held later. There was an explanation from Porsche Pro about the parade run.

The main dish of the meal was beef cheek braised in wine. I ate it wondering if it was someone's preference that the garnish was rice instead of bread ^^

I forgot to take a photo of the dessert, but it was an assortment of fruits.

We had already enjoyed the event as we had watched the driving program that had been held from the morning from the hotel, but we did not actually enter the venue until noon.

As soon as we arrived at the venue, we ate lunch, and before we knew it, it was almost 2pm and the parade run was going to start at 3pm, so we hurried to have a look inside the event venue.

In addition to this event, the leveled driving program, and the Mobilita driving experience, there were various experiences and exhibits at each pit.

This event is all handmade by the EBI Group, and no event companies are involved.

I think it must have been really difficult to prepare such a rich program. However, because everyone had prepared each item for me, I felt that each staff member in charge of each item was able to handle each item with their heart and soul.

This is a racing simulator experience ↓

There will also be exhibits such as the EBI Group's past race participation history.

In the exhibition space called Gathering of Passion, iconic Porsche models are on display.

Wow, there was a tractor too (made in 1950) ^^

This is an extremely rare vehicle with only 15 units produced.

964 Supercup
911 Speedster
356 PreA
911/73 Carrera RS
911 GT2 (993)

The vehicles on display are illuminated from below with red and blue lights in the 75th anniversary colors.

The exhibition hall and lunch venue were also decorated with photos introducing the EBI Group and photos from past events held by the EBI Group.

These are the kind of memories that we can share with you.

Thanks to everyone in the EBI Group, I have also received many wonderful connections with EBI Group customers. Thank you.

This is getting long so I'll stop here.

Next, we will continue with the exhibits after Pit 35 and the parade run.
