A new collaboration model between TAG Heuer and Porsche has been born.
The name is "TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Porsche Panamericana."
The name is long (lol).
This watch is an automatic, 42mm steel watch with a satin and polished finish, and is the TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph x Porsche Panamericana Special Edition, a legend filled with adrenaline and innovation.
Featuring a bezel-less construction and a domed sapphire crystal glass box, it has a sporty yet elegant design, and the COSC-certified TH20-09 tourbillon movement is rounded off with a rotor inspired by a Porsche steering wheel, ensuring unparalleled precision and a power reserve of approximately 65 hours.
Limited to 255 pieces worldwide.
This model pays tribute to the legendary race, the Carrera Panamericana, and the Porsche 550 Spyder that won it.
The event celebrates 70 years since the 1954 race, when the Porsche 550 Spyder took first and second place in the under 1500cc sports car class, and third and fourth place overall.
The granular feel of the dial of this model is said to represent the texture of asphalt on the road, and the silver, yellow, and black colors are taken from the color scheme of the original vehicle.
The side has the "Spyder" logo, the curved flange has the Porsche logo, and Panamericana written at 6 o'clock.
Limited to 255 pieces, each watch is individually numbered and comes in a lacquered black wooden box with yellow highlights engraved with "Limited Edition."
The price in Japan is listed as 5,368,000 yen on the Tag Heuer online site, but it is listed as out of stock online.
718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special
Now, Porsche has announced the 718 Spyder RS Panamericana Special to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Porsche's participation in the 1954 Carrera Panamericana in Mexico.
The aim was to recreate the spirit of the mid-engine 550 Spyder, and the car is based on the 718 Spyder RS. It was created by Sonderwunsch in collaboration with Exclusive Manufaktur.
The aerodynamic parts and the carbon fiber parts of the Weissach package are painted Centenaire silver, from the NACA ducts at the front to the fascia, air intakes and the Gurney flap-style rear spoiler.
The magnesium wheels are combined with high-gloss black PCCBs for a modern look.
The center of the wheel is also a TAG Heuer shield.
This car is a homage to Hans Herrmann's class-winning 550 Spyder, so it is painted yellow with the number '55' (his number was 55) and has a TAG Heuer shield on the front.
While the interior is primarily black, the full bucket seats are finished in Carmine Red leather with Carrera Panamericana embroidery on the headrests.
The door sill features Sonderwunsch engraving and the colors of the Mexican flag on the driver's side, and a silhouette of a 550 Spyder on the passenger side.
The design of the door sills can be changed on the left and right! Well, it's a Sonderwunsch, so anything goes.
Red leather is also on the steering wheel.
The inside of the trunk is also bright red.
Another distinctive feature is the TAG Heuer shield on the central armrest.
The inside of this armrest is apparently a mount for a watch, which was designed by TAG Heuer and implemented by Porsche's saddlery department, but is not available for purchase.
This is where the newly announced limited edition TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Porsche Panamericana watch can be securely attached.

This limited edition model will be auctioned off for charity in 2025, with the proceeds going to support non-profit organizations.
