For the time being, before the car was delivered and I was driving myself, I was afraid to drive myself suddenly, so I thought "I want to experience the actual GT3 driving in the passenger seat first" (← strange thing??).

So, on the day of delivery, I decided to go to the Porsche Center myself, and instead of suddenly picking up the car and driving home, I had the salesman drive the GT3 and I got in the passenger seat.

Is it more like a "test drive" than a "delivery" (laughs)? I feel like that, but I may never have tried it in advance when I bought a car. You may have tried a car that you didn't buy in the end, but you didn't test drive a car that you actually bought.

First high-speed driving with Porsche 911 GT3 991.2

I didn't have the courage to drive at high speed on my own, so it was very meaningful for me to experience high-speed driving from the passenger seat, and it was a really grateful and happy experience. The sound of accelerating was really great!

Furthermore, while I was driving, I was able to pair Porsche with my smartphone and set up a connection with Porsche Connect, which was efficient.

I really just drove a little bit in the neighborhood, but I still wanted to ride it all the time from the morning, so I was happy.

I went to pick up and parked my first GT3 on the street with meter parking (suddenly (laughs)). It will be hard if you rub or hit it from the day after delivery! I was super nervous and said, "Hmm, I was stopped!", Satisfied with the parking that I just stuck straight in (laughs), and I was surprised when I went outside.

Differences felt between the late 991 model 911 Carrera and GT3 (city riding)

And don't forget. The first thing I thought about driving the GT3 was. I haven't run at high speed yet, so I just tried running around the city at a maximum of about 3,000 rpm, which is my impression of driving.

First of all, when I sat down in the driver's seat, I thought that the brake pedal was in front and the accelerator pedal was far behind.

Compared to Carrera, it's completely different. Carrera feels like both pedals are in the same position, but GT3 clearly has the accelerator in the back. So, I was worried about whether to adjust the seat position to the brake or the accelerator, but I gave priority to the brake. (* When I talked about it, my husband told me that it was natural to give priority to the brakes!)

And when driving, the whole GT3 has the impression that it is "heavy". I know in my head that the weight of the car is lighter in GT3 than in Carrera, but after all, when I drive, I feel that the car is heavy.

Perhaps because there is no creep, even if I step on the accelerator, I feel that it feels heavy before starting the car, so the first stepping force is required more than Carrera. …is not it? When I told the sales person, "(my) black 911 is a turbo, so it has the power to be applied first, but this GT3 is NA (naturally aspirated without turbo), so that's the difference." So that's it. * According to her husband, "When you drive at 5,000 rpm or more, the weight is moderate and you have a good balance with extremes."

Next, Porsche's amazing brake "PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake)", which I was interested in, does not feel any inconvenience when riding in the city slowly (it works too tightly, There is no such thing as a car becoming a kun → If you use the brakes normally instead of sudden braking), it works well with Mr. Carrera's brakes, so I can not tell the difference so much because I am insensitive to ordinary street riding It was about (laughs). However. The difference in the feeling when slowly stepping on the brakes when riding in the city is that the brakes of the bare Carrera 911 are like "pressing the brake pads like smooth rubber", and the PCCB is "something ceramic-like". It feels like it's pressing against something that's slippery and smooth.

This may be a prejudice due to the phrase "ceramic is mixed" in the PCCB (laugh), but when you really step on the brake slowly, the GT3 PCCB pushes against something slippery than the normal brake of Carrera. There is a feeling of being smooth, or rather beautiful. It's flood control, so you don't know that! You might think, but it really feels different. I can't convey it well in words and my teeth are sick.

And, after all, the sound is completely different from that of Carrera-san!

It's more messy. However, after all the engine sound is "Porsche sound", I do not know what to express, but the fat sound at the time of acceleration is really the best.

I feel that the GT3 is larger than the Carrera in the "difference between the normal sound and the sound when the sports exhaust is turned on" when the sports exhaust is turned on. When you use Spoeki, it obviously turns into a feeling that a louder and more powerful sound is added.
