PTX performance lesson content

① Participate in Porsche Truck Experience Performance: PTX 2021
As for the program contents, all people do the same contents in one day, but the order of the training contents changes depending on the group to which they belong.
Annotation:
★ I think that many people will participate in PTX in the future, so I am writing only the minimum possible lesson content. Actually, you can tell us more and more about the intentions and points of each lesson ^^
★ I have uploaded the running video of my training this time below, but I'm embarrassed, but for your reference & I think it's my own record, so I dare to comment like "I'm not good at it" Please don't do it ... I'm depressed (laughs).
A radio (transceiver) will be distributed to each participant, so instructions and advice can be obtained even while driving.
Of course, the instructions and advice from the radio are only for driving, and before and after each lesson, everyone can get out of the car and get together with the instructor to receive proper explanations.
Corner braking
The first lesson in Group C where I was was "Corner Braking". It is a braking lesson using the actual corner of the Sodegaura Forest Raceway.
It's about braking suddenly from various approach speeds and knowing the braking performance and the feeling of turning a corner by using ABS, but I like to step on this brake as much as possible.
It's fun because it's not a normal life to step on it like this. And the hazard that lights up automatically when you brake suddenly is also fresh (what you are enjoying ...).
Safety line
The next lesson is a cornering lesson called "Safety Line", which also uses the real corner of the circuit.
Practice going out to the 8th corner of Sodegaura and making the most of the grip of the tires.
This is my run (21 seconds video) ↓
Throttle steering
The third training is "throttle steering", and it seems that the content of this lesson was introduced into PTX for the first time from this time.
By entering the course made of cones at a fixed speed and turning off the accelerator (without using the brakes) after crossing a certain line, you can feel the load transfer and turn the steering to the left and right, and finally the accelerator again. To stabilize the car by adding a little.
This was quite difficult ~. At the very end, I couldn't get to the point where I put in a little accelerator.
When Mr. Kageyama asked, "Where are your feet when you are off the accelerator and steering?" And answered with confidence, "It's on the accelerator!" Try it. "
I was told that, so I thought "Yosha", and I was enthusiastic about the next time, and I ran the car ... I turned off the accelerator, turned the steering wheel, and finally said "Accelerator on !!" When I stepped on it, the car slowed down! !! !!
… Hmm, yes, my feet were unknowingly moving onto the brakes! !! !! I was surprised at this.
I should have been preparing to step on the accelerator, but while I was turning the steering wheel (?) I was worried somewhere, and my foot was unconsciously going to the brakes.
I came back and told Mr. Kageyama, "I'm sorry, I lied. My foot was not on the accelerator, but on the brake as much as I could, so I just stepped on it and it stopped" (laughs).
It's interesting ~. Even if I thought I was conscious of myself, the unconscious movement was better.
However, even if it was a conversation like "I couldn't do it at all!", I enjoyed it while laughing with the instructor ^^
slalom
The fourth lesson content is "Slalom". This is the last lesson other than circuit driving.
It runs through the so-called zigzag pylon while being aware of the load transfer when the accelerator is turned on and off.
This slalom, I experienced for the first time when I first participated in PTX Precision.
At that time, I was able to drive this slalom only at the maximum speed of 40km / h even if I could put it out.
But this time! I was able to get through this slalom at 60km / h.
At first, I was stepping on like the last time, but on the way, Mr. Kageyama asked, "Are you fully open?" So, "Let's go fully open when the accelerator is on."
From my point of view, it was "What?"
I instinctively confirmed, "Well, that, when it's fully open, the accelerator pedal can reach the floor, are you talking about that fully open?" (Laughs).
Because, even though it's a bare carrera between such short cones, it's a carrera that accelerates tremendously when it's fully opened. ?? ?? What? (* Running is fixed at 1st speed)
But, but Kageyama-san says "I can do it," so I'm sure it can be done! I thought, "I'll try it", and I took the plunge.
Slalom, all fully open when the accelerator is on! I'm sure you can!
Hey! !!
The first shot was a little too long to fully open, so I couldn't control it with the third cone and slipped to the outside. I tried to fully open it again without being disappointed. I won't be disciplined ^^
So, I slipped back again ~ (laughs). I'm glad I managed to control it myself.
But! !!
When I tried it, it was fun to say, "Slalom is fully open on the accelerator," and I've come to understand the feeling, so from the second time onward, I've been able to do it properly even though it's fully open. was fun! !! !!
Here is a video of slalom (20 seconds video) ↓
No, this PTX was even more rewarding for me than ever before.
I was able to tell me that "Porsche is like this, so I can definitely do this kind of thing", and when I believed it and tried it, I was impressed with "Oh, I really did it!" I was happy to hear that you could say "I can do it, try it" that I can't do with.
And when I actually tried it, I was even more happy ^^
I was glad that Mr. Kagami also praised me with a lot of income.
When I couldn't do what I was told at first, I tried to fix what I was advised to do a little more next time, and when I was able to do that, I said "Yes, it was very good ~". I was really happy and smirking when I was able to do it.
I also looked at the drive recorder later, but even when I failed during the lesson, I was laughing alone in the car, "Ahahaha". scared.
In each lesson, I tried to fix what I couldn't do in the first time in the second time, and improved it in the third time ... When I was able to do it, the instructor said, "Let's do this a little more." And gives me advice from another perspective.
It was really fun to understand what I was doing and to feel that I was able to do it little by little.
After the morning lesson, it's lunch time.
I didn't notice it at all, but there was a restaurant in the back of the Sodegaura Forest Raceway, and it was lunch there.
Avoiding the crowds, it is a meal for only 2 people per table.
The appetizer, salad, dessert, and drinks were buffet style, and the main dishes (+ rice, soup) were served at each table.
This is the main dish! !! great. It will be gorgeous! ↓
This one tastes good ...
Well, I think it depends on each person whether it tastes delicious or not, so I would like to leave my impressions out.I guess.
Circuit driving in Taycan
After lunch, there was also a test drive time for Taycan.
It was one lap per person, but I was able to run the Sodegaura Forest Raceway. An instructor is on board in the passenger seat.
I drove this coffee beige metallic Taycan turbo.
After all, the moment I got on the train, I was asked, "Isn't it possible to launch?", But after all I couldn't start with launch control. disappointing. But I want to experience it someday.
But, for the time being, I was able to fully open it, and after all I enjoyed the great feeling of acceleration!
Due to the transfer, I couldn't run using the straight, so it was fully open after turning the first corner, but I was able to fully open at a short distance from there → even sudden braking without any anxiety. Chau.
It has a cosmic acceleration sound, so it's fun to say that it's accelerating, but when you're driving other than that, it's like a gasoline engine car. It doesn't make a noise.
Therefore, I felt that my senses changed even when I was running on the circuit. The fact that there is only a change in speed while there is no change in sound means that my brain cannot keep up.
Still, the performance as a car is wonderful, and when I got off, it was a great Porsche that I could drive on the circuit normally in a good way so that I thought "that? Was the Taycan an electric car?" ^^
